I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

I chose the Marucci Dura- ball's because I needed something to use to work on my son's and daughter's swing over the winter inside here in PA where it gets cold and snowy. It's difficult to get in indoor swings with baseballs because of breakage, but the Duraball popped off of the bat really well and are easy to throw. We were able to get in a lot of reps because of it to correct mechanics and level out the swing. We worked from the pitch and doing some Tee work. The Dura- ball is easy to pitch and does n't move around like a whiffle ball, the ball easily traveled the length of the gym on good contact. The Carry Bag that it comes with is really handy and makes it easy to keep track of them instead of tossing them in the bucket with baseballs. I expect to get a couple of off- seasons out of the Dura- Balls and expect to use them in the pre- season when we ca n't quite get on the field yet. Overall, I definitely recommend this product if you need to get in swings outside and have windows, other breakable objects or in a gym.

I really like these practice balls. I ’ ve been coaching for a few years now and these are great for soft toss batting practice. I wanted to take a picture of us using them, but it keeps snowing here. Balls are great and should last a couple of seasons. I would like them to change the lid on the bucket, it ’s a bit hard to open.

Purchased this as a Xmas gift for my kids that play both little league softball and baseball. Agree with others that switching the assembly between softball and baseball takes a couple minutes and is n't really feasible in the same session. Otherwise it is consistent and will meet my kids needs for the foreseeable future.

I ’ ve been using this machine for 2 weeks now and it ’s working out great. The pitches are all strikes but not exactly the same place so it ’s not too easy. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!
