With a bounce of 14. 5°, and a loft of 64° as well as having wide scribe lines on the face of the wedge it provides greatest assistance in getting out of the trap. I migrated from Vokey wedges to the black T- 1 wedges back in April. I have enjoyed the experience and the wedges, in my opinion, are the best looking wedges on the market. I purchased Mizuno irons at the same time and had the same shafts put in everything( Mitsubishi MMT). Size- wise, I find the head smaller than that of a Vokey wedge and they are probably less forgiving. However, I think there is better feel to shots, which I suppose is due to forging or just being forced to hit the middle of the club face more because of the size of the wedge itself. I do n't find full wedge shots to fly as far as a Vokey wedge, which is an observation and not a complaint. It is rare occurrence in which I am taking a full swing with a wedge. Spin is certainly on par with Vokey, and I find myself controlling shots better than I did previously. Final note, the black finish( or the blue) is not permanent and there has been wearing of the finish on the sole of the club after time.

Unwrapped wedges at the range, hit six balls each, 56/60degree with graphite shaft, regular flex. Each club face showed perfect center face ball strike. Great finish with my wilson irons i put in the bag last month. Highly recommend.

I just bought this wedge( 56 degree, 12 bounce, black) as my sand wedge. Took me about 5- 10 min to figure out and then I started sticking shots to 5 ft from 45 yards( off grass, still figuring out the sand). Needless to say, I am very happy. Might have to get the 60 degree as well. Also, the grip at the store feels slick due to a powdery coating, but as soon as you wipe it down the grip is really good. Now confident I can bring my handicap down as my short game has improved immediately. Absolute butter wedge, would recommend.

My only complaint with some of the game improvement clubs I 've been using for wedge play recently is they almost feel too bulky and this has a good blend of forgiveness but looks more like a traditional blade iron.

Well, the Eye2 certainly does glide through the sand well even without opening the face, but it's equally good from just about every lie. So good, in fact, that I 've barely used my 58 at all. I 'm a 10 handicapper whose major weakness is around the greens. This club just gives me so much confidence from 50 yards in. The sound and feel on well struck full shots are perfect, as is the spin. Do n't let the goofy looks put you off. Give it a try.

The Ping S159 wedge is excellent. Of course, golf clubs are measured in the eye of the beholder and one man's treasured wedge is another man's garage club.
