The two side pockets are useable and can hold either a can of balls or my water bottle. The smaller one, I just use for misc things. The bag accommodates my 2 racquets though very tightly. If you 're paranoid about getting your racquets scratching each other in there, you may want to look somewhere else. Otherwise, the overall finish of this bag is very nice and easy to clean. I would but it again if needed.
