My son started casting his arms out when batting and he would swear he was not. Even showed him video on how bad it was. At first he hated using the swing rail and said it did not work. Then good old father puts it on and starts nailing the ball with no issues. He then started giving it a try going slow still he found a rhythm that worked for him. Eventually after a week he was nailing line drives out to the fence and his bat speed increased 22 mph.

I got this ball a few weeks ago with the hopes it would help my 6 year old be less afraid of the ball as she works on learning to play catch. She absolutely loves this ball. We play catch( even inside now that it ’s super cold and snowy) with no worries about getting hurt or fear of the ball that she got from a regular softball. Tennis balls were a nice thing for a while but the fact that this is the right size and weight really helps her get a good feel in her glove for the ball and what to expect when catching the ball she will be using in spring. As she ’s built up her confidence catching the ball we have swapped in a regulation 11 ” here and there and she ’s so happy she can catch and throw it just the same. Here in NY it ’s winter and freezing so definitely not the time for outdoor sports. I decided to give these balls to my lab. We throw and play fetch every time we go out and he loves them. They also allow him to pant when he walks because of the hole in them. I ’ m sure they are great for the sport they are intended for but they are also great for dogs. They are durable and easy to throw because of the light weight. They also don ’ t seem like they would do much damage if using them inside. I officiate ice hockey, and at 50 years old, that means I have sore muscles pretty much all the time from keeping up with high school aged kids. They seem to like to run into me, which is usually fine since I 'm 6' 4 ''/ 225 and a good skater, but I am sure I feel the contact a lot more the next day than they do, even if they hit the ice hard and I stayed on my skates. This ball is a great size to put in my ref bag to take to the rink or use while relaxing on the couch like a softer version of a foam roller. Since I normally dislike foam rollers because they 're too hard, this being softer is a big win for me. I have also started using it as part of light body- weight/ stretching exercises to help with mobility for hockey and golf. All in all, it's been a very good find.

Wow. Let me say, I was looking for a softball preseason training aid. I 'm in a senior league that plays only during the summer. Therefore, any nice winter/early spring days I 'd like to break the rust off my swing. But nice days in Pittsburgh during the months of January/February are few and far between. And getting someone to pitch to me is even harder. Thus the need for a full batting tee. Lets start by saying this Marucci product is well made and very easy to put together. When assembled the tee weighs about 10 pounds. The home plate base is designed with an cut out so you can easily transport with a grip of one hand. Assembly, is 3 pieces and takes about 2 mins. The interesting part is the base has a grove in which you can slide the stand to multiple places and with a simple twist, the tee locks in place. If you want to move it a bit inside/outside just a simple reverse twist and slide it along the `` path '' to your intended spot and twist to lock. As for adjusting the height, its a bit stiff but I added just a bit of WD- 40 and the problem was resolved. So, for durability, the stand only toppled over 1x, and that was after hitting 75+ softballs and a few baseballs mixed in and NO balls fell off the tee. As for performance, you would think I was in mid- season form. I found the sweet spot multiple times and launched several over the fence 235+ feet away. Overall, I give this product 5 stars for ease of use and performance.

I 've used the baseball sized ones and the softball sized ones so I thought I would try the tiny golfball sized ones. They are soft any wo n't damage a window or something like that, but holy moly they fly farther than the bigger balls. And combined with their tiny size you will want to make sure you have enough space so you do n't lose they or hurt anyone, they do sting if you get hit.
