Once you ’ ve lived with MJ ’s it ’s almost impossible to go back to other brands. But I had always wished they would make a frame similar to the shape of the Wayfarer( but without the dramatic tilt). So I was super excited when the Melemele was released. It ’s a great size for my narrow face, I love that it ’s a 6- base curve, and the icing on the cake is that it uses their new Ultra lens. They are also very light and so I don ’ t have any problems with slipping even when active. Very, very happy with these new sunglasses.

This is my first pair of MJ and I am amazed how crisp the visibility is. They are comfortable and lightweight. Note these will not stay on top of your head and they sound very ‘ creaky ’ when opening to put on. It does not interfere with use, just an odd sound.

I tried on sooooo many before I found the right ones for me. The Ocean frames are extremely light weight, which was the main deciding factor for me. I live in Hawai' i where the sun's always out and shining bright so I needed something to wear daily. The lens are enough to reduce glare but not dark enough to cause fatigue on the eyes. I love how the island colors are vibrantly enhanced!!! The only small issue I came across is that the bridge of my nose is not as prominent and occasionally, when I start to sweat, the glasses eventually slip down. I obviously was n't sweating in the store when trying them on, so that is a possible factor to consider. Other than that, these are awesome!

Anyway I am reviewing the ROSE colored lenses I despise the blue light of overcast days, it gives me a headache. Grey or tan lenses do not help alleviate this. But ROSE do! It is so hard to find a good pair of rose lenses. There is a reason there is a saying about mood and rose colored glasses. I adore my new MJ in all lower sun conditions. As one reviewer pointed out they are not great for high light conditions. For that I have my other pair of MJ's. But I wear these all winter long and on all overcast days. It really helps the mood and keeps the headaches at bay.

[ The most essential thing for sunglasses is the way they fit an individual face. For me, it has always been difficult to find sunglasses that fit my rather low nose bridge, as Asian Fit glasses usually fit me best. The glasses that work best for me are the Oakley Half Jacket with raised nose pads, and the Oakley Holbrook. When I tried these on, I instantly knew they were a winner. Somehow 100 Percent has managed to create a sunglass that fits almost all face types. They 're light and they stay in place as well, which is important for active pursuits that these sunglasses lend themselves towards. Time will tell how the optics perform, but so far, the photochromic feature changes shade within 90 seconds or so. The periphipheral view is adequate, and the frame bar in the middle of the sunglass does not get in the way of vision.

[ These are the only shades that fit my low nose bridge and high cheekbone face. No need to change out nose pads either. Photochromic lens work as advertised though a bit dark when clear or light lense needed. All in all, great sunglasses and very happy with them.

[ Immediately after taking these out of the box I was upset because there was a HUGE scratch on the corner and a smaller one right above the nose. The bigger scratch looked like someone had dug it out with a knife so I checked the photos again and it sure does not appear on the stock photo of the color that I purchased but there are some that show it because it is apparently 100% ’s marking?
