This is for Kayak fishing but add the track to a board and your open water Garmin transducer to the arm and you have a year round sonar. Without an arm like this the standard transducer cable is too stiff to keep the transducer pointing straight down which is critical when in flasher mode.

[ I like the Xplore 9, the reason for 4 star rating is because my local lake( Lower Otay) is not included on the Lake Map micro SD card, other than that, I love this system
