[ My family has recently decided to get more into tent camping, and keeping things light is important. Since many of the meals would be made from freeze dried packages, there was little need to carry a heavy two- burner propane stove and fuel tanks. The JetBoil Stash model looked like just the thing to boil up a few cups of water to make a pouch of food. Not wanting to wait until we actually needed it, I gave it a few test runs under different conditions right at home. It is quick and easy to set up, and I ran into only one easy- to- remedy snag- getting the stabilizer leg assembly to snap onto my fuel canister. Where I live, there's not much selection in fuel, and mail ordering it comes at a high price. That meant getting Coleman brand was my only option within an hour's drive. The problem is that the stabilizer is just too hard to get onto the canister bottom without feeling like you 're going to break it. I have n't owned one of these before, so I do n't know how much variability there is between fuel brands. The good news is that a minute's application of a file fixed it!( See pictures). Once I got it all assembled, I was able to get 2 cups/500 ml of water boiling in about 2- 1/2 minutes or so on average. On really cold days or ones where it was very breezy, it was a little longer, but still really fast. One could easily boil water for and prepare several pouches of food within 10- 15 minutes, even if everyone had something different. I am very happy with my new stove!

[ I just LOVE this new Stash camping stove. It ’s the lightest and most compact in the market that I ’ ve been able to find and JETBOIL is a leader in this segment. It ’s easy to pack because it ’s so compact and light. I was able to boil two cups of water in about 2. 5 minutes. The pot sits on top of the stove very steady. They also sell a frying pan which is the next item I want to get. The flame comes out strong and the way the bottom of the pot is designed to keep in the flame/heat for maximum power. I was a little worried there was no wind guard for the flame, but it seemed to do well with a light wind( haven ’ t tested with a very strong wind but I would probably find some cover if needed. The stove component is made of titanium and is very light yet strong. Great design and quality.

[ I do n't know where to begin with this Coleman grill- it's been a lifesaver since we got it! Not only is it slim, so it fits in our camping bag, but it's gorgeous! The vintage green is just so pretty. It's still lightweight while being powerful enough to cook a full meal for 2 steaming hot! We especially liked the fact that it cooked evenly. This is for sure a must for any avid camper like us, or just for safety if the power goes out during a storm, it's awesome!

I bought this stove last summer for a car camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was frustrated with the lighter but then realized what altitude I was actually at and piezo lighters do n't work so remember this when you go to altitude with it. Below 7400ish youre good. The power these burners have is amazing, great for fast cooks or for a big group. It works great with cast iron and I liked the flexibility. It boils water incredibly fast with the 20k btu burners, faster than my gas range at home. It is a little bulkier than other stoves but perfect for camping or a quick picknic, I 've even used it at the sledding hills for making cocoa. I opted to get an adapter and a 5lb tank and after multiple uses I 'm still well over 3/4 of a tank.

I have not used my Everest 2X camping yet but did test it out as soon as I received it. I filled a two qt. sauce pan with 1 1/2 quarts of cold tap water( at sea level) and fired it up. On full high the water boiled in 3 minutes 50 seconds, much faster than kitchen range. Amazing high heat and it sounds like a jet engine. It also simmers at very low heat( wind was moderate) without any trouble. My only issue, which seems to have self- resolved, was one of the burner's igniter did not spark. After turning the igniter knob 5- 10 times in succession it began to spark intermittently and then it worked consistently. I 've only used the stove once for this test before taking it into the field so I 'll have to see if it continues to ignite properly. I purchased the 2' extension hose and 1lb. canister stand for convenience and canister placement options. Bothe that hose and the included hard pipe connector worked perfectly and I did not experience any leakage( as some reported with the hard pipe) on either connector. Ca n't wait to cook some meals while camping. The Everest 2X seems to be a very well made unit and is capable of crazy high temps and cooking speed if necessary. Highly recommended.

Bought this 2 years ago. I have been acquainted with Coleman stoves most of my life, but thoroughly blown out by this stove. Does Coleman make a great stove? You bet ’ cha. But this stove means I can cook anything I can get the ingredients near the stove. Best country flapjacks ever. Fabulous beef bean and cheese Dutch oven dish. I can use my old Lodge cast iron, or my newish gsi dualist, even that can make great pancakes if I can stop making them an inch and a half thick!

[ Family is into camping now and trying to cook a big breakfast on two small WhisperLite stoves just is n't cutting it. Tested it out this weekend and wow! Super easy to light. Electric start, but twist to light, no reliance on batteries. Sounds like a jet engine when dialed all the way up, boiled water in just a few minutes. Can cook a feast with this thing! Solid construction, not very heavy, but it is large. Its' perfect as a car camping stove, tailgating, or even as an emergency backup stove if you lose power( for those of us with electric stoves). Very happy with it.

this unit is nice and compact and has everything except the propane itself, it heats up fast and has nice wind guards to protect the flame and keep things at temperature! its such and easy setup too the only thing that could be annoying was if you did n't have a big enough table the propane is kind of awkward but other than that this unit is everything I was looking for in a camp stove!

Very efficient, impressively efficient, cooked several meals barely used a half tank of propane didn ’ t have a chance to boil water but I imagine it will boil water a lot faster than a home stove gas/electric. [ Coleman Even- Temp 3- Burner Propane Camp Stove firstly let me start off and say wow! I absolutely love this stove and that I 'm able to use it any and everywhere other than just for camping! It is also great to have incase the weather gets bad and have no electricity you can still use this stove to cook and heat with. The stove's large top let us use a large pot and the three burners allowed us to also have a coffee pot on at the same time, the burners radiate heat evenly across the stove top. It boiled water faster than we are used to. The round burners tend to burn hot which is good for boiling water, just closely watch anything else you are cooking as it can burn, I learned the hard way but I am in love with this stove! I absolutely love the instastart push- button ignition for matchless lighting another huge plus is the wind block panels, help shield burners from wind or you could also fold down the panels for use as side tables!! This is highly recommended!!!

Goat Ninja
[ I received the Cascade 328 propane stove in the hickory moss color and it is way more than I thought it would be! I love the 3 burners version better than having two, the heat distributes much more evenly having the three burners. I also love the way the propane stove stores. It folds up really nice and has a big, strong handle to carry it.

[ This is my new favorite cooking appliance! I find myself using this stove not only when camping or tailgating, but I also often use it to cook foods outdoors that may result in a lot of food odors in my house had I cooked them indoors such as fish. First of all, Coleman's propane cylinders are so affordable- a bargain actually- and they are conveniently stocked at the big box store down the road from me. The stove itself is rugged, and for a portable stove, its cooking performance is downright impressive. It heats evenly and powerfully. Starting it is a breeze with the instastart feature( which has worked flawlessly every time), and with the wind block panels, a windy day( which is often where I live) gives me no problem at all. Lastly it is highly portable. Once it cools down, I flip the wind block panels down and close the lid and fit it neatly in storage. When closed, it is roughly the size of a standard briefcase, so do n't worry about needing extra room to store it.

Gave this five stars because I like it so much. Great combination of how rugged something can be, and still be lite enough to want to take with you. Also good corrosion resistance. Be carefull of the gas connector which is on the bottom if you carry it by the handle. If you set it down in dirt or sand it can clog the gas orifices. Cap it with a piece of plastic bag and rubber band during transport.

I received a recommendation for a Camp Chef Mountaineer from my brother. I could n't be happier with this piece of camp equipment. It makes cooking a breeze! It's super portable and has a really sturdy construction. We took it out for it's inaugural trip in the woods and it performed so well. When boiling water, you can really tell how much heat it puts out. Easy to control. Simple and sleek aluminum construction. I highly recommend!

Long time Camper, restaurant veteran. Using stove for first time on current trip. Seems very sturdy and well made. Excellent temp control from low to big heat output. Each burners independently controlled and put out full heat range. Easy to clean. It is pretty large, will accommodate larger pans or griddle. Waited a long time for stove to be in stock, disappointed that legs remain out of stock.

[ I bought this camp stove for camping off grid in our teardrop trailer. It is solidly construction and the high btu output means you can make a pot of coffee or cook your burgers in no time flat, even at high altitude. [ This thing is very impressive upon first glance. It ’s built very well and feels sturdy. The lid moves well on its sturdy hinges and I like the wind guards. The burners are able to set very low but will still create some heat, keep stirring up that food while on the burners. I think this is one of the most modern stoves I have seen in a while. Looks like a laptop when closed and with legs folded in. The legs are a nice touch with locking in positions so the legs won ’ t collapse while cooking. The location of the propane insert cable is a good one and allows more options for propane tank storage. I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to cooking on this thing for a long time.

5
Britt M
[ The Zip 0. 8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations( tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack. Jetboil gave me this free product to try.

[ Jetboil gave me this free product to try. As a bikepacker who values lightweight, compact gear, the Jetboil Zip 0. 8 has become my go- to stove for all my adventures. After using it on several long- distance bikepacking trips, I can confidently say that this stove is a game- changer. First off, the lightweight design is perfect for bikepacking. It's small and packs down easily, fitting into my gear without taking up much space. It is super light, it wo n't weigh you down, which is essential when you 're trying to keep your gear minimal and efficient on the trail. The boil time is impressive for such a compact system. I can bring water to a boil in about 2 minutes, which is fast enough for a quick morning coffee or preparing a meal after a long day of riding. It saves me time and energy, so I can get back on the trail sooner. I also love how fuel- efficient the Zip is, especially since bikepacking often means you need to carry enough fuel for several days. The stove's FluxRing technology ensures an even boil while using less fuel, so I can stretch my fuel canister further- saving both weight and space in my panniers. One feature I particularly appreciate for bikepacking is the neoprene cover which helps to insulate the pot while also keeping you from burning your hands. It's built to handle the bumps and jostles of being packed alongside other gear in my bike bags. The stove fits nicely into the pot, with room for a fuel canister, matches and utensils. I also like that the plastic cup used to protect the Fluxring has volume measurements on it in case you need to measure out a small amount of water. The Jetboil Zip might not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, but it's incredibly effective for what I need on the trail. It's affordable, reliable, and just the right size for my bikepacking setup. If you 're planning a bikepacking trip and want a stove that's efficient, easy to use, and does n't weigh you down, I highly recommend the Jetboil Zip Cooking System. It's simple, durable, and perfect for fueling your outdoor adventures.

[ I have used the older versions of the jetboil, and they have streamlined a few things. For instance the regulator knob is indicated with a+ and- diagram. This may seem trivial but I frequently try and turn up the flame and turn off the gas. Not that big of a deal but I instantly noticed this and now always know which way to adjust the volume. Great product!!

Jason E
I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. Much lighter than my old setup and is much faster, meaning less fuel. I do n't mind that it does n't have an igniter, I tend to just throw a mini Bic in the cup and leave it there, not to mention I always have another lighter with me for emergencies.

If you ’ re looking for a camping stove that will last you through the years, this is the one!

This product is great for our RV camper. We are happy Coleman is making small grills that are portable. It would be nice to have a latch as another reviewer mentions, but we are not going to give a horrible rating just for that. The performance of the product is fine, which is what matters most.

I have read the other reviews and I ca n't believe they would rate this grill 4 stars instead of 5 because of a lid latch or carry bag. [ I 've taken this out for a few trips now and the MightyMo has become my primary stove since. It's simple to use, works well in windy situations and does n't require a cook system which is great for customisation. But the absolute best thing is the stoves ability to regulate heat. Hotdogs and New York strips marinated in- Worcestershire sauce, Montreal steak seasoning, lemon juice and fresh diced garlic cloves! then Frozen. Then thawed and brought to room temperature where they sat until it was time to grill. On a side note, the more and more that I use and get familiar with this little Coleman travel Grill, I have to admit I am falling in love with it. I stripped the* Cast Iron grates*, cleaned them and re seasoned them to my liking. I also purchased a hose adapter to run a 20 lb bulk tank but have not used it yet. The idea that I can switch between 1 lb cylinders or bulk tanks is definitely a win for me depending on what I am doing. The heat control from right to left side of the grill is phenomenal. This propane grill is going to be awesome for camping during burn bans and traveling. I also did a little research and there are aftermarket grille inserts that I can purchase to accommodate breakfast with either a full griddle or a half griddle as well as a `` stovetop burner Style insert '' for resting your Coleman percolator coffee pot on. Then, to sweeten the deal even more this grill actually folds down and Tucks right away in the back of my minivan either standing up vertically or laying down flat. I plan on building a removable shelf to go over the grill in the storage position so I can still utilize the space in the back without having awkward angles to rest stuff on. Coming from a guy that has used various charcoal grills and split burning smokers, I love the convenience of this little propane grill and and it has received a huge thumbs up on my YouTube channel. I do plan on buying the grill inserts at a future date.

This is the third Roadtrip grill I ’ ve owned over the last several years. Took this for its first spin up Wheeler Peak! Cooked breakfast at the trailhead and the Jetboil quickly had the water roiling and ready to pour! Made it up to Williams lake split and used this to make a quick cup of coffee before heading to summit. Again the water was ready to go in a minute or two. On my way down I made lunch. The Jetboil Flash performed perfectly all 3 times I used it in the 37 degree, 12k foot mountain environment. The Flash got tossed in my pack and I couldn ’ t even tell that it was there. This thing is awesome. I bought this before a windy, cold weather backpacking trip and it performed beautifully. I used to both to boil water and to cook meals( ramen, rice, etc), it worked great for both. It is a little too deep for a typical backpacking utensil to stir the contents all the way to the bottom but that's about the only tiny gripe have. I look forward to buying the smaller windburner container for solo trips and maybe a cook pot as well.
5
Kyle
Really nice stove. It is better than the jet boil it replaced and has a company that cares about its consumers backing it. It is nice to have a line of accessories, but the only thing I would change is a nub inside the burner ring to attach the cup securely like the solo windburner. I 'd also like an attachment that could be made for use with regular pots and pans. But those are minor details. All in all, you ca n't go wrong with this stove or MSR as for as I 'm concerned.

Been using jetboil since the beginning for boiling water for meals a drinks. Started getting tired of eating out of a bag and wanted to step up my meals for one to three day base camp trips. Decided on half gen with satellite burner so I could cook meals and keep my dedicated water boiler. Excellent quality, function and design.
5
Sushi
So after forgetting the car camping stove again we decided to get a stove that would fit in the downsized camping cooking box that one can actually carry by themselves. The half gen was a perfect fit and we could fit our plates in the bag that comes with it. The only thing I wish it had was a lid for the pan which I would pay for. The wind screen was a little awkward getting on at first but it works at least in 20- 30 MPH gusts. Construction is solid, the lighter works and due to the shape there is no cooking splatters to deal with on the stove itself. The gas control is good too. Yes it was not cheap but a great size and it works well.

The cast iron pot is solid, which is great for even heat distribution and durability. ... I highly recommend this system for anyone who enjoys cooking
5
snugarbear_892
[ This actually comes double boxed which I really like because it protects the product. It is very heavy because of the pot being cast iron. The pot is a 5 gallon cast iron with feet and it's pre- seasoned which is awesome. It also has an aluminum lid to cover the pot. The frame of the pot you bought together so it's provides extra sturdiness for the cooker. It's heated by using a propane tank. This is awesome for tailgating or for camping because even though it's called the jambalaya pot you can virtually cook tons of stuff in this like chili or soups or do a fish fry. The only thing it says you can not use it for is to fry a whole turkey which is understandable because it's only 5 gallon. If you love camping or tailgating or just like to have a pot instead of a grill this is awesome to have. For my large family we do a lot of Chili's and gumbos and soups so this is going to really be great on our next camping trip in a couple of weeks

[ I received this King Kooker Jambalaya Pot Package in exchange for my honest review. I couldn ’ t be happier with this cast iron cooker. I could tell it was a serious cooking system even before I opened the box; it was so heavy. Assembly was easy. The instructions were clear, and everything came together quickly. The cast iron pot is solid, which is great for even heat distribution and durability. The pot ’s stand is stable, even in my grassy yard. Connecting a gas tank was effortless. Once assembled, the whole unit was sturdy and well- built. It will definitely last through many outdoor cookouts and will serve many people. I highly recommend this system for anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors. It ’s a great value and of excellent quality!

When selecting a travel stove, consider features such as portability, weight, and fuel type. A compact design is essential for easy transport, while the fuel type should match your cooking needs and availability. Additionally, look for stoves with adjustable heat settings for better control over cooking temperatures.
Travel stoves can typically use various fuel types, including propane, butane, and liquid fuel. Each fuel type has its own advantages, such as ease of use, availability, and cooking efficiency. It's important to choose a stove that is compatible with the fuel you plan to use during your travels.
The right size for a travel stove depends on the number of people you will be cooking for and the types of meals you plan to prepare. Smaller stoves are ideal for solo travelers or small groups, while larger models can accommodate more extensive cooking needs. Consider your cooking style and the space available in your travel gear.
Yes, some travel stoves are designed to perform better in specific weather conditions, such as wind or cold temperatures. Look for stoves with features like windshields or those that can maintain consistent heat output in various environments. This ensures reliable cooking regardless of the weather.
Multi-burner travel stoves offer the advantage of cooking multiple dishes simultaneously, making them ideal for group camping or larger meals. They provide greater flexibility in meal preparation and can save time when cooking for several people. Additionally, having multiple burners allows for more complex cooking techniques.
