I got this ball a few weeks ago with the hopes it would help my 6 year old be less afraid of the ball as she works on learning to play catch. She absolutely loves this ball. We play catch( even inside now that it ’s super cold and snowy) with no worries about getting hurt or fear of the ball that she got from a regular softball. Tennis balls were a nice thing for a while but the fact that this is the right size and weight really helps her get a good feel in her glove for the ball and what to expect when catching the ball she will be using in spring. As she ’s built up her confidence catching the ball we have swapped in a regulation 11 ” here and there and she ’s so happy she can catch and throw it just the same. I bought this soft toss machine. It tosses baseball or softball to a batter. It runs off a 12 volt rechargeable battery. I have a 20 year old one I bought brand new. It works perfect after all these years. I replaced the batter every so often. I had to replace the arm on it after the 12 year. I called jugs for the part. I sent them the picture of my old machine and model# they sent me the arm free of charge. I own 3 today because I coach and do camps. I have zero issues with any of then except replacing the battery's. I found a good trick to preserving the battery's. I bought a trickle charger at harbor freight. I hooked up this trickle charger to the battery. I drilled a hole for the wire to come out of the machine. I then put a connection on the outside for the charger. I plug in my machine at night when not in use to the trickle charger. My battery's last 2 to 3 years and ready to go any time with out over charging my battery's. I made wooden cases for my machine with foam inside for safe travel. Work horse machine. Love jugs machines. All there products are quality stuff. I only by jugs products.

I did not get a chance to actually use the Training Dura Balls until a good month after I received but was excited to finally use them. Although we are a baseball team, these balls helped us work on our hitting. We started with these balls first then moved onto the smaller training balls. The bigger size helped us get the team to focus on lining the bat centered on the ball hoping this leads them to focus on getting their bats squared up with the pitch. We also used the bigger balls to help our fielders open their baseball gloves more on ground balls to ensure they field the ball. A few of our players were not opening their glove wide enough to field the ball correctly so the bigger ball got them used to opening their glove more to catch/field the ball

I chose the Marucci Dura- ball's because I needed something to use to work on my son's and daughter's swing over the winter inside here in PA where it gets cold and snowy. It's difficult to get in indoor swings with baseballs because of breakage, but the Duraball popped off of the bat really well and are easy to throw. We were able to get in a lot of reps because of it to correct mechanics and level out the swing. We worked from the pitch and doing some Tee work. The Dura- ball is easy to pitch and does n't move around like a whiffle ball, the ball easily traveled the length of the gym on good contact. The Carry Bag that it comes with is really handy and makes it easy to keep track of them instead of tossing them in the bucket with baseballs. I expect to get a couple of off- seasons out of the Dura- Balls and expect to use them in the pre- season when we ca n't quite get on the field yet. Overall, I definitely recommend this product if you need to get in swings outside and have windows, other breakable objects or in a gym.

Love it, having tons of fun with this. Been teaching my girlfriend and my friend how to throw different pitches, and it really helps to have a net that fields to back to you, like this. It comes with 4 lawn stakes, go and buy like 4 more, they are super inexpensive and will help it from tipping over if you accidentally hit on the very top. Only other downside it the screws provided, they will get damaged, I have been using this for about 60 hours now and still have n't broken them, but it's starting to strip the screws provided. But that also is a inexpensive fix to be honest for when it does eventually break the bolt

The ball travels/ floats a decent distance. I have not noticed any problems with the shape of the balls after they have been hit. My son has crushed the balls easily with his hands; however, the shape immediately returns upon release.

Perfect for those days when I dont want to pack up the gear for the park. I was able to take my son out front of the house and work on BP, timing, technique, etc without worrying about balls on the roof, damage to windows, or lost balls. My son loved being out front with his dad and didnt want to stop. He loved the balls and how they felt, and not having to shag long fly balls like at the park. The balls hit my cars and I wasnt even concerned. They were ran over once by a car, no damage. The wind was blowing pretty hard which gave the ball movement but I was able to pitch from 20ft away without concern for my safety which mitigated the wind, but the wind also made my son have to adjust for movement within the swing; also important. We loved them so much I 'm purchasing some more. My son asked to do this on the regular since he enjoyed it so much. How can you argue with that?
