The wheels glide smoothly and feel supportive. The boot is comfortable and sturdy. The pompoms and extra strings are a nice touch. As stated, the wheels do light up when in motion. Bonus feature: the boot glows in the dark too. So cool! Made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning... but, I 'm 40 something and it's February; •) Best purchase this year!

Wheels are for outside skating not ribbed for indoor and sizing is off, I wear size 6- 6. 5 womens& size 4 is what fit, size 7 was huge even on a guy at the store that wore size 9 in mens!!! Super cute, but I did not keep them as I needed to buy new wheels& bearings for indoor rink use!!!

So far so great! Many reviews I read here and at other stores suggested replacing the wheels immediately. I have found them to be in terrific working order and have n't seen the need to replace anything just yet. Very comfortable, perfect fit/size and I would suggest wearing them with thicker socks especially until you have broken them in and stretched them out a bit. Very happy with my purchase online!

I am very pleased with the skates so far. I 've gone skating several times in them and can say that they are far more comfortable and fun to skate in than the rental skates. The boot was very comfortable and roomy. This was my first pair of traditional roller skates so I can not really compare them to other brands or models. I have owned several pairs of roller blades in the past, and I think these skates are far better for traditional, indoor roller skating. Overall I am very satisfied with the skates given their price.

The Chicago Men's Deluxe Rink roller skates are for my husband who loves to skate, but had problems with the rental skates at the local rinks. He is so happy with his new skates! They only needed a minor adjustment of the wheels and he was ready to go. Two hours of skating on Saturday night got a rave review from my husband.

After searching through local sports stores, at the rink, big box stores and websites, we finally chose the Chicago boys rink skates for our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. They are easy to get on and off, support his ankles, and glide smoothly around the basement floor. They are also suited for the indoor roller rink, which he will be going to soon for a party. He uses them to play roller hockey. Although the shoe is a vinyl, it looks and feels almost like leather-- too bad they still are n't made with leather. We purchased them two sizes bigger than he wears for growth. He wears long sports socks over his regular socks, and that works fine. I would recommend these skates over others that we found at big box stores.

I have bought these skates like one year and a half ago, and I just love these skates they have n't broken and I haven never had any issues with them if your going to get skates and you a beginner these are perfect ones to start with. If you are wondering why I 'm back on the site after one and a half years it's because I 'm planning on buying these skates again for my mother and I since my mother want some skates and I need new ones( I have gone up 2 shoe sizes since I last got my skates). So I would really recommend these skates.

Bought these for my 9 year old son. Great skates! Awesome fit! The sizing charts on Dick's website were very helpful. Price was competitive and shipping much quicker than the estimate. My son loves them and they 're durable for his age and great to learn on!
5
Dimples02
I choose this skate because I am not a white shoe fan and wanted to the black ones. So for women if you choose this skate and have a wide foot I would buy in the size you are. I am a size 7 1/2 and purchased a size 7 men's. These feel and fit great even with thick socks on. Use the charts given as a guide. However, I purchase a different Chicago skate in a size 6 and could n't get it on my foot so the various types of skates matter when selecting a size for a woman. I am glad I ordered these from Dick's the last pair cost me to have them shipped and to ship them back, just beware. These also were sent to me within 24 hours after ordering and I had them within 8 days. I really did like that.

I ordered these as a Christmas present for my son. I ordered one size bigger than his shoe size( 4) so they would last longer. Size 5 is big for him but not too big to use now. I was concerned about how smooth the wheels are, but they seem durable and not slippery. He was able to skate that day and enjoyed them! I would recommend this product.

I 'm like a 80's kid again. I bought these skates so I can get some cardio in. These Chicago Inline Skates are great. They come with a wrench so u can adjust your skate wheels. They only come in whole sizes. I wear an 8 1/2 so I got a size 9. They were a lil big, but they fit perfect with socks.

I saw a lot of reviews stating that these skates run large and so should be purchased as a size smaller than you actually wear... well I did n't want to do that( I have big feet, size 10) and I did n't want to take the chance that they would be too tight. So anyway, I ordered my size( 10) and I 'm very happy I did so... I do n't think they run large, I think they run pretty true to size. As a product, great quality and a great value!

I ordered these for my 7 year old daughter. She is just learning how to skate, and after reading reviews for every skate I saw, I chose these. I am so happy I did!! My next decision was where to order them from, Dick's had the best price, and was a pleasure to deal with. The skates arrived exactly when they said they would. The only thing I would change is the shipping option. I could not choose to have overnight shipping. Other than that, I am so happy with this purchase! Oh, and my daughter LOVES THESE SKATES!!! I only wish they had these in my size, so I can learn too!( on a slow skate! LOL)

It amazes me how much better you can skate owning your own pair of skates rather then renting them at the roller rink. My Grandsons skating improved 100% within one night of skating with these new skates. You figure the average rate to rent skates is about 4. 50 per night. These skates paid for themselves as far as I am concerned and they are comparable to much higher priced skates.

Beautiful skates. My daughter received them in a ladies size 3, turned out they were a girls and they fit perfect. So dont be surprised by the sizing on the box. I 'll start with the not great part first. Break in period was tough- probably b/c prior to this, I have n't skated since the Mighty Ducks franchise was in theaters. Once broken in, these babies fit like a perfectly- worn glove and they perform like Kobe in the clutch. Agile, fast, smooth, and supportive, my Twister XTs are BY FAR the best skates I 've ever worn. This is just how kids rollers should be. My 11 years old son has been roller skating for a few years. His level is 20- km family trips with a good speed, roller hockey in school, some tricks and slalom exercises. The model suits perfectly these needs. 4 wheels is better for speed- skating part, 3 wheels- for slalom, hockey. He started in similar model few years ago- and it suits beginners very well also due to very good lateral support. It was 3 weels- only model- and that was ok. The model has short axis included- to smoothly remove brake which is fine for non- beginner level. Shifted size feature works just perfectly. You need just a single pair of good rollers for a few years. I highly appreciate the approach and implementation. I personally have a deep experience in rollers- and if you need all- round kids' rollers from beginner to advanced- that's just it. If you need long distance walking or beginner- level- 4- wheels is preferable, all the other activities- 3 wheels version. I would n't recommend cheaper versions even for beginners- ventilation is not enough. On the other side, if you need specific rollers for slalom competitions, ramp, free- skating( advanced+)- the next model with stiffer boot would suit better

I am new to inline skating, and these skates have been great! I sized up from 9- 9. 5( my usual shoe size) to 10- 10. 5 so my toes were not scrunched.

I bought these skates a couple years ago during 2020.. I had n't rollerbladed regularly since I was a kid, but it was fun to get back to it with these!! I rollerblade with my dog every other day or so, or whenever I do n't want to physically run with him, and they have held up well so far! I am now to a point where I 'm looking to either get new wheels or switch skates entirely as my skill progressed. Also, when I lost some of my bearings when skating rough terrain, I called Rollerblade and they transferred me to their' guy in the shop'( i 'm forgetting your name im so sorry, but thank you so much) and he sent some to me right away-- no charge. THANK YOU ROLLERBLADE!!! Amazing company!

I bought these blades to rehab my knee after surgery so I could get back on the ice quicker for hockey. I 'd put in 8- 10 miles at a time at a pretty good clip on an asphalt trail. These held up pretty well for 6 months and then one of the lace loops broke.( I had to replace the wheels and bearings every couple of months and bought those on Am%$# but I think I put above average wear and tear on the skates). I am now working on my second pair of these skates to maintain fitness and I think they 're great. If you have any problems with them not staying tight, I 'd suggest buying a pair of waxed skate laces( available on line at Dicks) and that should take care of that. Good skate at a reasonable price.

Great boot, liner, height,& wheel- size@ 90mm: good support, comfortable, not too much of a jump in height( 80mm> 90mm), solid wheels& fast bearings. ... Rollerblade has always been a superb operation: professional, prompt, thorough, safe, and they deliver what they

I 'm back on inlines after 22+ years off skates( last on 5- wheel/80mm Simmons, RacerBlades, and ProBlades in 1999- as a 10+ year ultra- distance road skater: A2A, NY100K, etc.)- and the Maxxum XT did not disappoint. Great boot, liner, height,& wheel- size@ 90mm: good support, comfortable, not too much of a jump in height( 80mm> 90mm), solid wheels& fast bearings. Extremely satisfied. If I make the jump to 110mm wheels, would plan to get these in that size( I 'd get the 125mm boots, and downsize the wheels). Rollerblade has always been a superb operation: professional, prompt, thorough, safe, and they deliver what they represent. I will definitely continue doing business with them. Thank you on all counts.

First thing I did was switch out wheels and bearings. Wheels upgraded to 88a( hardness) and ILQ9 bearings. Comfortable with double socks, cause RB run wide. 15 years of blading, this is my 6th pair of RB and second pair of MacroBlade 90's, almost an everyday sk8er.

I bought these about a month ago and hadn ’ t skated since I was a little kid, and it only took me a few days to pick up. Super beginner friendly and the break is pretty easy to learn to use. Highly recommend for anyone trying to learn the sport.
Roller skates with laces provide a customizable fit, allowing users to adjust the tightness for better ankle support and comfort. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who engage in activities that require stability and control, such as skating in rinks or performing tricks. Additionally, laces can enhance the overall aesthetic of the skates, offering a classic look.
Yes, roller skates with laces can be suitable for beginners, as they offer a secure fit that helps with balance and stability. The ability to adjust the laces allows new skaters to find their comfort level, which can boost confidence while learning. It's important for beginners to choose skates that provide adequate ankle support to prevent injuries.
Roller skates with laces are versatile and can be used for various activities, including recreational skating, fitness skating, and even artistic skating. Their design often caters to both indoor and outdoor environments, making them suitable for skating rinks, parks, or smooth pavement. The added ankle support from laces is particularly beneficial for more dynamic movements.
Roller skates with laces typically offer a more traditional fit compared to those with buckles or straps. Laces allow for a more personalized adjustment, which can enhance comfort and support. However, skates with buckles or straps may provide quicker adjustments and can be easier to put on and take off, making them a convenient option for some users.
Roller skates with laces are often made from a variety of materials, including synthetic leather, canvas, and durable plastics. The choice of material can affect the skates' weight, breathability, and overall durability. Many skates also feature padded linings for added comfort, which is essential for extended skating sessions.
Yes, roller skates with laces can be used for outdoor skating, provided they are designed with suitable wheels and bearings for outdoor surfaces. Outdoor skates typically have larger, softer wheels that can handle rough terrain better than indoor skates. It's important to consider the wheel type and material when selecting skates for outdoor use.
