After searching through local sports stores, at the rink, big box stores and websites, we finally chose the Chicago boys rink skates for our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. They are easy to get on and off, support his ankles, and glide smoothly around the basement floor. They are also suited for the indoor roller rink, which he will be going to soon for a party. He uses them to play roller hockey. Although the shoe is a vinyl, it looks and feels almost like leather-- too bad they still are n't made with leather. We purchased them two sizes bigger than he wears for growth. He wears long sports socks over his regular socks, and that works fine. I would recommend these skates over others that we found at big box stores.

These adjust easily and my kid was off and skating quickly. He hasn ’ t complained about his feet hurting or pinch points the way he did with his racket strap skates. They do however take a lot longer to get on and he can ’ t do it himself but the improved comfort is worth it.

Bauer is a great tried and true hockey company and these blades do not disappoint. Took a little work to get the nose cap to move which I ’ m ok with because I don ’ t want the boot to easily get longer or shorter. Other than that, my 4 yo loves skating with them inside and outside.

If you are wondering why I 'm back on the site after one and a half years it's because I 'm planning on buying these skates again for my mother and I since my mother want some skates and I need new ones( I have gone up 2 shoe sizes since I last got my skates). I 'm like a 80's kid again. I bought these skates so I can get some cardio in. These Chicago Inline Skates are great. They come with a wrench so u can adjust your skate wheels. They only come in whole sizes. I wear an 8 1/2 so I got a size 9. They were a lil big, but they fit perfect with socks.

I saw a lot of reviews stating that these skates run large and so should be purchased as a size smaller than you actually wear... well I did n't want to do that( I have big feet, size 10) and I did n't want to take the chance that they would be too tight. So anyway, I ordered my size( 10) and I 'm very happy I did so... I do n't think they run large, I think they run pretty true to size. As a product, great quality and a great value!

I choose this skate because I am not a white shoe fan and wanted to the black ones. So for women if you choose this skate and have a wide foot I would buy in the size you are. I am a size 7 1/2 and purchased a size 7 men's. These feel and fit great even with thick socks on. Use the charts given as a guide. However, I purchase a different Chicago skate in a size 6 and could n't get it on my foot so the various types of skates matter when selecting a size for a woman. I am glad I ordered these from Dick's the last pair cost me to have them shipped and to ship them back, just beware.
