Was originally going with a Taylor made Spider X hydro blast putter which was also comparable but in the end with the adjustments to shaft and the head this putter suited my eye better and was more consistent. I bought the Ai One S2S# 7 this July. I 've been a blade putter most of my life and always had less comfort and success trying other style putter heads. This putter cracked the code for me. Through just a couple rounds ive seen huge improvements in putting consistency and makes inside 15ish feet. Give this model a shot if my story sounds familiar. I change putters like socks, and have owned almost all makes including top of the line PING PLD, LAB, Scottys, etc. That said, this amazing putter requires no hand manipulation, only a very simple Brad Faxon stroke. Without question, the results were as perfect as it gets. The roll is pure, the feel is perfection, and it's so easy to align. The major benefit for me is that it holds the line and rolls perfectly towards the hole exactly as your read dictates. This one will stay in my bag for a very long time. The only things I have to adjust, which is normal for any putter is the length of the stroke for distance control and once I got the feel, the distance control was astoundingly easy. From long putts to 5 footers, they all play like taps ins. Zero cons and all positives. Once again, Odyssey has produced a world class winner. From the price point to the technology, it's as good as it gets. I play to a 7 handicap and expect that to drop very soon. This review is honest and no one paid me for my input. Great putter. Feels really stable. I really liked the look and feel of the regular S2S# 7, but at 6'4 '', I needed a 36 '' or 36. 5 '' putter. The best thing about this putter compared to other zero torque is easily the face insert. The entire thing feels soft yet springy-- like the entire thing is a sweet spot. The fitter( 2nd Swing) said I did n't get enough forward press, but the nice thing about the Odyssey is that they could adjust the loft and lie at the fitter. Apparently you ca n't do that with many other zero torque. I 've been putting on my putting sim and after just 4 or 5 sessions, I know it's keeping my face square since my face angle at impact have improved. I 'm sure that will translate to more 5- 15 footers made where I know I previously struggled. This putter is worth a try, but definitely get fit. The jailbird is theoretically more stable but I just could n't line it up-- something about the shape and alignment of the# 7 suited my eye better. I 'm giving it a 5 overall, but if I had to ding it, it would definitely be on the grip. The feel is fine, but it does n't seem terribly durable. I 'd also like to see Odyssey make a grip with built in press since it's hard for me to put the 3- 4 degrees of press on my own.

True story. I bought this putter without ever having so much as picked one up. It was delivered Tuesday. I took it to Lake Forest Golf& Practice Center on Wednesday to test it out on their practice green. The green was closed that evening- for their `` LFG Masters Putting Contest ''. Still wanting to try it, I entered the contest. I got to the first `` hole '', took the cover off the putter and found the plastic wrap still on the putter head. So, I peeled that off and started putting. Like. A. Boss. Wound up winning the tournament and a special Masters putter cover( unfortunately it is for a blade putter). I look forward to a long relationship with this S2S Jailbird Cruiser. I only hope it continues to do what it did, which was get in the hole. It feels great and the most important feature I found was that putts went where I expected, both in direction and in distance. When any golfer puts that together with their ability to accurately read greens and breaks, they 'll be deadly. Here's to a long, healthy relationship with my new Square 2 Square. For reference, it replaced a 12+ year old 2- Ball Backstryke putter for which I just seemed to lose touch and feel.

I love this new putter! I 've been playing with a center shafted, center weighted STX putter for around 20 years, and have never been able to hit a heel shafted putter of any sort as well. I tried most of the Odyssey putters in the stores numerous times while shopping... and always came back to this one. The balance and additional weight feel great and lead to a solid and true stroke. I 've been to the practice green several times, and played 2 rounds so far and have been impressed. I feel that I 've gained distance control and am getting the ball closer with a more consistent roll. It's only a matter of time to get dialed in and start dropping more putts. My only minor complaint is that the grip is not as big as the Super Stroke I 've been using, but it's of adequate size and shape for a similar feel.

This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!

I was looking at all the available counter balanced putters, and this is the one I kept coming back to. In my unscientific side by side with the Taylormade, Tommy Armour, Scotty Cameron, etc. this is the one that I made the most putts with and felt most confident with. Performed excellent on the course, too- I was a noticeably better putter while using it, one or two putting almost all 18. Feels great, works great. If you try it and it works well for you, there is zero reason to buy anything more expensive unless you want to pay an extra couple hundred to have a different logo etched into your club.
