I purchased this for my 7 year old son his back plate fits perfectly. The back plate doesn ’ t sit too low and cover his butt like you see sometimes. Just be mindful the two screws on each side don ’ t exactly line up so you may only be able to utilize 3 screws. It ’s still secure however.

Our son has worn this product for baseball since he was 6 years old. We are on our third shirt because he keeps growing out of them. After looking at all the other brands we felt this was the best product because of the protective dome. Other shirts felt like they just put layers of padding in the shirt. This shirt has a sewn in insert that can withstand impact. If a line drive hits this dome the chest will not take the impact the dome will. I would recommend this product to anyone and we have recommended this product. Very pleased.

This is the best of all the heart- guards. We still use the first one we bought, and after dozens and dozens of washings, it looks brand new.
