The pin hole did not line up with my Reese hitch. It would not seat far enough due to design. Luckily my FIL is a machinist and could modify the sleeve, so I am able to make it work. He also modified the part that holds the pole, so that the flag pole can ’ t slide all the way out the open bottom. And then he painted the whole thing black. Good quality metal, seems sturdy. I use it to proudly display a 3x5 American Flag on the back of my Jeep with a 1 ” metal flag pole.

We had to buy a 2x4 to hang it between two support posts that were too far apart to use for the sling, but everything else came included in the package as advertised. I am very happy with my purchase of the Malone J- dock Kayak& Gear storage rack. Installation was easy. I did use a bigger drill bit than instructed to drill the pilot holes for the screws, and used socket rather than a wrench to make it easier on myself. The whole installation was about 20 minutes. Once installed, placing my kayaks in the cradles took about 10 minutes. The straps to hang the second kayak did not ratchet as easily as I would have liked, and I suggest using your own straps, having help to take weight off the straps while you ratchet them up, or using something under the kayak to hold it up while you tighten the straps. Installed on kayak in short time. Locking feature for rod holder is nice. Not super easy to turn but not too difficult either. Plastic seems strong and durable. Rod holder can be pulled out of base without too much effort, but it is secured and isn ’ t going got come out on its own without being pulled out.
