5 SteveinOttawa
These are fantastic! I 'm normally a gloves guy but I bought these for very cold conditions and they did not disappoint. The fit is excellent. They kept my hands warm for two hours on a snowmobile at- 18C( without grip heaters). I like the snug cuffs, they fit under my coat sleeve and keep the snow out. Time will tell but they seem durable and well constructed.

5 Anthony G
I 've been using these gloves 2- 3 times weekly for around 4 months now. They 're starting to show some wear on the palms, but I believe that's on me for not treating the leather first. These gloves have keep my hands warm in temps as low as- 25° with the wind chill added. Still very efficient even when my hands got sweaty in them.

5 Richard B
Super high quality materials and construction. The majority of the mit is a really nice quality leather with great feel. Elastic cuff is fairly snug pulling them on but gives nice closure and feel once on.

5 Lucas D
As a ski instructor these mittens did the job perfectly. Worn in temperatures ranging from- 15°F to 40°F with no issues. The leather feels premium and the overall look of the gloves is great.

5 loggermike
I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

5 KMRM
Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side-- seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand-- I also bought the white leather ones for cross- country skiing.

5 Alib5
Absolutely love these gloves- gift for my husband and he exceptionally pleased with the fit and warmth!

5 InnerLooper
[ Purchased these for an upcoming Jan Denver trip( colder than a March Denver trip) Will update it after returning. So far seems like a nice well- made glove. Leather is soft and flexible. I used the scale to pick the size and although eh circumference meant the glove fit well, it was a little short for my fingers by a few mm, not much but noticeable. The liner is nice and seems to be able to be removed and washed separately( velcroed inside) the wrist strap is thinner than the TNF one I had before. Overall seems like a great option. Kids hate the three- finger look but I think it's the best of both worlds. Warmer like a mitt on the last three fingers without giving up on the dexterity of a thumb and index finger to grab things.

5 Boo2020

Frequently Asked Questions For Ski Mitts

When selecting ski mitts, consider features such as insulation, waterproofing, and breathability. Insulation helps keep your hands warm in cold conditions, while waterproof materials prevent moisture from seeping in. Additionally, look for mitts with adjustable cuffs for a secure fit and enhanced protection against snow and wind.

Ski mitts are designed to provide more warmth than ski gloves due to their enclosed design, which allows for better heat retention. While mitts typically offer less dexterity than gloves, they are ideal for extremely cold conditions. Ski gloves, on the other hand, provide more finger movement, making them suitable for tasks that require greater dexterity.

Ski mitts are often made from a combination of synthetic materials, including nylon and polyester, which provide durability and water resistance. Insulation materials like down or synthetic fills are used to keep hands warm. Additionally, some mitts feature a waterproof membrane to enhance protection against wet conditions.

Yes, ski mitts are available for various age groups and skill levels, making them suitable for everyone from toddlers to adults. When choosing mitts, consider the specific needs of the user, such as warmth, fit, and ease of use. Beginners may prefer mitts that are easier to put on and take off, while experienced skiers might prioritize advanced insulation and waterproofing.

While ski mitts are specifically designed for skiing, they can also be used for other winter activities such as snowboarding, snowshoeing, or even casual outdoor winter wear. Their warmth and waterproof features make them versatile for any cold-weather activity. However, for activities requiring more dexterity, you may want to consider gloves.
