Stainless steel makes it fast and easy to cook with. I love the fact that it's all collapsible! Everything fits in the pot! So easy to take for camping. It is n't very heavy either! I 've never seen the lock feature handles that it has. It's so cool and easy to keep your food or containers secured. Another quality that these pots have is the compatability it has with a gas cooker. Sometimes, a small burner is all you have outdoors when hiking. [ I ’ ve always used a titanium or stainless steel set up for expeditions, but this kit ’s utility was apparent right away for sea kayaking expeditions. It ’s impressive packability is so much easier to cram into small hatches and any small voids. I really appreciate this factor the most. I wondered how it would hold up to my typical backpacking/kayaking stoves. A full, high burn on my usual stove( I use the MSR Pocket Rocket) caused no issues- it was a very quick boil for a full pot, actually, and the blue flame beneath the pot didn ’ t come anywhere close to the suggested max flame extent. I was kind of surprised that the instruction text on the bottom of the pot was not even affected. When you add in the two plates, two cups, and two bowls included in this kit- and it still packs as small(!)- the total weight is very backpack friendly especially if you are traveling with a partner or group. If I am solo, I would just take a small portion of the kit, and it is very comparable to my titanium gear ’s weight( but far more packable.) I honestly wasn ’ t sure when I first saw this kit that I would swap it out for my metal gear, but testing it out has sold me on it earning a place in my kayak programs. One ask: if they added or sold a snap lid for the bowl, I would love to make it my snack/lunch carrier in my day hatch as a swap for the Tupperware I usually use.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

I added this set to our camper for our weekends in the woods where we cook over a fire. I must say, first and foremost, that this set is great. It fits inside the pot, and the lid locks down using the handle of the pot. It held up really well over the fire. It did n't take long for it to come to a boil. The cup is sturdy and made of thick material that wo n't burn your hands. It also has a lid, so spilling is n't a problem. The bowl is sturdy and deep, perfect for eating stew or anything hot. It cleaned up easily after use and packed up tightly for our next campfire cookout.

This is a great camping set. This is not a custom chef kitchen set. If you are looking for that this is not your purchase. If you are looking for a quality enameled steel camping set this is a great buy for the price. I purchased the Pioneer Camp Set in blue and additional pieces over a year and half ago. My husband and I have used the set multiple times with no issues. We use ours on a 2 burner propane stove top and have not experienced any issues with overheating of the enamel finish. The metal tongs and spatula are large and sturdy, and the material of the cooler bag is very nice, feels like it will last. Love the addition of the small spice shakers, oven glove, can/wine bottle opener, and wooden chopping board. This really has it all.

[ This bag is awesome for tailgating or camping. The cooler section is quite large, can easily get at least an 18 pack in there along with ice and some meats. The tools that come with it are nice as well, although I would have appreciated a little sheath for the knife. At least it's at the bottom and facing down. I put some sea salt and black pepper in the little shakers, and in the two side compartments I put a pack of disinfectant hand wipes and a roll of doggy waste bags and rubber bands( to put over the dirty tools for the ride back home). All in all a great product to go with our travel propane grill!

[ I LOVE these dishes. They ’ re made of plastic which is super durable and doesn ’ t break when dropped. They ’ re even textured to make handling them a breeze! I love how you can use the plates as a lid for the big bowl. Only thing I wish is that there was a smaller size plate for the small bowls, but it ’s not totally necessary. The bowls also have measurements which is convenient.

The accessories were very high quality and I was happy to replace my old tools. They weigh heavy and are high quality. The lifetime warranty is a fantastic touch. The apron itself is heavy set but the best part is how easily it folds into a small, transportable size.

[ I am digging this BBQ set. There are nice slots for each of the grilling tools in the apron. The quality of the tools met my expectations, stainless, but not overly hefty. I got this for myself, but would make for a nice birthday or fathers day gift. Only negative is the inclusion of the hat, which I will never use.

[ I got this a few weeks ago and I really like it. It ’s a very fun set for the bbq person in your life. It folds up great with all the utensils inside into a nice compact tote as seen in the pictures I posted. Great for on the go bbq like at the beach or camping. Comes with tongs, spatula, fork, oven mitt, and a chef ’s hat. Not to mention of course the apron. It is sadly on the pricey side. I would definitely recommend this if the price dropped a bit.

This is a decent mess kit. It is plastic so it ’s light and feels durable. The two sides come together nicely with a good seal. The spoon/fork combo is ok.
