I have used Lightning TRSs, Twisters, and Maxxums for the last 30 years. This is the best skate ever for Skate to Ski. It ’s stiffer than other skates so the support is outstanding. The new liner and footbed fit great. It fits so well that I took off the 45 deg buckle. I also put on a frame for bigger 90mm wheels. Great job Rollerblade!

After watching videos, reading reviews, comments on YouTube I went with these…amazing skate, true to size, extremely durable, very supportive around the ankles! Highly recommend for beginners and advanced skaters!!

I 'll start with the not great part first. Break in period was tough- probably b/c prior to this, I have n't skated since the Mighty Ducks franchise was in theaters. Once broken in, these babies fit like a perfectly- worn glove and they perform like Kobe in the clutch. Agile, fast, smooth, and supportive, my Twister XTs are BY FAR the best skates I 've ever worn. As good as advertised, do yourself a favor. Stop looking and buy yourself a pair.

This is just how kids rollers should be. My 11 years old son has been roller skating for a few years. His level is 20- km family trips with a good speed, roller hockey in school, some tricks and slalom exercises. The model suits perfectly these needs. 4 wheels is better for speed- skating part, 3 wheels- for slalom, hockey. He started in similar model few years ago- and it suits beginners very well also due to very good lateral support. It was 3 weels- only model- and that was ok. The model has short axis included- to smoothly remove brake which is fine for non- beginner level. Shifted size feature works just perfectly. You need just a single pair of good rollers for a few years. I highly appreciate the approach and implementation. I personally have a deep experience in rollers- and if you need all- round kids' rollers from beginner to advanced- that's just it. If you need long distance walking or beginner- level- 4- wheels is preferable, all the other activities- 3 wheels version. I would n't recommend cheaper versions even for beginners- ventilation is not enough. On the other side, if you need specific rollers for slalom competitions, ramp, free- skating( advanced+)- the next model with stiffer boot would suit better

5 GoBlading
I bought my grandson these rollerblades because they are sturdy, well built, and easy to get on and off. Within a short time he was comfortable with them and is getting better every day.

5 Junebug74
My son was ecstatic, he would n't take them off. I had to take them off when he fell asleep.

5 Surfnbiker
The skates look and feel really well built. We LOVE the fact they are adjustable from size 5- 8! Kudos to Rollerblade for producing such a forward thinking product. My son says they are super comfy( I ’ ll take his word for it.) They have a lot of quality features like the fasteners, the are almost like snowboard boots. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

5 So Annoyed

First thing I did was switch out wheels and bearings. Wheels upgraded to 88a( hardness) and ILQ9 bearings. Comfortable with double socks, cause RB run wide. 15 years of blading, this is my 6th pair of RB and second pair of MacroBlade 90's, almost an everyday sk8er.

5 Trojan Blades
I bought a pair of these skates in early July 2022 after realizing that a 3WD layout with larger wheels was going to be the best way to meet my fitness goals. I will admit that when I first heard of 3- wheel skates, I was a little skeptical about the alleged benefits, having been a 4- wheel inline skater for over 25 years. But after only three months with these skates, I am convinced that 3WD skates meet the hype. My endurance and speed have both greatly improved, although this wheel configuration does struggle on uphill stretches more than a 4WD skate does. One change I wish was made for this model is fitting a faster- ratcheting strap fastener. Oh, and a replaceable liner would be nice, too. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about the Macroblade 110 3WD. If you ’ re looking to go faster for longer but don ’ t have the budget for full- on speed skates, these are the skates for you.

I tried some hockey roller blades and didnt like the width fit. These rollerblades are great for wider fit. I was worried I only seemed to have one option for wider fit and it worked out well. They function great too.

5 Alan P
Great ankle support, a bit more than the macroblade model. My foot is 273mm and I got the rb80 size 9. Fit nice and snug, comfy, do n't hurt. Wear 9. 5 in sneakers and boots. Definitely worth the money. I do wish they would put a longer frame than 243mm in size 9 and higher, like the 261mm they put in size 13 and higher, for longitudinal stability. Makes sense and they work much better than the 243mm

5 MikeR
I just picked up rollerblading again after 25+ years. I was concerned about getting a good pair of skates. My previous pair was Rollerblade Macroblade from the 1990s. After looking online these were in the price range I wanted and reviews pointed these were a good substitute for my previous pair. They fit well from the first time I wore them. The control and stability is great. They are light weight and have held up well after the initial abuse they took from early falls relearning to skate. Highly recommend.

These are good quality and I enjoy them. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the size. They were only available in a 12/12. 5 instead of a straight 12. Even with the provided insert, they are a little looser than I would like. I wear a 12 in all major shoe brands.

I rollerbladed a lot when I was a kid- I 'm now 30. I wanted to find an average rollerblade in both quality and cost, and so far these blades have been great. I have time feet( size 5) and the size 5 in women's fit true to size. I have no complaints so far, but I 'm still in my re- learning phase! Only reason I did n't give 5 stars on Quality is because I dislike anything velcro, and the strap across the foot is velcro on these. It gets stuck on the strings.

Frequently Asked Questions For Rollerblades With Brakes

Rollerblades with brakes provide an essential safety feature that allows users to stop more easily, especially for beginners or those who may not be as confident in their skating skills. The brakes can help prevent falls and accidents, making them a great choice for recreational skating or for children learning to skate. Additionally, having brakes can enhance the overall control and stability while skating, giving users peace of mind.

Yes, rollerblades with brakes are suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced skaters. For beginners, the brakes offer a sense of security while learning to balance and maneuver. More experienced skaters may also appreciate the added stopping power, especially when skating in crowded areas or on varied terrain.

When choosing rollerblades with brakes, consider factors such as the fit, wheel size, and overall design. A proper fit is crucial for comfort and control, while wheel size can affect speed and maneuverability. Additionally, look for adjustable options if you need flexibility in sizing, especially for growing children.

Yes, rollerblades with brakes can be used for various skating activities, including recreational skating, fitness skating, and even light tricks. They provide the versatility needed for different environments, whether you're skating in a park, on a smooth path, or in a skate rink. However, for more advanced tricks or speed-focused skating, specialized models may be preferred.

Rollerblades with brakes typically feature a braking system that allows skaters to stop more easily, while those without brakes may rely solely on technique for stopping. This difference can significantly impact the user experience, especially for beginners who may benefit from the added safety of brakes. Additionally, the design and weight distribution may vary, affecting overall performance and stability.
