I took this bag on a 10- day trip to Italy, and it exceeded all my expectations. With an average of 25- 30k steps each day, the bag remained incredibly comfortable throughout. One day, I carried two bottles of wine and a quilt around Capri with ease; on another, I transported five bottles of wine from Ischia to Sorrento without a hitch. The clam shell design was a game- changer — when I nearly got pickpocketed in Rome, the thief couldn ’ t get into the bag, thanks to how I secured the zippers. Initially, I was concerned the bag might be too big, but when it came time to pack souvenirs and wine, the extra space was a lifesaver. I bought the 30L travel backpack in February of 2024, along with some small and medium packing cubes from Peak Design. I 've been on two trips using this bag and the cubes, one for a 3 day business trip and another for a three week trip through Chili, Uruguay and Argentina. This has turned out to be a nearly perfect pack for me. On both trips I filled it with one medium cube containing pants, a small cube with shirts, and another cube with underwear. My 15 '' laptop also fit in nicely along with various toiletries and smaller items. I found it to be very comfortable on my back and easy to adjust. It has a nice, clean, unpretentious look to it. I also have a Pakt2 and an Aer Travel Pack 3. Although both are a little larger than the Peak Design, I found that the Peak Design turned out to be the most practical to pack and access among the three packs. I am very satisfied with this pack and the cubes. They make for a great packing system.

I bought this a few months ago and have now done one short trip and a month long overseas trip with it. Great investment! Its a robust flexible pack that doubles as airline carryon and a large day pack. All the access points make it easy to get at my stuff while keeping the pack secure, and the options to pack up the straps and use the many carry handles or also to slip it over the handle of a suitcase makes it really versatile. This pack took a bit of a beating a couple of times at the hands of tour guides, but it shrugged it off. I think this pack will be with me for a long time:)

This bag is incredibly sturdy and if you pack smart and pack light, you can take get weeks to months worth of travel out of this bag while not being an oversized bag( 36L). It keeps good form and structure. It's still relatively new product but so far it has been quite steady. Compression straps, ample space, shoe storage, front pocket, top pocket, laptop/tablet holder and a couple of mesh pockets inside. Side and top handles feel well built. I appreciate the load lifters. Overall, the bag is great. Granted I 've only used it once, it's shown to be spacious enough to hold well over 10- 14 days worth of clothes if you pack out right. I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.

I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

I recently purchased the Allpa 42L and absolutely loved it! Everything about it was very solid, well- made and well thought out. The only two issues that I had with it was it seemed like the waist belt was a little bulky if you did not want to wear it and it was way bigger than I thought it was going to be! I ’ m sure that ’s a good thing, but I did have to return it so that I can get a smaller one because it was so big. If you are traveling and you ’ re looking for a super great well built well designed well thought out bag this is a must have! My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. I bought this bag to use on a weekend hike on the AT with my thru hiking son. The bag served it ’s purpose. I was able to carry everything I needed easily in the main compartment and brain. The zip pockets on the outside are pretty useless once the main compartment is filled. Same with the water bladder. I did not use it. For the money though it ’s a good bag. It was comfortable on two 10 mile days from McAfee Knob trailhead to Daleville, VA. My torso measurement was 18 and I used the small setting on the adjuster. I tried the medium setting but the shoulder straps did not lay correctly on my back.

This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

I have been shopping for a backpack for a few months now, reading all the reviews. I was n't quite sure what I wanted, so I ended up ordering a few different ones. This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. The chest strap is nice too, adjustable height. The layout of pockets is pretty much spot on on this bag, I could n't ask for a better design. Even compared to more expensive brands. Super happy with this and have purchased a second. Will continue to look at high sierra in the future.

I 'm really liking this compact backpack canopy, especially after buying a different one from a different store originally. They were the same size, style and price, but the first one I bought had mesh panels around the frame, including between the top and wall, leaving a gap of coverage and they would catch in the velcro. After returning that one, I picked up this Quest canopy and was much more satisfied with the sturdiness of the frame and thicker fabric in one solid piece- no mesh! While it's true this canopy does n't stand as tall as a standard 10x10, it's comfortable for sitting under in chairs and the compact size when storing and transporting is worth the trade off for us. It's easy enough to bring and set up by myself for the kids' swim practices, while a 10x10 would be too much hassle. I have been very popular at practices when I bring this canopy. We used this at our first swim meet and set up two chairs and a blanket and it worked for us. I could lift and rotate the whole canopy as needed to adjust the orientation of the canopy wall as the day went on. Almost everyone else had a 10x10, but they also involved wagons and lots of hauling gear around. We were happy with our relatively light load and the minimal space needed for storage at home.

Just received my brand new Stout 70 from rei. A tad disappointed they didn ’ t have the green or orange, but all in all I ’ m excited to put this to use. It ’s purpose will be to get me thru a 100 mile trek I ’ ll be doing for an autoimmune charity, and I imagine by my first impressions that it will do just fine. Plenty of pockets, included rain cover, and comfy straps. Rei helped me fit it and it seems to be quite functional compared to my old external frame pack from the 90 ’s.

This is one of Gregory's basic packs, essentially a Baltoro with fewer bells and whistles. I needed a 70 liter pack for a 12 day Philmont Trek, and it survived 2 years of shakedown hikes, and 2 more years of `` regular '' weekend camping use. Works well, and great bang for the buck if you are patient and watch for sales.

I 'm really liking this compact backpack canopy, especially after buying a different one from a different store originally. They were the same size, style and price, but the first one I bought had mesh panels around the frame, including between the top and wall, leaving a gap of coverage and they would catch in the velcro. After returning that one, I picked up this Quest canopy and was much more satisfied with the sturdiness of the frame and thicker fabric in one solid piece- no mesh! While it's true this canopy does n't stand as tall as a standard 10x10, it's comfortable for sitting under in chairs and the compact size when storing and transporting is worth the trade off for us. It's easy enough to bring and set up by myself for the kids' swim practices, while a 10x10 would be too much hassle. I have been very popular at practices when I bring this canopy. We used this at our first swim meet and set up two chairs and a blanket and it worked for us. I could lift and rotate the whole canopy as needed to adjust the orientation of the canopy wall as the day went on. Almost everyone else had a 10x10, but they also involved wagons and lots of hauling gear around. We were happy with our relatively light load and the minimal space needed for storage at home.

I bought this so I can put it up and take it down myself. The 10x10 is too hard for me. This is the perfect size. I ’ m using for beach, parks& baseball games. I can stand under it I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ” but I can ’ t see out if I do, that ’s ok because I am sitting down watching the kids in shade!

This is a small shelter, about 5ft tall- 6ft in the center. Meant to be like a large umbrella- not to hold events under. Lightweight, fast pop- up and tear down. Great to sit under at kids sporting events, or to beat the heat a small tailgate. Fits inside the width of a parking space without overlapping other peoples spaces- so very versatile. Sits low to cut the sun angle. Sat under it in parking lot before professional sporting event and kept us cool on a very hot day. The backpack feature is nice, but feels cheap and like the shoulder straps will rip/ break one day in the near future. Overall we love this little tent.

[ This is my go too stuff sack in this price range. It has held up in some heavy brush and kayaking trips. It fits all my sleeping bags. It compresses well. Because the material is soft it doubles as a pillow when stuffed with clothes and I can hang it by the straps to store food out of animals reach.

[ Worked wonders for compressing my clothes in my “ personal item ” carry on. Fit everything I really needed for a 6 day lake stay( granted it ’s summer clothes and bathing suits which take up less space). Looking forward to using it this winter when doing some hut trips, too. [ This is n't my first Sea to Summit compression sack. They are durable and well- made and just do n't seem to tear or fail. You can really pack a sleeping bag into it. And even though it's not water proof, it does seem to repel water.

[ I use it for a 10 deg hammock under quilt as mine only came with a stuff sack. Works well and is lightweight making it easier to keep things in my bag organized and where I want them in my bag. I 've only used it 3 times so far but i do n't see any issues of wear and tear for many years as i do n't usually beat up a compression sack. I do n't store my quilt in it when it's not being used, I just hang it on the hanger with the quilt.
