Overall incredible product. Lightweight, super convenient for a small family who loves to go out and hike or camp. Doesnt take up much room and having two pots, a pan, two lids, 8 cups( 4 with lids), and 4 plates and a sink that all fit into one small package is great

5 NewCamper
GSI is an incredible company. They replaced for free without any shipping charges or questions two different lids from another cooking set I had borrowed so I was very comfortable buying this set for myself. I was not disappointed. If you need a compact, durable, and versatile cooking set this is the one to buy. It contains everything I need to cook, eat, and drink well on a trip plus it is easily cleaned and stored.

[ While this is definitely too big for my backpacking gear: it is truly a great kitchen set. It will stay in my kit for gunks trips!!!! I especially like the nesting cups and bowls.

I would say yes! The variety of fuels types is spectacular! 90% of the time i use iso butane or propane, but the ability to convert is awesome. Quick cook times, good flame control. I also have a whisper light stove for colder weather and higher altitudes.

5 allweather
[ The MSR isobutane cartridge is 20% propane so it works down to- 10F or better. Can tip the cartridge upside down to feed liquid so the propane does n't all burn off, leaving just isobutane that wo n't work below 11F. Has the liquid pump and hose so it will burn white gas or kerosene at any temp. The burner does n't sit on top of a tippy fuel cartridge and is nice and wide to accomodate larger pots, but narrow enough for the small pots too. Fuel cartridges are easy to find and kerosene and white gas are pretty much everywhere. The cartridges have a weight chart so you can determine the fuel level on a scale or just place them in water and read it. We had troubles before with a standard n- butane burner in winter, they do n't work below 31F. The only alternative is bulky and heavy propane gear. Included an aluminum windscreen and a nice aluminum pad to place the burner on to reflect heat. You can get tiny cartridges for a quick pack- in up to large ones for car camping. I had the international version many years ago and it worked great, but the cartridges are more convenient. Also, some national forests/parks etc. will not let you use liquid fuel due to instant shutoff requirements especially in fire seasons.

5 Bill D.
I love this stove and the versatility of being able to use liquid fuel or canned. If you could add simmer control similar the Dragonfly stove I would give it 6 out of 5 stars.

5 Linzy V.
I 'm crazy about my WhisperLite Universal Stove!! I love the ease of use, the ability to clean and fix my stove and how well it works every time.

5 Fake News
[ Although this is my first camping stove, I have had the opportunity to use MSR products before. I like it because it can do both canister and white gas. Good for both camping and as a means to cook when the power goes out.

[ An awesome solo stove that can do it all. If you ’ re looking to boil water for coffee or reheat last nights meal for breakfast this is a must for solo camping all while saving weight.

5 Jeremy M
I purchased this item, with the french press attachment, to take on primitive camp outings with the boy scouts. This worked perfect for what I purchased it for, which was the ability to have hot coffee in the mornings. Also took it on day backpacking trips to have a hot lunch. This item would be good for any beginner looking for a stove/pot lightweight combo.

5 Zzyzzybaluba
I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

5 John T
Water starts boiling very quickly. Used to boiled water to make my coffee and heat my dehydrated food. Every efficient and light weight. Very sturdy build.

[ Loved the compact size for getting this to camp, and was way easier to clean than our old camp cook set. We still bring our insulated mugs for coffee, but the cups our great for our morning chia or flavoured cold drinks. Will be using those when we travel too!

5 howald R.
[ Perfect for cooking for two, very compact for motorcycle travel.

5 giovannim38
[ This product is a game changer specially if you 're going camping. The ease of it makes it easier to store and organize. They feel sturdy and well manufactured. I love this product and will definitely buy more in the future.

5 Erik G.
[ I ’ ve always used a titanium or stainless steel set up for expeditions, but this kit ’s utility was apparent right away for sea kayaking expeditions. It ’s impressive packability is so much easier to cram into small hatches and any small voids. I really appreciate this factor the most. I wondered how it would hold up to my typical backpacking/kayaking stoves. A full, high burn on my usual stove( I use the MSR Pocket Rocket) caused no issues- it was a very quick boil for a full pot, actually, and the blue flame beneath the pot didn ’ t come anywhere close to the suggested max flame extent. I was kind of surprised that the instruction text on the bottom of the pot was not even affected. When you add in the two plates, two cups, and two bowls included in this kit- and it still packs as small(!)- the total weight is very backpack friendly especially if you are traveling with a partner or group. If I am solo, I would just take a small portion of the kit, and it is very comparable to my titanium gear ’s weight( but far more packable.) I honestly wasn ’ t sure when I first saw this kit that I would swap it out for my metal gear, but testing it out has sold me on it earning a place in my kayak programs. One ask: if they added or sold a snap lid for the bowl, I would love to make it my snack/lunch carrier in my day hatch as a swap for the Tupperware I usually use.

5 abis
[ These are amazing! The time it takes to boil water is half the time on this pot, and the cups hold the heat well. I didn ’ t have to worry about burning my hands either! Easy to clean, and easy to store and take on the go!

5 San Ramon
[ I bought this camp stove for camping off grid in our teardrop trailer. It is solidly construction and the high btu output means you can make a pot of coffee or cook your burgers in no time flat, even at high altitude. The stove is very solidly constructed and I like the fact that I can run it off LP and not those little gas bottles which offer little run time and create a lot of litter.

Long time Camper, restaurant veteran. Using stove for first time on current trip. Seems very sturdy and well made. Excellent temp control from low to big heat output. I 'm pretty happy with this stove. It fits nicely inside my kettle, works well for larger pans( even up to 8 inches), and get's nice and hot. I paired it with stabilizer legs as with the large canisters it can get quite tall. The one downside is having to bring a separate igniter.

I purchased this product 3 months ago and used it twice so far. It is a very compact and a light system which is what I was looking for. The quality of the pieces are well made, the cups are a good individual size than expected. I 've been very impressed with the product. The handle has a little play, which concerned me initially but it does n't seem to effect function.

5 Alexa V.
We have used out set numerous times now nd it never ceases to amaze me how light and compact it is, and how beyond packing a knife and some spoons we need nothing else on camping trips.

5 Robert J.
[ My wife was impressed with the Stainless Steel for our use in car( Pick- Up) camping space is more of a requirement than weight. If she is impressed that is also good for me.

5 Mark Y.
[ I have wanted reliable cookware for a long time. Even though I have moved beyond this ‘ stage ’ in times of necessity, I still value quality products. I know how to dig a hole and put coals in this hole to make a ‘ pot ’. However, it is nice in more comfortable situations to have ‘ civilized ’ products like yours when possible to enjoy when possible.

5 thamara79db
[ These are the products are the ones I get excited about. If you do any outdoor cooking, hiking, or camping, then you know how much needed these are. We are a Scouts family, and so we 're always looking for the best and most affordable products and equipment to make the outdoors easier and better. The products are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel makes it fast and easy to cook with. I love the fact that it's all collapsible! Everything fits in the pot! So easy to take for camping. It is n't very heavy either! I 've never seen the lock feature handles that it has. It's so cool and easy to keep your food or containers secured. Another quality that these pots have is the compatability it has with a gas cooker. Sometimes, a small burner is all you have outdoors when hiking. It's also easy to clean like any other stainless steel product. Overall, I highly recommend this product and wish every scout or outdoorsman had one. Thank you, Influenster and Sea, to Summit for sending me this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review.

Excellent new pot set! Did a 2 day overnight backpack trip on the Appalachian Trail with my niece and nephew. Great weight for all that is in there, and I love that everything fits inside the pot. That feature is super convenient and space saving when backpacking. I would definitely recommend you try this set!

5 Greg L.
Upon receiving the 6 piece Sea to Summit Frontier Cook Set – everything about it suggests top quality. The packaging is robust and signifies that high quality gear is within. I took set on a 3 day/2 night kayak camping trip I was leading for a group of 11 people. I shared the kit with the group to get their impressions as well. At less than 2 lbs( 1lb 13oz) this set offers a very high value for the weight being carried. Admittedly, this was a kayak camping trip, so weight is not that big of a factor, volume is more important. The set fit easily within my kayak. The new Click- Safe handle design is brilliant although some people seemed to struggle with it at first. It is actually really simple to use and really makes the pot feel like a one- piece pot – super sturdy. The 2L and 3L sizes give you plenty of flexibility to prepare just about anything in the wilderness. While the strainer lids are becoming standard on outdoor cookware, they are integral to the frontier lids and worked really well for draining pasta. The addition of the Sea to Summit Frontier Ultralight Pan would make this a comprehensive cook set. The pots cooked food nicely and seemed to have good heat distribution. I used the 3L to mix a cake mix that I was baking in a dutch oven and used a metal wisk to mix it. There were no marks at all on the inside of the pot – suggesting a very robust no- stick coating that will not scratch easily. The inclusion of two nice bowls and covered cups is really nice. We used both the bowls and the cups on this trip. Although very light, they are sturdy and were easy to hold with hot food in them. The spill proof lids on the cups are a nice feature and the cups did well for both morning coffee and evening wine. One comment/observation a number of people had( including the author) was that it would be nice if the set came in a bag( mesh or otherwise) to protect the outside of the 3L pot. The other comment I received from a few people is it was a little hard to see the graduation numbers inside the pot( maybe make them bigger for the next generation?). All in all, this is a fantastic set that will delight the outdoor chef. It is well thought out and the new Click- Safe handle design is a winner – really makes it feel like a solid one piece pot. A thought on a bag – maybe Sea to Summit could list the recommended Ultra- Sil or Big River dry bag size as part of the product description? Thanks again Sea to Summit for manufacturing well thought out, high quality gear!

[ Great to eat while sitting at the fire while camping. Surprised at how good this was. Like most other meals, give it a few extra minutes to rehydrate.

5 Lauren
[ Everytime I bring this I make my friends jealous. The added siraracha, peanut butter, peanuts and lime mean I get to customize it to my mood. The lime helps it feel very fresh. [ I bought this set for my wife for Christmas, but due to her past experience as a backcountry cook I thought it would best to give it to her before Christmas so that she could start using the knives right away. To my surprise, she really liked the quality of the set and the canvas carrying case. She really like the sharpness of the knife edges, and the weight and balance of the knives.

5 Vicki
[ Bought this as a present for boyfriend( ahem... also for me) for our summer camping forays. We tend to set up a full kitchen because we enjoy cooking outdoors. Turns out the bears enjoy when we cook outdoors, too. The set is really well- made, with nice heavy heaviness to them, sharp blades. The meat fork thing could be a bit longer in my opinon, but the tongs are nice and will keep your hands out of the fire. The leather case is nice and thick-- you do n't have to worry about getting poked with any of the pointy things in there. They also are really nice- looking, which is a plus!

I wonder if the handle will get really hot while cooking? I 'm hoping the next gen design, in regards to the handle and lid, will allow for a more snug fit while in travel mode. Great piece of gear! I can fit my stove, pump, repair kit, heat shield, matches and coffee mug( mug has coffee/whitener& sponge in it) in my pot set. Along with being compact, this stove is easy to light, quiet and well built.

5 Bob
Well, I ’ m on year 29 with mine Yikes! Once I ask a cab driver in Mexico on a volcano climbing trip to stop at a gas station so we could get fuel That was 1995 I just used it for three days this week on the lakeshore trail into stehekin WA That ’s 2024 Still works great!

5 Timothy T.
I have used my the WhisperLite International for something like 20 years! From bicycle 🚴 camping 🏕 trips to Florida hurricanes 🌀 I used it for about three weeks straight when hurricane Charlie took out the power. About the only thing I have done to the stove is clean it maybe 🤔 every year or so and I think 🤔 the only problem I have had was I had to replace one little O- ring! That reminds me I have to replace the O- ring that I removed from the little service kit. I recommend that service kit I replaced that O- ring at night during a hurricane 🌀 power outage and all those O- Rings are special and your not going to find one when you roll into a campground at 02: 00 🕑 AM in the rain 🌧 on your bicycle 🚴 and all you want to do is get something to eat and go to sleep 🏕 But if the stove needs an O- ring it is going to be cold Mountain House Chicken 🐔 Teriyaki 🤢 and a cold breakfast 🍳 So you need to get the service kit at least for peace of mind!

5 Stacey S.
This stove is solid! I bought it to replace my 30 year old WhisperLite stove. No more empty fuel canisters to try and recycle and the cost of fuel is much lower. Yes my original WhisperLite stove still operates fine, just went with a more modern design. I cold weather camp and you can ’ t beat a white gas stove in the cold.

5 Excessive Moderation
[ Love this stove. I had a MSR Dragon Fly stove for years, which is great for simmering or slow cooking gourmet backcountry meals, but `` very '' loud. Whisper Lite actually boiled water faster than the Dragon Fly, and its quietness is worth loosing the simmer option. With a little finesse, you can still simmer somewhat with the Whisper Lite. Best Liquid stove out there!!

Was just what I was looking for. Light weight and has graduated measuring on the side. Easy to hook to your pack.

5 Loui200
[ I bought this for an up coming trip but have not used it yet. My initial observations are that it is light weight, relatively speaking. With the soft handle it takes up less space and is easier to pack. It is insulated and is a good size for its intended use. Every one needs a good mug in their kit and this one checks all of the boxes.

5 Scoutmaster in Maine
[ This mug has become my favorite coffee cup on my Boy Scout outings. The mug is comfortable to hold without burning your hands. The gradations on the cup make measuring liquids a simple process for those backcountry dehydrated meals or measuring out the perfect amount of water for that perfect cup of joe. 5 Mja66
I bought this for an Alaskan backcountry trip, weight was critical. Conditions and altitude varied from one extreme to the other. It worked flawlessly.

5 Bjbrad80
[ Having used mixed fuel systems previously, this is my first canister system. Works great- very efficient boil. I was able to adjust the dial enough to simmer. My only criticism would be that it does not pack down as compact as I would prefer.

5 Dalen T
Using the minimo previously, I bought a second. It ’s nice looking, lightweight enough for backpacking, and big enough to hold entire meals. It heats up very quick, sometimes a tad too quick but that would just be my user error because it ’s just that darn effective, little jet engine that thing. My only gripes comes with the bowl which protects the heat sink which has cracked down the middle, and the sleeve which I wish was a little easier to dry or wick moisture. Otherwise a great system, wish it was cheaper to recommend it more often, and useful on short and long backpacking trips out to crags.

I take this on every trip into the woods, it's easy to use, has the ignitor built in so no searching for a way to light it. Boils water rapidly and efficiently. Wrapped in neoprene to keep your hands safe. Comes with a couple extras, one to help keep it stable, and another to turn it into a camp stove. My one complaint is the lid, definitely have to make sure that thing is secure, I 've has a few incidents with not getting it on there perfectly and getting a fun surprise! Lol

5 Cody S
Great for everyday use to using camping. Took it hunting and worked amazing. Takes up little space in my pack and a great addition to my pack. Highly recommend.

5 David S
When you think of camping, backpacking, or survival, you should be thinking of water and food. I have multiple of the JetBoils in my various kit bags. Backpacking for 1, for 2, my get home bag. This unit( and all of the various units they make) accomplish so much in a self- contained package. For the features, it is relatively light( it will never win the “ ultralight ” challenge of a simple pocket rocket, etc) but it is your water boiler, it is your eating vessel, it contains and protects the heating element, you can pack your fuel in there. If you want an easy to use, well know and tried and trued package- the JetBoil line accomplishes a lot!

5 Tony M
I used this camping in the high country of Northern CA, or the snowy mountains of CO, as well as driving around scouting and glassing. I was not very easy on it. It would live in my pack or in my truck, getting tossed around and having things fall on it or just bouncing around while driving down not well maintained dirt road. It still works like the day I pulled it out of the box. Striker still works great. Lid stays on. I have not found a reason for the orange stand that comes with it. I have been using the fuel can as the stand.

5 Eric K

In my opinion this is the best Coleman Stove. The clicking igniter is more durable than the push button type and it does n't move the whole stove when trying to lite- up. The wind deflectors are simple and perform as advertised, the grate is durable and provides adequate support. I expect to have 50 year life with this stove in which it will outlast me. I took it to go camping last week, it was portable and easy to use, using to boil water was as easy as it gets, the only problem I had with it, was that it had a smaller water capacity and I wish it was bigger. It was a quick boil though as it heats very quick.

5 antoniate2b7
[ Loving this as it is perfect for camping. The kettle is very well made and sturdy. Perfect size for two people and works well when heating up water or other liquids. Water heats well and the heat is distributed well. I love how it folds up so it makes it easy to pack and store.

5 jellitzadeleon
[ This is the best idea so far. We go camping every year and finding something that ’s compact to use for boiling any water is a struggle. This bundles up so well and travels easily. The size is not too ideal as you can maybe boil 2 cups of water but, it ’s so worth it. I was worried about how it would hold up to our camping stove but it did great. A definite addition to our camping trips. Even regular trips. The size and is perfect to put in a suitcase!

I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. So far it is everything I could want in a camp stove, looking forward to using it on upcoming trips.

Tried and true, it's obvious why the whisperlite remains the top expedition stove. Although it's quite different than the canister stoves, it was very easy to learn and get used to. 5 rmac
This stove is great it heats well, is compact, and is easy to use. I do wish the grate had a clip or something so it did n't slide out of the well when it's time for storage, but that is minor. We have it in a Plano box we use as a mess kit so once it is in there it's pretty secure. The only suggestion would be to put the knobs for the gas and the sparker on the same side. It's a little too wide with them on opposite sides to neatly store away. Otherwise I think this will be a great addition to our camp gear. We had no issues with the flame flickering in the light breezes we encountered. It seems that as long as you 're not cooking in a head on wind it would do well. Cooled down quickly, and packed away neatly. Thank you Coleman for offering American made products that are well built.

5 M. P.

Heats evenly, easy folding handle storage. I would recommend.

I bought this for a road trip. It was the right size for breakfast.

[ Bought this pan for our kitchen kit, and it works great. Fits on great on our Coleman 2 burner stove, and the non- stick works well. I will say that my model looks a bit different than the one pictured, the handle collapses and folds into the pan to make it smaller, versus having screws that you have to remove.

Perfect pot for our van- life set up. good size to make a meal for four people. When used on top of a Jetboil Genesis Basecamp stove it heats up quick and the flux ring helps keep the wind out. It boils water in a fraction of the time it takes in a standard pot, with commensurate savings in fuel usage. It is sturdy and well made, and quite lightweight too.

5 Paul T
This is the perfect size to make a meal for a group of 4- 8 people. When used on top of a Jetboil Genesis Basecamp stove it heats up quick and the flux ring helps keep the wind out. Might get a second one since you can fit two of them side by side on the stove.

5 Cari
Great for camping with a family. Big enough to warm up soup or stew for 6 people. Fast, efficient, light. Going to get rid of my Prius stove and camp cookware in favor of the big jet boil pots and stove.

5 0002S
[ Works perfect with the Jetboil system. It is sturdy and cleans easily. Comes with a plastic lid. Genesis stove system fits inside and Jetboil frying pan fits on top for nice compact kitchen.

5 Phil
[ After I finally received it, I put it to work right away. Lasagna was first and then frying fish and finally frying chicken. All were accommodated perfectly and the best part is the nesting with the rest of the system. Glad I finally got it.

Awesome. I use this on every backpacking trip. It is definitely big, but if you 're cooking for multiple people having the space is well worth it. I will use the cup to mix up food and stuff in( some people are more purists and only ever allow water in their jetboil) but using it to actually mix stuff up means you do n't have to pack extra pots and pans which is a big plus. And it is big enough to stick your fuel cans and stove and utensils, etc. inside. And having the measuring markers makes it even more useful too. Great workhorse.

5 Ian C
Great product, does exactly what it says on the tin. Used for a weekend trek.

5 Anthony A
The Jetboil Sumo is an excellent choice for backpackers and campers who prioritize speed, fuel efficiency, and convenience when cooking for small groups. While it ’s bulkier than Jetboil ’s smaller models, its large capacity and reliable performance make it worth considering for those who need to cook more than just a solo meal. If your primary need is boiling water for dehydrated meals, coffee, or tea, the Sumo is a solid investment.

5 Vonda
I love using my jet oil! Wish they had parchment paper inserts so it was easier cleanup. I am going to try the ones I have from my air fryer.

5 Darryl
[ Perfect for that quick coffee, tea or soup anywhere. No fuss no difficult set ups; it ’s ready under any condition.

[ We bought a couple sets for our boat that can double as camping gear. The sets are sturdy, look great and clean up easily! Plus, they 're compact when stacked for storage. Love this set!

5 Adam B.
[ This set is bomber. They take up very little space, they are n't that heavy, and they seem very durable.

Just got back from a two night trip in the 10000 Islands area of the Everglades and this dinnerware did not disappoint. Very nice and sturdy while packing down small enough to allow plenty of room in my kitchen dry bag for all the other essentials. I look forward to the stainless steel being able to take the abuse of salt water! These will definitely be my go to dinnerware for all kayaking over nighters and car camping trips!

5 Al
I recently purchased the Detour Stainless Steel dinnerware set, and it is fantastic. I already own many pieces from the Frontier Ultralight collection and this new set is a different dimension in collapsible dinnerware. The cups may be best- they hold 16 oz of my favorite beverages, from morning juice to evening beer. They 're very sturdy but pack down small, and while not as light as the Frontier cups, they may replace them even on backpacking trips. The bowls are super cool, too. They collapse small and have a rubberized ring on the bottom side, preventing them from sliding around. The bowls are big and wide enough to serve double duty as bowls or plates, so I think the cup and bowl combo will be my new backpacking setup. The plates are great, too, and have the same ring on the bottom side, but those will likely stay in the campervan. Overall I highly recommend this set for anyone looking to raise the bar on their dinnerware.

[ I bought four of these bowls along with the collapsible pot, and they all nest perfectly inside it. We took them on a recent backpacking trip and they were exactly what I wanted.

5 Lan w.
[ I have several items from the first generation of collapsable bowls and plates. This version is a huge improvement in form and function. Snappy deployment. Rounded transition at bottom is a winner. Seems more sturdy when opened. Cleanup is easier also due to reduced silicone usage and more hard plastic. Keep innovating!

5 sumendra93
[ The Sea to Summit collapsible bowl is versatile and you can pack it on the go. Easily foldable to carry out for camping or when at home can ve used for salads or dinner. It is made of food grade silicone and is BPA free. I can use it both hot or cold items.
