[ I have thus far only used this stove with the Solo Stove alcohol burner, which is basically a Trangia knock- off. I have used it to boil water in the Solo Pot 900 into which the stove nests. The stove seems well made, although a bit high priced. The stove fits into the included stove sack and into the pot 900 well. I have yet to try the stove with wood.

Our family has several stoves ranging in size for backpacking and kayaking to car camping to portable cooking for large crowds. This single burner is great by itself or in combo with a two burner or another single burner for weekend camping. You save the room on your picnic table and the power of this stove boils water in a jiffy for coffee and cooks up breakfast for six in a jiffy using the single burner griddle( sold separately) on medium low heat. We very rarely use our table top stoves anymore- the quality at 30k BTU output more than makes up for the added bulk if you have room. Get yourself a two burner with griddle and bbq box and save this one for pans and coffee making on an open flame so you do n't have to swap out accessories. You 'll be able to cook for the entire camp! We have a dedicated 5lb tank for this and it will last a week with regular cooking. I do n't give out five stars easily- this unit earns every single one.

Pretty darn awesome. solid build, a little bulky for transport but you won ’ t find something more compact at this level of quality. There is always a trade off when you add too much portability.

Trip Leader
I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. So far it is everything I could want in a camp stove, looking forward to using it on upcoming trips.

Bought this because couldn ’ t get any stove fuel for my 45 year old Coleman and was on day- 1 before hurricane helene. Worked like a champ, easy to set up, burns clean. The bottle set up is a little weird, but overall love this stove. We worked it hard for 11 days straight.

A fine camp stove, quick lighting and powerful burners at 20, 000 BTUs each. For comparison, the largest burner on a home gas stove is usually 20, 000 BTUs. Folds up nicely and works flawlessly. A solid purchase.

This stove is pretty easy to use and has a straight forward design. It ’s functioned well in both hot and cold weather for me multiple times. I don ’ t know if it is any more effective than a pocket rocket for most people. But if you are boiling larger pots of water for a whole group the extra support of the legs really help keep things stable. All in all I would recommend this stove it might not be the lightest but works like a charm!

The water boils extremely quick even at altitude when paired with the Optimus pot. The fuel system is simple and easy to use while still providing ample variability in flame intensity.

Recently did a trip with some buddies in the White Mountains. We summited North and South Twin, Zealand, and Hale. It was late December so temperatures were around 20F. After letting the stove heat up for about a minute, I flipped the canister upside down to put it in four season mode. I do n't remember how long it took to boil my water but our elevation was about 4600' and it did n't feel very long. The stove was even so compact that I fit it into my 1L pot, along with a small rag and my zippo. I 've only used it in the field a handful of times but the thing seems bombproof. I even spilled a bunch of water on it and after lighting it again, it only took a few seconds to clear the water and work normally again. Definitely recommend!

[ Bought this for a boundary waters trip and for backpacking with multiple people. Wanted something bigger than my pocket rocket. The low stance and hose really help with stability. My 1L msr pot fits well on it. Probably could fit a 250 g canister and this burner in the pot( have not tried). Nice feature of being able to flip the canister with the built in tripod. Only feature I miss is an ignition.

I 'm pretty happy with this stove. It fits nicely inside my kettle, works well for larger pans( even up to 8 inches), and get's nice and hot. I paired it with stabilizer legs as with the large canisters it can get quite tall. The one downside is having to bring a separate igniter.

This stove is great it heats well, is compact, and is easy to use. I do wish the grate had a clip or something so it did n't slide out of the well when it's time for storage, but that is minor. We have it in a Plano box we use as a mess kit so once it is in there it's pretty secure. The only suggestion would be to put the knobs for the gas and the sparker on the same side. It's a little too wide with them on opposite sides to neatly store away. Otherwise I think this will be a great addition to our camp gear. We had no issues with the flame flickering in the light breezes we encountered. It seems that as long as you 're not cooking in a head on wind it would do well. Cooled down quickly, and packed away neatly. Thank you Coleman for offering American made products that are well built.

Used mine this morning because we had a power outage and was reflecting on how great a stove this has been. We bought ours in 2018 for an extended power outage after a hurricane. We ’ ve since used it for lots of camping trips. It still looks nearly brand new after years of use. It cooks well, is easy and simple to use, and makes the most out of a can of butane. The storage case has also held up really well. I think this is super handy to have even if you ’ re not camping. Great for when the powers out, for a picnic, or even travel. 100% recommend!!!

We bought this stove to heat our tent when elk hunting in the mountains. This past season we were in the mountains of Montana and had some nights in the 20s and a few days with highs in the 30s. This Alpine stove kept our 13ft X 20ft wall tent cozy warm. We normally are camped for a 2 week stretch and installed an in- line spark arrestor as shown in the photos, for ease of cleaning. We also protected the floor under the stove with a welding blanket. The racks on the side of the stove were very handy for quick drying of socks and gloves. Another thing I really like is that everything fits inside the stove when packing. That sure saves valuable space. I highly recommend the Camp Chef Alpine!

Bobemmerich
Bought this a couple months ago from an online vendor due to CC being out of stock. Assembly was straight forward and all the components pack back up into the stove for storage. Large enough to put full 16 '' long split log pieces into and when I had it 1/2 full, it blew me out of the tent. I had to damper it down. I believe I made the right purchase. The chimney pipes are tapered to fit inside each other, the smallest end at the stove is 5- 1/4 '', largest end is 6- 1/4 '' Outer diameter. There's plenty of pipe to extend above the tent. The spark arrestor screen gets clogged up a little, but if you stay on top of it you 're fine. I would recommend this stove hands down!

Tried and true, it's obvious why the whisperlite remains the top expedition stove. Although it's quite different than the canister stoves, it was very easy to learn and get used to. I have used my the WhisperLite International for something like 20 years! From bicycle 🚴 camping 🏕 trips to Florida hurricanes 🌀 I used it for about three weeks straight when hurricane Charlie took out the power. About the only thing I have done to the stove is clean it maybe 🤔 every year or so and I think 🤔 the only problem I have had was I had to replace one little O- ring! That reminds me I have to replace the O- ring that I removed from the little service kit. I recommend that service kit I replaced that O- ring at night during a hurricane 🌀 power outage and all those O- Rings are special and your not going to find one when you roll into a campground at 02: 00 🕑 AM in the rain 🌧 on your bicycle 🚴 and all you want to do is get something to eat and go to sleep 🏕 But if the stove needs an O- ring it is going to be cold Mountain House Chicken 🐔 Teriyaki 🤢 and a cold breakfast 🍳 So you need to get the service kit at least for peace of mind!

This stove is solid! I bought it to replace my 30 year old WhisperLite stove. No more empty fuel canisters to try and recycle and the cost of fuel is much lower. [ Love this stove. I had a MSR Dragon Fly stove for years, which is great for simmering or slow cooking gourmet backcountry meals, but `` very '' loud. The wind block collar adds a bit to the weight but is more than worth it. Works great on windy nights. Best stove I 've ever had. Cup locks into place so it's stable and heats up very fast. Heats 1 cup of water for me with 100 g fuel so I get 10- 13 meals from one small cannister.

I purchased this item, with the french press attachment, to take on primitive camp outings with the boy scouts. This worked perfect for what I purchased it for, which was the ability to have hot coffee in the mornings. Also took it on day backpacking trips to have a hot lunch. This item would be good for any beginner looking for a stove/pot lightweight combo.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. [ The Zip 0. 8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations( tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack. Jetboil gave me this free product to try.

[ Jetboil gave me this free product to try. As a bikepacker who values lightweight, compact gear, the Jetboil Zip 0. 8 has become my go- to stove for all my adventures. After using it on several long- distance bikepacking trips, I can confidently say that this stove is a game- changer. First off, the lightweight design is perfect for bikepacking. It's small and packs down easily, fitting into my gear without taking up much space. It is super light, it wo n't weigh you down, which is essential when you 're trying to keep your gear minimal and efficient on the trail. The boil time is impressive for such a compact system. I can bring water to a boil in about 2 minutes, which is fast enough for a quick morning coffee or preparing a meal after a long day of riding. It saves me time and energy, so I can get back on the trail sooner. I also love how fuel- efficient the Zip is, especially since bikepacking often means you need to carry enough fuel for several days. The stove's FluxRing technology ensures an even boil while using less fuel, so I can stretch my fuel canister further- saving both weight and space in my panniers. One feature I particularly appreciate for bikepacking is the neoprene cover which helps to insulate the pot while also keeping you from burning your hands. It's built to handle the bumps and jostles of being packed alongside other gear in my bike bags. The stove fits nicely into the pot, with room for a fuel canister, matches and utensils. I also like that the plastic cup used to protect the Fluxring has volume measurements on it in case you need to measure out a small amount of water. The Jetboil Zip might not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, but it's incredibly effective for what I need on the trail. It's affordable, reliable, and just the right size for my bikepacking setup. If you 're planning a bikepacking trip and want a stove that's efficient, easy to use, and does n't weigh you down, I highly recommend the Jetboil Zip Cooking System. It's simple, durable, and perfect for fueling your outdoor adventures.

[ I have used the older versions of the jetboil, and they have streamlined a few things. For instance the regulator knob is indicated with a+ and- diagram. This may seem trivial but I frequently try and turn up the flame and turn off the gas. Not that big of a deal but I instantly noticed this and now always know which way to adjust the volume. Great product!!

Awesome. I use this on every backpacking trip. It is definitely big, but if you 're cooking for multiple people having the space is well worth it. I will use the cup to mix up food and stuff in( some people are more purists and only ever allow water in their jetboil) but using it to actually mix stuff up means you do n't have to pack extra pots and pans which is a big plus. And it is big enough to stick your fuel cans and stove and utensils, etc. inside. And having the measuring markers makes it even more useful too. Great workhorse.
5
Ian C
Great product, does exactly what it says on the tin. Used for a weekend trek.

The Jetboil Sumo is an excellent choice for backpackers and campers who prioritize speed, fuel efficiency, and convenience when cooking for small groups. While it ’s bulkier than Jetboil ’s smaller models, its large capacity and reliable performance make it worth considering for those who need to cook more than just a solo meal. If your primary need is boiling water for dehydrated meals, coffee, or tea, the Sumo is a solid investment.

I purchased this after reading many reviews on various review sites and decided to see what all the positive comments were about, as I was in the market for a compact cooking system to go along with my reliable Coleman cooking

This is my first isobutane stove and the Mighty Mo is a great choice. It's incredibly compact and light weight, along with incredibly easy to use. Hook it up to the fuel and you are cooking in seconds, water is boiling in just minutes. Would recommend this to anybody in the market for a new stove.

[ Have used surplus burners, Coleman grills, and numerous other items while camping to boil water and heat meals. This has been the fastest and easiest way to do it so far. Good for back packing also. Highly recommend.

Light weight and really easy to use and operate. Took it on a several day backpacking trip and worked wonders for coffee and food prep.

Very good stove, have used for 6+ years, at high altitudes 11k ” ft and worked fine, only downside is that the starter sometimes doesn ’ t work and have to use a lighter to start it. Would buy again.

Would recommend using jet boil brand fuel. have had issues with other fuel canisters. Otherwise great product

Zephrin A
It takes not effort to start, and it heats up water extremely quickly and efficiently. Also nice that it's an all in one solution, so everything that you need for it packs conveniently into the container. I 've already recommended it to multiple people. It works fast!

Finally, a quick boiling stove that you can also simmer soups and cook fish streamside. ... Great Backpacking Stove ... The water boiling very fast and the Jetboil fuel is very efficient and the button to ignite works

The Jetboil MiniMo is a compact and convenient way to heat up water for hot drinks and hot food in settings that don ’ t generally allow for comfort.

Seth K
Heats up quick and boils water with ease. Have used it several times now and still on the first tank of gas.

I bought this for an Alaskan backcountry trip, weight was critical. Conditions and altitude varied from one extreme to the other. It worked flawlessly.

[ Having used mixed fuel systems previously, this is my first canister system. Works great- very efficient boil. I was able to adjust the dial enough to simmer. My only criticism would be that it does not pack down as compact as I would prefer.

Dalen T
Using the minimo previously, I bought a second. It ’s nice looking, lightweight enough for backpacking, and big enough to hold entire meals. It heats up very quick, sometimes a tad too quick but that would just be my user error because it ’s just that darn effective, little jet engine that thing. My only gripes comes with the bowl which protects the heat sink which has cracked down the middle, and the sleeve which I wish was a little easier to dry or wick moisture. Otherwise a great system, wish it was cheaper to recommend it more often, and useful on short and long backpacking trips out to crags.

[ This Razor propane griddle is larger than expected. Have n't actually used it yet. But it seems to be very sturdy, portable, and durable. Ca n't wait to cook some hamburgers on this!

The Jetboil MicroMo is my go- to stove for solo cooking. ... I do appreciate that Jetboil replaced it for me when mine cracked and would n't stay attached- it protects the stove so I do use it for

I take this on every trip into the woods, it's easy to use, has the ignitor built in so no searching for a way to light it. Boils water rapidly and efficiently. Wrapped in neoprene to keep your hands safe. Comes with a couple extras, one to help keep it stable, and another to turn it into a camp stove. My one complaint is the lid, definitely have to make sure that thing is secure, I 've has a few incidents with not getting it on there perfectly and getting a fun surprise! Lol

Great for everyday use to using camping. Took it hunting and worked amazing. Takes up little space in my pack and a great addition to my pack. Highly recommend.

When you think of camping, backpacking, or survival, you should be thinking of water and food. I have multiple of the JetBoils in my various kit bags. Backpacking for 1, for 2, my get home bag. This unit( and all of the various units they make) accomplish so much in a self- contained package. For the features, it is relatively light( it will never win the “ ultralight ” challenge of a simple pocket rocket, etc) but it is your water boiler, it is your eating vessel, it contains and protects the heating element, you can pack your fuel in there. If you want an easy to use, well know and tried and trued package- the JetBoil line accomplishes a lot!

I used this camping in the high country of Northern CA, or the snowy mountains of CO, as well as driving around scouting and glassing. I was not very easy on it. It would live in my pack or in my truck, getting tossed around and having things fall on it or just bouncing around while driving down not well maintained dirt road. It still works like the day I pulled it out of the box. Striker still works great. Lid stays on. I have not found a reason for the orange stand that comes with it. I have been using the fuel can as the stand.

The Genesis system is one of my best kitchen items. I have both the basecamp( 2 burner) and the single system. Absolutely never fails, great click to light that lights even in high wind. The flame is extremely sensitive making high heat vs slow boil settings very accurate to cook with. It's small, lightweight and stackable. Highly recommend

[ Using the jetboil in our campervan, it ’s SO quiet, used to other gas stoves that are noisy, this one is quiet, efficient and easy to use! So happy to have found it!
5
Bruce H
It works amazingly, especially as a glamping- style setup, whether as a stand- alone unit or as a companion to the Genesis Basecamp setup. It has solid, consistent heating and even cooking flow. It also has easy ignition.

This is an essential piece of camp gear! Easy to pack, although somewhat heavy. Works great and lights even in the toughest of winds.

Not usually a drive- in camper but with a few friends coming to town I needed a way to cook for 4 while taking in the sights instead of just boiling water for backpacking meals. I would describe it as: a way to have 90% of a classic camping stove in 1/4 the bulk. It's not a backpacking stove, and it's not a massive 3 burner cooktop, but it perfectly fits the niche in- between. It's nice and compact for its class, the piezoelectric igniter is great, and the pan is large enough to be useful for actual cooking of basic meals. If you 're cooking breakfast+ coffee you may want to consider taking either a classic jetboil in addition, or the apollo add- on. I intend to get the apollo add- on for coffeemaking purposes before my next trip

[ I bought this camp stove for camping off grid in our teardrop trailer. It is solidly construction and the high btu output means you can make a pot of coffee or cook your burgers in no time flat, even at high altitude. The stove is very solidly constructed and I like the fact that I can run it off LP and not those little gas bottles which offer little run time and create a lot of litter.

Long time Camper, restaurant veteran. Using stove for first time on current trip. Seems very sturdy and well made. Excellent temp control from low to big heat output. Each burners independently controlled and put out full heat range. Easy to clean. It is pretty large, will accommodate larger pans or griddle. Waited a long time for stove to be in stock, disappointed that legs remain out of stock.

This thing is awesome! We took this camping as our first stove. Worked like a charm in heating water and cooking food. When we wanted to bring the stove down to a simmer, it performed excellently, cooking the best bacon in the wilderness without burning it.

We are very happy with our purchase of the Ignite Plus Camp Stove. We just got back from a 2 week trip and used it almost every day. It fits our larger pans with ease, lights easily and has fantastic burner range from low to high. It is also very easy to clean and I love the adjustable feet to level the stove on sloped tables. It is very close to the same closed size as our old Coleman stove but doesn ’ t have the size limitations for our griddle or large pans. The only negative I can say is that the latches don ’ t hold the cover tightly closed.

Great for handling cooking for 5 to 10 people. Easily controllable flame. Not too heavy. Definitely more for car camping and tailgating. Can fit large pot and medium size pan or vice versa.

Drew M
Great stove for family camping. The first one I received did have an issue with the mechanism that controls the flame, not allowing it to get very low. Eureka was great to work with and replaced the unit at no cost. I like the blue color at the campsite. I also like the adjustable feet to help make it level.
