[ I didn ’ t have an overnight camping trip scheduled to try the URSACK in the field, so I lent this to some friends who were camping in the PNW. They were impressed by how much lighter and easy to transport the URSACK was compared to their normal bear canister( and flexibility in stuffing it full and folding it when it emptied!), and reported that their foods and toiletries stayed safe and dry on their trip. It is slightly bigger than the size of a regular drawstring bag. [ This thing is awesome! Super simple and light weight. Pretty water resistant as well. I use it as my go to and have been caught in some pretty good rain storms and it kept everything dry. The back pad does n't hold too much heat and the taller more narrow shape of the pack does n't feel like you have a bunch of stuff. I 've used it for hikes, weekend trips and as day to day bag. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a very good, very simple bag. It has a small outside pocket on the top and main compartment. I have used it for a few hikes and a few 20+ mile runs with a bladder inside( it does have a loop to keep the bladder upright). Good bag for the money.

I 've used this for mountain runs and sport climbing. It took me a while to discover the hose pass- through for the hydration bladder. The pack is mostly one giant space which has plusses and minuses. I wish it had another zippered pouch on the outside for snacks. I 've kept them in the outer stretch pockets which works well enough I guess.

I bought this 2 yrs ago for a long weekend trip. I do n't like to check luggage so this was perfect for a carry on. I was able to OVER pack for a 3- 4 day trip multiple times. This is the only bag I use now. I was able to fit an extra pair of sneakers and flip flops in the side compartments and utilized the spot for my 13 '' iPad. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

We absolutely love this bag as our personal item( as long as it's not overstuffed, it fits easily under the seat) to bring our toddler's plane snacks, toys, tablet, and other travel essentials along with a smattering of items we want to keep on us instead of checking through. As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

[ My sleeping bag does not pack down tightly. The `` compression '' bag that came with it did n't do much. So I thought I 'd try the Sea to Summit dry compression bag and voila! All I have to do is stuff the my sleeping bag in the Sea to Summit bag, tighten down and now it's half the size as before. Makes it easier to break camp in the morning and fits nicely on my rear pannier rack.

[ I 've been using evac compression bags for awhile, the new UL ones are great for backpacking and using in your backpack but they can be a bit fragile this Heavy Duty version is excellent. It's super water resistant having used it on bikepacking trips in rain and mud my gear stayed bone dry inside. It's very durable meaning you can strap it right to your bike or whatever your needs may be without worry of wear and tear. The new style closure system with buckles on one side makes opening and closing super quick and efficient which is great for when you get to camp late. I 'll be picking up a few more in various sizes.

[ I have been using the dry bag for my sleeping bag for a little while now and I really like it. The compression is superior to the stuff sack my North Face One Bag came with so it takes up less room in my pack. It is also water resistant so I 'm able to keep my sleeping bag dry and therefore warm and safe. I then bought a larger bag to also keep a spare base layer in so I 'm always sleeping in the driest system possible. This spring has been vey wet so it's been extremely important I keep my gear dry. I feel confident hiking without a pack liner thanks to this dry bag. One tip I recommend is folding the opening back one fold as you store your contents as the lip of the bag has a tendency to bind on what you 're putting in the bag. Once I learned that I felt I was getting the maximum benefit from the dry bag. I also can not say enough good things about how easy it is to compress. This is one of the best pieces of gear I own.

[ Great quality product I own about 20 of them for myself and the family. When loading my moto bags these turn 7 days of soft gear into the pack size of 3 days. If your limited with space on your bike these are a game changer along with figuring out what can pack down in a regular stuff sack vs what should be compression bag My only gripe isn ’ t a big deal But the clips are a pain to flip around if they get twisted, it doesn ’ t effect the function AT ALL the bag still works as intended if the straps twisted it just bugs me and I have to use pliers to flip it around, again not a big deal just a minor thing

I got the gray one at dicks sporting goods. and i love it already. It fits my Asus gaming laptop that is 17. 8 inches. has room for 4 shirts, 2 jeans, underwear, socks, flannel in the middle pocket. [ I use it for a 10 deg hammock under quilt as mine only came with a stuff sack. Works well and is lightweight making it easier to keep things in my bag organized and where I want them in my bag. I 've only used it 3 times so far but i do n't see any issues of wear and tear for many years as i do n't usually beat up a compression sack. I do n't store my quilt in it when it's not being used, I just hang it on the hanger with the quilt.
