5
CLTgolfer81
I migrated from Vokey wedges to the black T- 1 wedges back in April. I have enjoyed the experience and the wedges, in my opinion, are the best looking wedges on the market. I purchased Mizuno irons at the same time and had the same shafts put in everything( Mitsubishi MMT). Size- wise, I find the head smaller than that of a Vokey wedge and they are probably less forgiving. However, I think there is better feel to shots, which I suppose is due to forging or just being forced to hit the middle of the club face more because of the size of the wedge itself. I do n't find full wedge shots to fly as far as a Vokey wedge, which is an observation and not a complaint. It is rare occurrence in which I am taking a full swing with a wedge. Spin is certainly on par with Vokey, and I find myself controlling shots better than I did previously. Final note, the black finish( or the blue) is not permanent and there has been wearing of the finish on the sole of the club after time.
5
PAJP
Totally happy with my 56 and 52 degree Mizuno Wedges. Very few wedges are forged- these are and they feel so soft compared to all other wedges I have played. Nice clean look at address, copper/blue/satin color choices, and classic head design. Also came with a KBS shaft which always plays softer and more flexible to me compared to the standard Dynamic Gold shafts. Great Product!!

Forr those golfers looking for assistance to get out of sand traps, the Ping BunkR wedge may just be the answer. With a bounce of 14. 5°, and a loft of 64° as well as having wide scribe lines on the face of the wedge it provides greatest assistance in getting out of the trap. The wedge is a slightly heavier swing weight which is also very helpful.

First of all the looks alone sold me, with all my clubs looks come first, them I test them, if it does n't fit my eye, I wo n't bother with them, no matter how good the tech is. Jaws were definitely cool looking when they were released and many t. years after, key word many year with same look, so happy Callaway designed such a differnt clean look, actually my favorite wedge of all time are the PM grind, 19, if you can chip or get out of any bunker with a PM grind, well it pretty impossible not to get out of any situation with that wedge, but the new Opus I 've never seen a better looking wedge in many many years, great job Callaway. I needed to redo the lofts in my bag anyway so decided to pull the trigger and get the CB12s. So happy I did. The are so much more forgiving than the Opus. Yes, it is still possible to hit a bad shot, but I feel like it happens so rarely now due to the grind and forgiveness of the face. I would highly recommend these if you aren ’ t the best wedge player.

I replaced all three SM9 wedges with SM11. I love that they feel slightly heavier and have a great feel when ball comes off the face.

Best wedge I ’ ve ever owned. Really. Ton of spin and bites hard on the greens. Have a 60/11 wedge.

Backspin
Helped gain spin around the green to slow ball down. Much easier to control similar balls compared to old club this replaced. Makes the higher spin balls worth the cost again.

The milled face is beyond amazing. I like to play my pitch shots with lots of spin to check my shots on the green and the control I get from the rough milled faced is more than I expected. Getting another set for when my current set is worn.

I recently purchased the Titleist women ’s Vokey wedge from Dick ‘s sporting goods using a Christmas gift card and I couldn ’ t be happier with my choice. This wedge has an amazing feel off the club facing gives me so much more confidence around the green. It ’s well- balanced for giving and looks great in the bag too. Highly recommend this wedge to any golfer, looking to elevate their short game.

It finally happened to me, I left my old wedge behind. What a blessing to pick up a a new wedge. The SM1- 0feels noticeably lightweight and natural to swing, so I do n't feel like I have to muscle through tricky sand shots or delicate chips. The ball pops up effortlessly and actually stops right where I want it to near the pin. It gives me so much more confidence hitting chips/approach shots. This club is worth every single penny, highly recommended!

Bought this recently for a yardage that I was having some problems dialing in. I like the feel and consistency of both flight and yardage. Also very good for chipping and flop shots. Have not used it on the course much yet but will definitely feel comfortable when I do.

If you ’ ve never thought of giving Cobra wedges a try then this should be your clue to try them. These wedges are outstanding with consistent spin and distance. Plus they have a great feel from the MIM process. The black finish so far is holding up well from sand and fairway shots. Even in wet conditions there is not a lot of spin lost to hold greens.

I went to Golf Galaxy about a month ago to get fitted for a wedge and I am so happy this is the club we went with. I also hit the Cleveland and TaylorMade options but the Cobra had the best dispersion for my swing. Between this wedge and getting fitted for the correct golf ball, I am finally able to stop a ball on the green and occasionally back- spin it which is a great confidence- booster around 100 yards and in.

Have had Cleveland wedges for years now; needed a new 56 and tried out this Cobra in store at the simulator and hit it more consistently, straighter with more spin!

I bought these about a month ago to replace a mismatch set of wedges. I wanted to try something forged and a little different. While anything would have been better than what I was using, I could not have imagined it could be this good! The feel is incredible! The trajectory is very consistent and my confidence around the green has much improved, which translates to strokes off the game. I would definitely recommend at least trying the Maxflis out. My guess is you will be surprised by the way they perform.

This may be my favorite club in my bag. I have played with Ping clubs for 30 years, and this iron looks great in my bag. Perfectly balanced and it will give you great consistency around the greens. It helped me save 5 pars today on a 9- hole course. You can also hit full shots with this club as well. I hit it 135 yards to a highly elevated green 12 ’ from the hole. Ping should have named this club the i- wedge as it is so much more than a chipper.

Got a full wedge fitting with a Titleist rep and bought the 50 degree that I was fit to. The customizing options are great. So many to choose from. Only been able to hit this on the range so far but it is amazing. It's a solid wedge that has the feel that you can trust it to do what it was designed to do. Having a 12 degree bounce adds a little forgiveness for less chunky shots. I got a lighter shaft so I can get handsy with it when I need to. Even on toe shots I 'm still getting 10k spin and consistent carry distance. Ca n't wait to get this on the course!

When searching for the best wedge for spin, consider features such as the groove design, which plays a crucial role in generating friction between the clubface and the ball. A higher loft can also enhance spin rates, especially on shorter shots around the green. Additionally, the material of the clubface can affect spin, with softer materials often providing better control and feel.
The loft of a wedge significantly influences its spin performance. Higher lofted wedges typically produce more spin due to the increased angle of attack, allowing for better contact with the ball. This is particularly beneficial for shots around the green, where precision and control are essential for stopping the ball quickly.
Wedges designed for spin are particularly advantageous for short game shots, such as chips, pitches, and delicate flop shots. These clubs allow players to execute shots that require a high degree of control and precision, helping the ball to stop quickly on the green. Additionally, they are useful for approach shots from the rough or tight lies where spin can help manage distance.
Yes, certain materials can enhance spin in wedges. Softer metals, like carbon steel, are often preferred for their ability to create more friction with the ball, leading to increased spin. Additionally, some wedges feature advanced coatings or finishes that can further improve grip on the ball, contributing to better spin rates.
Different grind options on wedges can significantly affect spin and overall performance. Grinds dictate how the sole of the wedge interacts with the turf, influencing how easily the club can enter the ground during a swing. A wedge with a specific grind can help players achieve better contact, which in turn can enhance spin and control on various lies.
