The pot is a 5 gallon cast iron with feet and it's pre - seasoned which is awesome. It also has an aluminum lid to cover the pot. The frame of the pot you bought together so it's provides extra sturdiness for the cooker. It's heated by using a propane tank. This is awesome for tailgating or for camping because even though it's called the jambalaya pot you can virtually cook tons of stuff in this like chili or soups or do a fish fry. The only thing it says you can not use it for is to fry a whole turkey which is understandable because it's only 5 gallon. If you love camping or tailgating or just like to have a pot instead of a grill this is awesome to have. For my large family we do a lot of Chili's and gumbos and soups so this is going to really be great on our next camping trip in a couple of weeks

This is a great skillet set for home or camp use. You can use the pans individually or combine them for dutch oven cooking. Also can be used on the stove top, or in the oven. I have made fried chicken, deep dish pizzas, cornbread, apple pie, frittatas, stir fry and breads in this set so far. I have used these almost daily, and have since purchased a few other sized lodge skillets. You have to cook with a lower heat than your traditional non - stick pan and have to use a bit more oil, but the more you use it the more it becomes seasoned and acts more like a non - stick pan. Patience is key with these. The handles do get hot, so pick up a set of handle mitts that lodge makes.

This pot is a nice addition to a non ltralight backpacking trip. It allows for cooking meals like mac and cheese( rather than just boiling water in the normal windburner pot). The heat is concentrated in the center of the pot, which is intuitive given the design, but it does n't cook as well as a pocket rocket, but uses much less fuel... just stir a little more often and it works just fine! Definitely glad to add this to my gear room.

Fits beautifully over the grille. The grill side is perfect for marking hot dog rolls/burger rolls or any item you choose. Once you got this baby smoking hot you can sear meat quickly and professionally, from steaks to roasts to fish to scallops. Especially scallops! With a good oven thermometer you can find the sweet spot needed for high temp or warming. I flip it to the griddle side and get it it up to 600f and pop a pizza into a seasoned pizza pan and it cooks like a pizza oven. I 've even stretched thin crust right onto the cast iron.

Really enjoy cooking on this portable stove, I am tempted to now buy the Luna Satellite boiler for Jetboil Cup so I can make a single pan breakfast and coffee all off of one propane tank connection. Easy to collapse into one portable package with the pan attached and then the propane tubing sits nicely inside the Zipper Pouch that is included. The pan gets warm/hot fairly quick which makes it efficient and an first choice for camping or traveling meals.

So after forgetting the car camping stove again we decided to get a stove that would fit in the downsized camping cooking box that one can actually carry by themselves. The half gen was a perfect fit and we could fit our plates in the bag that comes with it. The only thing I wish it had was a lid for the pan which I would pay for. The wind screen was a little awkward getting on at first but it works at least in 20 - 30 MPH gusts. Construction is solid, the lighter works and due to the shape there is no cooking splatters to deal with on the stove itself. The gas control is good too. Yes it was not cheap but a great size and it works well.
