I 'm pretty happy with this stove. It fits nicely inside my kettle, works well for larger pans( even up to 8 inches), and get's nice and hot. I paired it with stabilizer legs as with the large canisters it can get quite tall. The one downside is having to bring a separate igniter.

I purchased this item, with the french press attachment, to take on primitive camp outings with the boy scouts. This worked perfect for what I purchased it for, which was the ability to have hot coffee in the mornings. Also took it on day backpacking trips to have a hot lunch. This item would be good for any beginner looking for a stove/pot lightweight combo.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

Trip Leader
I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. So far it is everything I could want in a camp stove, looking forward to using it on upcoming trips.

In my opinion this is the best Coleman Stove. The clicking igniter is more durable than the push button type and it does n't move the whole stove when trying to lite- up. The wind deflectors are simple and perform as advertised, the grate is durable and provides adequate support. I expect to have 50 year life with this stove in which it will outlast me. I have been using Coleman camping products since 1963 and this retro stove is the one to buy.

I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. Much lighter than my old setup and is much faster, meaning less fuel. [ The Zip 0. 8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations( tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack. Jetboil gave me this free product to try.

[ Jet boil gave me this product to try. I could n't be happier with it. I 've used it winter camping in the Beartooths in Montana and I was amazed how well it worked and how efficient it was. Highly recommended!

[ Jetboil gave me this free product to try. As a bikepacker who values lightweight, compact gear, the Jetboil Zip 0. 8 has become my go- to stove for all my adventures. After using it on several long- distance bikepacking trips, I can confidently say that this stove is a game- changer. First off, the lightweight design is perfect for bikepacking. It's small and packs down easily, fitting into my gear without taking up much space. It is super light, it wo n't weigh you down, which is essential when you 're trying to keep your gear minimal and efficient on the trail. The boil time is impressive for such a compact system. I can bring water to a boil in about 2 minutes, which is fast enough for a quick morning coffee or preparing a meal after a long day of riding. It saves me time and energy, so I can get back on the trail sooner. I also love how fuel- efficient the Zip is, especially since bikepacking often means you need to carry enough fuel for several days. The stove's FluxRing technology ensures an even boil while using less fuel, so I can stretch my fuel canister further- saving both weight and space in my panniers. One feature I particularly appreciate for bikepacking is the neoprene cover which helps to insulate the pot while also keeping you from burning your hands. It's built to handle the bumps and jostles of being packed alongside other gear in my bike bags. The stove fits nicely into the pot, with room for a fuel canister, matches and utensils. I also like that the plastic cup used to protect the Fluxring has volume measurements on it in case you need to measure out a small amount of water. The Jetboil Zip might not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, but it's incredibly effective for what I need on the trail. It's affordable, reliable, and just the right size for my bikepacking setup. If you 're planning a bikepacking trip and want a stove that's efficient, easy to use, and does n't weigh you down, I highly recommend the Jetboil Zip Cooking System. It's simple, durable, and perfect for fueling your outdoor adventures.

[ I have used the older versions of the jetboil, and they have streamlined a few things. For instance the regulator knob is indicated with a+ and- diagram. This may seem trivial but I frequently try and turn up the flame and turn off the gas. Not that big of a deal but I instantly noticed this and now always know which way to adjust the volume. [ This is an excellent grill for camping. It is small enough to be portable but large enough for cooking a lot of food at once. It heats up fast and the heat is easy to control. There are two separate burners. The inside grate is in two pieces and we got the pan accessory so we can be grilling on one side and heating stuff in a pan on the other side. The drip pan is great. You just put water in it and any grease drips right in the water making it so easy to clean up. The regulator is easy to attach and simple so it would be really hard to strip it accidentally. Overall, the best grill we have had and we 've been camping for a long time.

About as compact as it gets with a regulated backpacking stove. I usually prefer the systems like Flash and MicroMo, but I always keep an extra MightyMo in my kit. This stove is pretty easy to use and has a straight forward design. It ’s functioned well in both hot and cold weather for me multiple times. I don ’ t know if it is any more effective than a pocket rocket for most people. But if you are boiling larger pots of water for a whole group the extra support of the legs really help keep things stable. All in all I would recommend this stove it might not be the lightest but works like a charm!

Recently did a trip with some buddies in the White Mountains. We summited North and South Twin, Zealand, and Hale. It was late December so temperatures were around 20F. After letting the stove heat up for about a minute, I flipped the canister upside down to put it in four season mode. I do n't remember how long it took to boil my water but our elevation was about 4600' and it did n't feel very long. The stove was even so compact that I fit it into my 1L pot, along with a small rag and my zippo. I 've only used it in the field a handful of times but the thing seems bombproof. I even spilled a bunch of water on it and after lighting it again, it only took a few seconds to clear the water and work normally again. Definitely recommend!

[ Bought this for a boundary waters trip and for backpacking with multiple people. Wanted something bigger than my pocket rocket. The low stance and hose really help with stability. Only feature I miss is an ignition.

Simple, Compact, Effective. Three words that describe this stove. I have used this stove for several years on a daily basis. I replaced my 2- burner CampChef Weekender with the 3- burner Pro 90X and purchased this bag because I want to protect the new stove from the get- go. At first, I though that the bag was too small, but after getting the stove into the bag, it seems to fit very well. You do need to develop the knack of getting the stove in the bag, but after a couple times it goes very smoothly. There is a nice sleeve inside the top of the bag to hold the wind screen, which helps to keep it from causing or receiving damage. I have a two burner Camp Chef griddle( and bag) that fits this stove well. There is room for the grease drip tray in the top( handle section) of the bag. I wrap it in an old dish towel to keep if from receiving or causing damage. This seems to be a nice quality bag and fits the stove well.

I have an overland sprinter van so this is nice when I want to cook with fire outside instead of the induction cooktop in the van. Everything store quick and easy in its own carrying case.
