They do the job of holding the guards in place nicely and I prefer this style over the style that has the piece that goes under your feet. That part can make stuffing your foot into a soccer boot quite cramped so I prefer these much much more.

Finally something that keeps your shin pad in place+ adds protection on side of the leg, where shin pad does n't cover. Really comfortable and brilliant product. Note: it comes in pairs, so both legs are covered, but you need to have your own slip- in shin pads.

My son really likes these. He is a soccer goalie and wanted extra protection. The only thing I wish it that there was a sizing chart online because it is hard to guess what size is needed. The only sizing chart that would come up was one for goalie gloves. Other then that my son says they are very comfortable, slide a little bit, but I think because I bought too large of a size.

These shorts were purchased for my goalkeeper daughter. The had lots of padding on the sides which was great, but she thought they were too short and left too much of her leg exposed. We took them back and purchased men's baseball sliding shorts which she liked better. If you do n't mind the length, it is a good product.
