Ryka shoes are my new favorites. My first Ryka purchase was a pair of Echo Knit Slip- on Sneakers and they fit like they were made specifically for my feet. Same thing with these LX Walking Sneakers. They hug the feet with no rubbing in any unwanted spots. They are lightweight, very cushioned and have excellent arch support. I have a long narrow foot and have a difficult time finding walking/running shoes that are narrow enough for my feet but Ryka, medium width are narrower than other brands I 've tried. I 'd recommend you order the wide width if you typically wear medium width in other brands. I 'd also recommend sizing up ½ size if these will be used for walking/running. I mistakenly ordered the same size as the Echo Knit Slip- ons I had- 8. 5 medium- but for running I should have ordered a half size larger. It's too late to return them because I 've already worn them outside for a run, but they are great for just wearing around. I guess I 'll need to order a 3rd pair of my new favorite shoes!!

I am recovering from a right foot Achilles tendon rupture surgery. I have been in a boot for 3 months. I at first needed a sturdy shoe to wear on my left foot to give me support and a little height to get close to matching the boot height. Today I get to wear shoes on both feet but still with heel lifts in my right shoe. It is all working. Great support. The soles are firm, which I love. I don ’ t like soft and mushy. They also look terrific. I will be able to( have to) wear them as I dress for holiday functions. I have medium wide feet and they fit just fine. My physical therapist even said I made a good choice by wearing Vionic.

Only shoe I 've ever worn, that I can honestly say I feel like I 'm walking on clouds. My typical stance has me putting pressure on all the wrong places of my feet. I 'm usually standing in one place and shifting my weight back and forth. It has caused me foot problems. With these shoes on, I 've found myself correcting my stance equally because it caused no pain. Walking was a dream. I just moved, still moving boxes around, and up and down stairs, etc. It ’s all me, no help. In addition, I do HIIT 4- 5 days a week. My lower back has been so achy and tired. Thick midsole. Con: Not a very protective shoe. This shoe is very comfortable straight out of the box. It has a really thick and soft midsole. The upper is made of a nice fabric that requires no break- in period. The shoe is classified as a walking shoe and I can see why. I can wear this pair throughout the day and it wo n't hurt my feet. It took a little bit of time to get used to because of the shape of the midsole. It provides a rocking effect so it might feel weird to anyone who has n't experienced that before. However, that goes away really fast. I think it's a perfect for anyone that needs an all black pair for jobs that require long periods of standing. The outsole seems very durable so far and it 'll probably make for a long life of the shoe. The cushioning is n't made of Nike's top of the line foams, but it feels very soft. It's comparable to other Nike cushioning systems. You also ca n't beat the price range. I appreciate that it's part of the Move to Zero program as well.
