I bought these for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in March( temps 10- 40 degrees, snowy). They kept my hands warm and dry! Even after my hands were cold and starting to tingle, putting on the mittens warmed them up to a normal temperature. Love the wrist straps and extra little loop that helps you pull them on.

Love these gloves. I recently wore them for a weekend skiing in Vermont and they were great. I love the longer length and loops to keep them in place so I do n't worry about dropping them on the chair lift if I take them off to get something out of my pocket. Kept me warm with hot hands warmers for hours in 10 degree weather skiing. Definitely recommend

I use these to snowboard and they 're sooo warm. I take them off and let them hang from the wrist when I 'm waiting for/on the lift. I wear wrist guards and was in between L and XL. On the wrist, the width felt like the same size but the XL felt longer in the fingers area

[ Second pair I bought for my son as he is going on a ski trip out west. He swears by his older pair and I figured he needed a 'fresh' looking pair on the slopes. And the mitten keepers are a great feature, along with the hoops so the mittens can be attached to his coat.

Great activewear. These are comfortably thin and breathable for active sports, e. g., ascent on splitboard, but still warm and protective in below freezing conditions. The reinforcements are well- placed for trekking pole straps. Reflective accents add visibility in low light.
5
Ryan M
The gloves do a great job lightly insulating, they are n't waterproof but still do a decent job keeping your hands dry. I 've hiked with them, they make good driving mitts too. They are pretty windproof too which makes them the most useful in colder windy weather. My only complaint is if you 're wearing a watch or some other form of wrist accessory, the wrist parts of the glove do n't do a great job accommodating for that. Other than that, great mitts.

I have Reynaud ’s and can never keep my hands warm. These mittens aren ’ t perfect, I still get cold fingers, but they are the best I ’ ve had in a very long time. The inner mittens are great on their own. I use them primarily for running, but they would be great for skiing and other winter activities. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. They ’ re big and a bit bulky, but they ’ re warm, well made. I have been wearing the inner mittens in warmer temps using trekking poles. I haven ’ t used them enough to know how well they will stand up to this use.

The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. The recommended sizing for me was a M. I went up a size and they were snug, but very comfortable. The quality of these gloves are outstanding. I 've already recommended them to a few friends and family.

[ I lost a mitten when hiking, and I really wanted to cry! You see, my hands get cold easily, and they warm up slowly. The mitten I lost had `` gloves '' inside and the extra material kept my hands very warm. Well... I came home and looked at options to buy another set of mittens. Since I like Patagonia's clothing and accessories, I ordered a pair of their mittens. When they arrived, I was shocked at how thin and light they were. However, I decided to wear them on my hike that day. The terrain was snow- covered icy trails in the foothills. Within 15 minutes, I literally had to remove my mittens because my hands were do warm! I love that they are roomy, lightweight, have a great palm covering and can easily fasten onto my jacket. Thanks, Patagonia, for a fantastic winter accessory!

Got these for my mother and she has really liked them for cold windy walks with the dogs. These work best in frigid, single digit temps like what we have in mountains of Colorado. The mittens by themselves without the electric heating are enough for temps in the low double digits. Dexterity is what you expect from a mitten- you learn to use your thumbs! Quality of materials and construction seem solid- time will tell. Sizing seems spot on.
5
Jon M
Very comfortable and warm, with multiple heat settings.

I bought these for my girlfriend as a gift. She has reynaud's and has had really cold hands every single day we have skied, even in the spring! These gloves have completely changed her skiing experience and keeps her going for a lot longer! She rarely goes above the lowest setting, except for when on a cold chair lift. Really impressed with these. We ski 70+ days per season and so far she has used them every single day. Battery life is pretty good! There seems to be better out there for battery life, but get a spare and always have them charged and you 're set!
5
Georgina C
This is my third pair of heated gloves, and by far the best. I think mainly because they are mittens, with no finger separations. So the whole space gets heated. I don ’ t even suffer from my thumbs getting cold! So far the batteries seem to last well even on the hottest setting, but I ’ ve only taken them out half days. I do find that I need to charge them overnight.
5
Phil4719
Because our family has poor circulation and gets very cold hands, these heated mitts have become essential for squeezing maximum value out of each of our precious snowboarding days. We can now stay out until we actually get tired rather than being forced to take a break due to being too cold. We purchased one pair in early 2023, one in late 2023, and one in 2024. Although the high price tag will necessitate years for us to fully outfit our large family, the incredible effectiveness of these mitts have prompted a goal to have ten pairs within the next several years. We 've had good experience with the batteries thus far; lasting most of a typical day of snowboarding. Planning to purchase some back- up batteries to have on deck for extended days. For the latest pair we chose the oyster color, which looks WHITE on the webpage, but it is not white-- it's closer to SAND. Since we were hoping for white to go with a girl's purple jacket, the sand color is a disappointment, but fine. Function is the most important thing here. SIze note. We all wear wrist guards underneath our mitts, and the size XL has been compatible with that protection system. Even our youngest family members( age 10) can use the size XL over their wrist guards and it works well.

Very solid and warm mitt. Fit is on the larger side and there is no internal glove. I ’ m usually an XL but probably should have order a large. Bonus is this allows easily wearing a thin glove underneath for super cold temps. Downside is the thumb is too long to pinch zippers and buckles easily. Great glove but check sizing you want carefully

The palm material is flexible, textured, and just the right thickness for durability. ... They are keeping my hands MUCH warmer than gloves alone, and when it's particularly frigid, I 'll stuff a HotHands handwarmer in each to help keep my fingers

I used the Revel Shell Mitts to climb multiple mountains. They allow for a much easier mitt change during intense ascents while also providing the option to keep a mitten or glove underneath. During my winter exercises as part of my military duties, they allowed me to manipulate my weapon quickly without freezing my hands, especially when combined with a pair of Vigor Lightweight or Medium Sensor gloves. The combination of these two gloves is just perfect from- 10 to- 20 degrees.

These are the cats meow. I put a thin pair of the merino wool mitts on the inside and wow. Perfect pairing. Even on their own they rock. Must have for anyone one who plays outside in the spring or anytime really.

Beaker
These mitts are lightweight but do a great job of blocking wind and water. I use some flurry gloves underneath them in the cold weather or just use the shells by themselves for shoulder seasons.

[ Great product. FITS over original mittens perfect. Just right. I ca n't believe the force you to write a 90 character review. I thought this was supposed to be voluntary, not a short story.

[ Just what I wanted for unpredictable Colorado mountains in summer. I got this for my daughter who starts the school year with an 8 day backpacking trip. Keeping dry and warm is the key to success. This lightweight gear can make all the difference.

I bought a pair two years ago when we got winter weather in late October. Woman with small hands and have cold and numbness in fingers below 45°f! I bought a YOUTH S, but M more suitable. Ca n't beat the price! I did n't want to give in and buy rabbit or animal line gloves or mittens SO THIS WAS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE. I live in the mountain area of Northern Massachusetts Berkshires, it gets darn cold!

A needed upgrade to my old gloves. Use them in CO all winter skiing, and only need hand warmers when temps drop to single digits. Otherwise, keep my hands super warm and dry. Would definitely buy again.

Took these gloves on a late season walk hunt. Snowed several of the days. These gloves kept my hands warm no matter what I was doing. I fully recommend them to everyone!

I have owned these mittens through two seasons now. Through that time they have held up very well through trees, being dragged on the ground, and carrying around sharp edges of a snowboard. I waited on making a review to see how they held up over time after being completely soaked and dried numerous times, and evaluate the wear on the palm. Both have impressed, but not as much as their warming capability. The thing that will separate these from other mittens is their ability to warm while wet. They are not as waterproof as some other gloves as this price point, but they are the warmest mittens I have ever used and they retain that warming ability even when the inside is saturated. My suggestion would be an alternative to velcro for the wrist cuff as snow gets caught on it very easily, making it difficult to use( draw string?). These gloves have been used between temps of 15- 45 degrees F on the west and east coast in clear and stormy conditions. Picture displays palm wear after 1. 5 seasons of heavy use.

These mitts kept my hands warm even on cold days! I did go out on a wet and warm day but it did n't seem to wet out on me on those days. If the mittens were exposed to water for a long duration of time then it may have soaked through. Overall great mittens and I would get them again!

Been darn cold here in CO this winter- lotsa subfreezing days, especially in the hills. Keeping the digits cold is paramount to a good day on the slopes- and the mercury mitts keep everybody happy. The real deal.

I thought they would be good based on the specs- solid amount of synthetic insulation, durable palms. They exceeded what I hoped due to the hi pile inner lining. Had them bushwhacking/ breaking up deep snow this winter on some ADK high peaks and even when I had to squeeze out my glove liners from the snow dumping off everything and getting everywhere the pile lining does not collapse/wet out and allowed me to keep hands warm/ evaporate some of that wet. The outers were frozen due to all the water, and I was still fine. So they get major points for damp/icy/cold NE winters because they deal well with the constant moisture. Used them on several overnights as well and they were still functional handling a couple days of it. Can sleep with the removable liners on overnight to dry if needed. Palms have held up to various spruce/fir scrub swimming, some ice ax use, and clawing through deep snow. Seems pretty good.

[ Been looking for mittens to ski in as I 've never found a glove/liner combination that works. My wife and kids have mittens, so why does n't anyone make them for men? Bought these because they were half the price of others and I saw a ski instructor wearing a pair. Soft and supple leather. 4- 5 trips out, and totally waterproof in the slushy winter we 've had in my area. Warm? Sort of. If I was using these as work gloves, maybe. With a smartwool liner, though, kept me toasty down into the lower 20s. Quality wise looks great. The leather looks like it will hold up much better than any fabric. Overall very happy with the purchase. Wish they had some more insulation, but well- worth it for the price and hopefully durability.

Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side-- seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand-- I also bought the white leather ones for cross- country skiing.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.
