It happened to be my mother who I gifted them to that works in a plant on her feet 8- 10 hours a day. As soon as she opened the box she absolutely loved the colorway she got as it can match multiple things as well as the style/look of the shoe. Once she got the shoe on foot she walked around the house and said she felt more bounce and spring in her step wearing them. I bought these a year ago. They ’ re a great shoe for all types of gym workouts and for walking. I ’ m not a runner so I can ’ t comment on that specific aspect. These are a great casual shoe to wear for comfort and support. The soles are not overly thick and high like the Bondi 9 ’s. I have plantar fasciitis and I have inserts added. They worked well with my inserts. One thing that I find most attractive about this pair of Hokas is the colored gold and black strips which I find really nice to break up the visual thickness of the bottom sole. It also adds more style to the shoe.

[ Straight out of the box, the Nike Structure 26 has that wow factor. While its fun bright color is aesthetically pleasing and exciting to wear, it also helps during low light visibility conditions due to its Hyper Pink color and reflective areas on its sides. I am currently wearing it for daily activities, walks, hikes with my family and occasional runs. The underfoot has just the right amount of sink- in softness and rebounds smoothly. It is plush, stable, supportive, offers cushioning and is particularly comfortable. For this reason, I used it on recovery days as the breaking- in phase. The tongue and color have lots of padding which I am not used to but I consider them a plus. The mesh fabric is breathable and of very high quality. The fit is just right, true to size, snug enough to feel supportive and is becoming more comfortable with every use. I found the Nike Structure 26 to be more comfortable and natural than other running shoes that I own. Unfortunately, the outsole rubber in the Structure 26 is already showing some wear although it has good traction. The tongue could be a bit slimmer, but I 'm being nitpicky here. All in all, I love it and I got many compliments about its aesthetics. It's true to size, comfortable and has extra support and stability.

Looking at them, you 'd expect them to feel heavy because of the thick sole, but they 're actually surprisingly lightweight. When I 'm walking or jogging, it feels like there's very little impact on my joints because of how much cushion they provide. They 're also true to size, which is always a plus. I usually have to buy wide shoes, but these have plenty of room without feeling too loose or restrictive. The fit is comfortable right out of the box. One thing I really appreciate is how smoothly they roll from heel to toe when walking. It just feels natural. I have plantar fasciitis, and the arch support has been great. Normally I can feel some soreness after jogging, but I did n't have any foot pain or discomfort after wearing these. My knees and hips feel great during my run as the cushioning does a good job reducing impact. I bought my Echelon 10 ’s about 6 months ago or so. I wear them everyday. I ’ m on my feet everyday working in the healthcare field. These shoes have come with me as my only shoes to Germany and Austria. Hiking in the Alps, walking on cobblestone, flat surfaces, etc have been a breeze. I also exercise in these outdoor areas asking, gym, riding bikes. I have chronic foot pain and neuropathy and Echelon does not hurt my feet. I don ’ t run but these make excellent walking shoes. I do a lot of walking every week and my last pair lasted about a year. The insole compresses which is normal and the inside of the heal where your foot slides in starts to wear and look unsightly. I did notice that on the echelon 10 the ankle on the side of the shoe rubs more than the last pair. I ’ m guessing a slight change in the design made the sides of the opening higher? It ’s not so bad that I can ’ t wear them and I ’ m hoping that that area will break in a little and no longer be a problem.

These are the best Paradigms yet. I have no back pain wearing these shoes and they feel amazing! Like previous Paradigms you will need to size up a 1/2 size. The most comfortable walking and standing on your feet all day show I have ever owned in my life and I am in my 50's. People complain of heel slippage. I have very narrow heels and it does slip a little bit but you just tighten the upper shoe strings and it fixes the issue.

Paradigm 8 Wide in Black. I have wide feet and very low arch. The cushion is awesome in all areas. I have inward overpronation and this is my first shoe with guide rails to correct this and have support. It took me couple of days to get used to the rails. At the beginning I felt some moderate pain in my left arch as the guide rails do n't let you do the inward overpronation. I started wearing the shoes for 30 minutes for a walk, then next day an hour, until I was able to reach almost 8 hours between walking and seating. The left arch pain went away as I got used to the rails. So, I kept the shoes. They are what I needed for all day support. I tried the new Torin ST for support, but Paradigm 8 felt better, maybe because of all the cushion. I would buy another pair in a different color, but the other options for wide does n't include the light blue. I hope Altra makes light blue an option for wide shoes.

Ryka shoes are my new favorites. My first Ryka purchase was a pair of Echo Knit Slip- on Sneakers and they fit like they were made specifically for my feet. Same thing with these LX Walking Sneakers. They hug the feet with no rubbing in any unwanted spots. They are lightweight, very cushioned and have excellent arch support. I have a long narrow foot and have a difficult time finding walking/running shoes that are narrow enough for my feet but Ryka, medium width are narrower than other brands I 've tried. I 'd recommend you order the wide width if you typically wear medium width in other brands. I 'd also recommend sizing up ½ size if these will be used for walking/running. I mistakenly ordered the same size as the Echo Knit Slip- ons I had- 8. 5 medium- but for running I should have ordered a half size larger. It's too late to return them because I 've already worn them outside for a run, but they are great for just wearing around. I guess I 'll need to order a 3rd pair of my new favorite shoes!!

I do think the shoe itself runs a little small in terms of the length so I would probably size up a half size if I ran outside in them. I wear these shoes everyday for about 80% of the day and can ’ t imagine wearing any other shoe. They are not only comfortable but also stylish. The gray color is a great shade that pairs well with the pink. They are easy to take on and off and the traction on them are great specifically when walking down hill. The toe box on the front of the shoe helps your foot stay in place without letting your foot slide forward while also giving you a good grip to the floor when walking and running on uneven ground. [ I ’ ve worn the Ariel GTS 26 shoes for about a week now, and they felt comfortable from the moment I put them on. I took my dogs for a long walk and kept waiting for that usual “ new shoe ” feeling, but it never happened. No blisters or tightness. They felt broken in from the start. As a runner, the nitrogen- infused cushioning feels soft enough to make pavement miles easier, but not so soft that I feel unsteady. The fit has been really easy. There ’s enough room in the toe box, but the shoe still feels secure and doesn ’ t slip around. Even after a couple of three mile runs, my legs felt good, which isn ’ t always the case. I ’ ve worn the shoes on sidewalks and through wet grass and feel like they have really good traction. Also, the heel pull tab is one of those little things I didn ’ t think much about at first, but I ’ ve ended up using it a lot, especially when I ’ m rushing out the door. What ’s been nice is that they don ’ t just feel good, they actually look good too. A couple of my friends have already commented on how cute they are. I ’ ve worn them with workout clothes, jeans, and leggings, and they literally go with everything. I like that I can go for my runs in the morning and just keep them on the rest of the day. I have had the Windswift for about a month now and I was a Brooks runner for 15+ years. These shoes have been great. I have ran outside, on the treadmill and also done some HIIT work in them. They provide stability, enough cushion but not over the top. Too much cushioning is difficult for me when doing HIIT work bc I lose stability during side to side. When running outside they have good traction on the pavement. Definitely a great running shoe.

I ’ m obsessed with everything about The Gabby! From the moment I pulled them out of the box I knew they were special — they hit all of my favorite colors in one shoe and the lace detailing adds such a fun, stylish touch that makes them feel way more fashion- forward than your typical workout sneaker. I wore them for a lifting/stretch workout, and they were incredibly stable and secure during squats and lunges — no slipping, sliding, or rolling. I could feel that firm foundation underfoot, plus the cushioning made them comfortable even during the cool- down and stretching portions. I am recovering from a right foot Achilles tendon rupture surgery. I have been in a boot for 3 months. I at first needed a sturdy shoe to wear on my left foot to give me support and a little height to get close to matching the boot height. Today I get to wear shoes on both feet but still with heel lifts in my right shoe. It is all working. Great support. The soles are firm, which I love. I don ’ t like soft and mushy. They also look terrific. I will be able to( have to) wear them as I dress for holiday functions. I have medium wide feet and they fit just fine. But other than that, great shoe, fun to run in for those recovery runs.
