My prior boot was a 442 in K Leather. I visited a local New Balance store to verify my correct size was a 12. 5 wide I only walked around the house in these but they felt great and a litte lighter then my prior 442s. Had I not been wanting to try a different cleat design vs conical studs on the 442, I would have kept these instead of going with the Furon v8. One thing I have noticed while wearing the Furon is the knitted upper provides less protection when your foot is stepped on but the opposite side of that is how much closer it feels to playing the ball barefoot. I 'm a big fan of all the New Balance boots for players with wide feet. If your foot is wide, you know what I mean. Whichever boot you choose you will be happy you gave New Balance a try.

He said they ’ re his favorite that he ’s worn so far because they ’ re really comfortable, they feel light, and he feels like he ’s running faster in them. He ’s been able to wear them for a few practices and games and they seem to be holding up really well so far. That ’s always my biggest concern with youth shoes for sports, but these seem pretty durable and well made. My only slight complaint is the tongue is a little too short but it ’s not enough of a problem to bring down the rating. I will probably pick up a pair for my 6 year old as well now.
