I officiate ice hockey, and at 50 years old, that means I have sore muscles pretty much all the time from keeping up with high school aged kids. They seem to like to run into me, which is usually fine since I 'm 6' 4 ''/ 225 and a good skater, but I am sure I feel the contact a lot more the next day than they do, even if they hit the ice hard and I stayed on my skates. This ball is a great size to put in my ref bag to take to the rink or use while relaxing on the couch like a softer version of a foam roller. Since I normally dislike foam rollers because they 're too hard, this being softer is a big win for me. I have also started using it as part of light body- weight/ stretching exercises to help with mobility for hockey and golf. All in all, it's been a very good find.

This weight stays on very well. My only knock on it is how difficult it is to get on certain bats because of the knobs on certain bats. I typically leave it on just one bat, because it is to cumbersome to be taking off and on. I would not use this in a similar fashion to a donut.
Weighted softball training balls are designed to enhance strength and improve throwing mechanics. By incorporating these balls into your training routine, you can develop greater arm strength and increase your throwing distance. Additionally, they can help improve hand-eye coordination and overall batting performance by allowing players to focus on their swing mechanics.
Choosing the right weight for a training ball depends on your current skill level and training goals. Beginners may want to start with lighter options to build strength gradually, while more advanced players can opt for heavier balls to further challenge their muscles. It's important to ensure that the weight you choose allows you to maintain proper form during practice.
Yes, weighted training balls are versatile and can be used for a variety of drills, including pitching, hitting, and fielding exercises. They can help improve your throwing velocity, batting power, and overall performance. Incorporating these balls into your training regimen can provide a comprehensive workout that targets multiple aspects of your game.
Weighted softball training balls are commonly made from durable materials such as rubber or synthetic leather, which can withstand repeated impacts during training. The interior is often filled with a weighted substance to provide the necessary heft for strength training. This combination of materials ensures that the balls are both effective and long-lasting.
The frequency of using weighted training balls in your practice routine can vary based on your training goals. It's generally recommended to incorporate them a few times a week, balancing their use with regular practice to avoid fatigue or injury. Listening to your body and adjusting the intensity and frequency of your workouts is key to maximizing the benefits.
While weighted softball training balls can be beneficial for players of all ages, it's important to consider the player's skill level and physical development. Younger athletes or beginners should start with lighter weights to ensure they can maintain proper technique and avoid strain. As players grow and develop their skills, they can gradually progress to heavier options.
