I put the 12'x12' sail up on mounts that were about 16'x16'. I used heavy duty bungie straps, instead of the mounting hardware that came with the sail, to see how it would look. Turns out the bungie straps worked real well and pulled the sail real tight. I think I may leave it that way. I am really very happy with this product.

I ’ ve been looking for a portable shade option since forever, but I didn ’ t want an entire tent production and umbrellas weren ’ t cutting it anymore. I wanted something that moved with me, or the direction of the sun, quickly- no bulk, one- person setup. I knew there had to be something better than the just tents or umbrellas. In walks the Shibumi Park Vista... and it was love at first sight. I ’ m 5 ” tall and even I can set this up, by myself, in about 2 minutes. The design is so clever! You can tell that Shibumi thought through the details and practical application. It ’s very lightweight and has a small footprint when you ’ re packing. I can toss it in the back of the car, carry it to our destination, and have shade almost anywhere, without looking like a clumsy fool trying to set something up that isn ’ t worth the work. This is easy peasy and the shade payoff is huge! I would love to see the option to purchase a base for attaching to stadium seating. That would be an absolute God send for track meets.

Bought this Neso Grande Beach shade to spend time with my grandson and family at Atlantic beach. We travel by plane to visit and the tent was easy to put in a suitcase( lightweight and small). The tent was easy to set up. The first day was really windy and we did have to add extra sand to the bags so that the tent sides would stay up. The next day was not as windy and tent stayed up wonderfully. I am considering getting the extra two poles, however they are not necessary for the tent to work well. The fabric is strong and the sand fell off easily for packing. We had five people under the tent so I would not reccommend any smaller of a tent for this many individuals. I love the color that I purchased.

I bought the grande online from Dicks sporting goods, picked up at the South Portland store, same day. Set up was simple, stretched it out in an X pattern, flipped the cord under the sand bags and filled with sand. Poked the poles under the front corners, adjusted the bags a little bit by stretching out, then dug a small pit and buried them. I 've been doing this for three days in the coastal winds and it's been getting more efficient each time. Zero issues, stays put for hours with shifting winds when set up properly. Take down is just as simple. Storage bag is compact. 5+ stars, I 'd buy it again without a doubt and have not received anything for this review.

I bought this to replace an old pop- up which had bowed, bent and broke at the middle brace points. I bought this one specifically for the reinforced braces in the middle and it did n't bow in once even during a rain storm in the mountain of Southern CO. The vented top was perfect for the wind, which was n't super strong, but was moving the top quite a bit! Really liked the idea of closing and opening these vents. Even had one side closed& the other open during the rain so it would n't come in us while we were cooking! Also bought this because of parts replacements, even thought I have n't needed it, very nice to know that it's available! The issue we had when putting it up, was a screw in the inside leg at the bottom was n't put in straight and it was catching the outer leg from extending. In step 3 of the instructions, Figure D was impossible to do! Had to have 2 people work at this to get it to click!

As a frequent beach goer, I have tried many types of umbrellas/tent for sun protection such as Cool Cabana, Tommy Bahama and Shibumi. By far, Sun Ninja is the best product to date. Between the consistent sun coverage, UV protection and height of the poles, it is a no brainer purchase. The setup and takedown of the Ninja is extremely simple, as well as the compact storage provided. Even on windy days, we have not had issues with this umbrella staying put- as long as you fill the sandbags plus some. A forth person, no way.- easy setup and breakdown- looks good too- 6 tie off points( instead of just 4) which is crucial for this kind of tarp shade system.- comes with stakes and large and long plastic screws- really great company customer service( I had a major issue with my shadecaster right out of the box but they fixed it super fast and zero hassle) Cons:- slightly smaller in size to other comparable tarp shades. Wish they had one more size up from this one.- only comes with 4 sacks to fill with sand( 6 tie off points, 4 sand sacks???). Yes, I know you can use the stackes or screws BUT I would way much prefer to use the sand bags.- major issue: my 2 prop poles did not come with round end caps on them. Made it challenging to use at beach which is the first time I opened it. I enedes having to use some clothes to cap the ends so that the bare metal would n't tare into the tarp top. Best beach shade
We were vacationing in a spot where you are only allowed to have a shade structure with a monopole in the middle and this was perfect. It was so much cheaper than the other monopole that ’s more well known. It was easy to put up and in fact, I like it more than our neso grande shade tent which cost four times as much when we purchased at five years ago. Just wish this could work in the yard or at soccer games. It ’s a breeze to set up and take down. I can ’ t say enough good things about it. We purchased two and put them side- by- side so that we could have larger shade for our very large group.

This canopy is the best one I 've owned. It is a very sturdy with heavy gauge hardware including double sown seams on the canvas. I used it twice at windy football games and never hinted of sailing off. The E- Z Up 10'x10' is defiantly a two person setup and take down. Surprisingly, it is easy to remove/insert from the wheeled carrying envelope. It's 57lbs heavy.

I have had many canopy's in the past and everyone of them has lasted a year or two until breaking. This costs a little more but is very much worth the price. The cover is thick grade canvas that will not tear. The legs are strong and long enough so I do n't hit my head every time I walk under the tent( I 'm 6' 2 ''). the bag and wheels may be the best feature of all. The wheels are wide enough so the bag with the tent wo n't tip over while pulling it and it is made of the same strong canvas as the top of the canopy.

I bought a canopy last week and went to set it up. A gust of wind came before I was able to put the stakes in. I caught it and when it hit the ground two legs got damaged. I called to see what I could do about getting replacement legs. Kurt asked me my name, address and told me they would send out two replacement legs. This was a Thursday and I received the legs on Monday. I left the canopy up because it was damaged were it is lowered. So far GREAT product and superb customer service.
