I wanted to explore a mallet or half mallet. This putter seems to have the perfect blend of weight, feel and accuracy. I had originally purchased the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Putter for my husband and it was nice, but then after reading some reviews from golfers with similar handicaps, he wanted this Squareback 2 Putter instead. He loves it and says it's better than the Newport 2 and probably the best putter he has ever used. It has helped him improve his putting so far. Great purchase and highly recommend.

I have the select mallet Scotty and I wanted to upgrade to the Squareback 2, I like the style and the weight was just right. Do n't get me wrong, I thank the Scotty Cameron line is great, but the trad- in value is crazy cheap, not even half it's value on a two year club which I purchase from the same place( golf Galaxy) in southern Illinois.

I really wanted to like one of the flashier looking putters…. Bettinardi, Mizuno, LAB etc., but the Newport was the best feeling putter of ALL of them I tried in store. There was a cool ping too with the Italian flag I ’ m still thinking about, and the gold finish on the bettinardi was just so slick. But at the end of the day, this Newport sleighs. Super solid off the club face. This putter is replacing my 25 year old Titleist XL putter and it just feels so much more solid. Happy to upgrade.

Came across this Scotty as the only left handed one in the store. Playing with it felt smooth and I had the confidence looking down at it. Definitely felt a difference in speed from my mallet, in a good way. It felt more controlled. Definitely get more feedback from this than my mallet in terms of forgiveness. You will know when you mishit it.

I bought this about a month ago and I really like it. I feel like I have more control of the speed and the club makes great contact. I switched from a mallet to a blade because I was struggling with sinking putts. I have noticed a difference with putts from 3 to 15 feet. I really like this club and feel it was a great purchase. The only thing I did n't like was the employee who sold it to me at Golf Galaxy made a comment that now `` you need to watch this club as people would try to take it. '' So, I think about that now when I leave my golf bag because I love using this club.

I am in love with my Scotty Cameron 2023 Super Select Newport 2. 5+ putter! I switched from my Odyssey Stroke Lab Double Wide putter to the SC and the main thing I noticed about the SC was how well balanced it felt in my hands. I have played 3 rounds with the SC and the “ feel ” I have using the SC is helping me putt with better touch. The Odyssey is a good putter also. But the “ feel ” I have with the Scotty gives me more confidence to believe I can make my putts!

I never gave a thought to spend so much on a putter, and never planned to buy a Scotty Cameron. I was looking at putters at the store and decided to pick up this putter. Immediately I loved the weight of it and the feel. Every putt I had was either in the cup or very close. I couldn ’ t stop thinking of it after I went home and went back and tried it again and had the same results with feel and accuracy. I pulled the trigger and couldn ’ t be happier. Have several Scotty Cameron putters and love them all. This super select newport2 plus is no exception. I go back and forth between the plus and a select Newport 2. The plus is obviously wider sole and heavier and I like it for fast greens, the select Newport 2 is lighter and easier to swing/ accelerate and I keep it on hand for slower greens. Can ’ t go wrong with Scotty Cameron

I bought this putter right before a series of competitive rounds of golf, one being a qualifier for an event and another a two day tournament. In the qualifier I made several clutch putts, including 3 big putts in a 6 hole playoff. In the 2- day event I didn ’ t miss a single putt inside 7 feet for 36 straight holes on very slopey and fast Bermuda greens. It ’s as pure as it gets and easiest to align I ’ ve ever owned!

As for the putter itself I had a blade style putter prior to this one. The mallet style has made a significant difference in feel and putting. I honestly prefer the mallet style. Having said that I do not see much of a difference in feel or results between this ai one and an older white hot mallet style. Expecting this to be the case I truly spent the money because in my opinion the ai one style had a nice blue color and looked a little better. As for purchase of this club I was a tad bit disappointed due to a certain grip I chose when custom ordering which I found out 2 days later that it was not available. I chose another style and updated my order the second grip I chose was not the one I received and I ended up just getting the stock one it comes with which honestly made it pointless to wait a little longer just to get a putter I could have picked up same day if I wanted the stock grip. I will most likely be regripping the putter because of this. Although annoyed at the grip aspect of the purchase the putter itself was worth the purchase in my opinion. As a result in the future I will just order a stock club and purchase and regrip the grips myself

Purchased the Mizuno OMOI M Craft VI putter, 34 inches, in the Double Nickel or White Satin finish with the standard stock grip. I purchased this putter through Golf Galaxy's on line ordering service. I did n't get officially fitted. However, the staff at Golf Galaxy was very helpful with the decision. They answered any and all questions, stupid questions too. I visited my local Golf Galaxy retail store several times prior to this purchase. Simply trying various putters, from different distances. The Mizuno M craft suited my eye, forgiveness with off center hits, sound feedback, distance control and overall feel the best and I tried a bunch of putters. The Taylor Made Spider Tour V# 3 was a close second choice. I ca n't review playability just yet, due to winter weather. Once we get a little warmer here in the northeast, I 'll be able to get this putter dialed in. Each Mizuno putter comes with a weight kit to customize the putter to your liking. Just an added note; I also swing Mizuno irons and have been for about 9 years now. So the Mizuno brand is not foreign to me.
