Very good stove for camping. Two burners. Good heat output, helps with quickly cooking food for everyone at camp, due to the good space and size of the burners. I have used it on cold mornings as well and I love it. It is very easy to clean, with the removable grates. The windscreen was very useful in windy conditions. Have been using throughout 2025 and I would definitely recommend for anyone camping as a group.

this unit is nice and compact and has everything except the propane itself, it heats up fast and has nice wind guards to protect the flame and keep things at temperature! its such and easy setup too the only thing that could be annoying was if you did n't have a big enough table the propane is kind of awkward but other than that this unit is everything I was looking for in a camp stove!

Very efficient, impressively efficient, cooked several meals barely used a half tank of propane didn ’ t have a chance to boil water but I imagine it will boil water a lot faster than a home stove gas/electric. Light weight, easy to setup quickly, enough room for 2 large size pans side by side. All around great car camping stove, great burners, RUNS HOT!

[ The Coleman Cascade 222 2- burner camping stove in sage green is fantastic! First, the color is absolutely beautiful — such a unique and stylish choice that stands out. More importantly, it works so effectively! We ’ ve literally cooked full meals on it during our camping trips, and the food comes out just like it does at home. The burners are powerful and easy to adjust, making cooking a breeze. It ’s compact, sturdy, and super reliable. If you ’ re looking for a top- notch camping stove, this is the one!

[ This burner is so convenient to use and easy to travel with. It makes cooking meals while camping so much easier when you ’ re able to control the flame of the burner instead of relying on a fire! It ’s very durable and will last a long time!!

[ I love Coleman camping products!! The color is really cute and it works well for cooking outdoors. It doesn ’ t have the largest side panels, so the wind can sometimes be an issue, but otherwise this product works perfectly!

[ Super durable but not super heavy so it ’s easy to carry around! It ’s super easy to clean after use! I absolutely love how easy it is to setup. Just screw on your tank light and cook! Great heat comes out of it to keep you super warm!

I love the windshields on the sides and how they lock in place. ... Some comments have questioned the need for the high output burners but we have loved

Gave this five stars because I like it so much. Great combination of how rugged something can be, and still be lite enough to want to take with you. Also good corrosion resistance. Be carefull of the gas connector which is on the bottom if you carry it by the handle. If you set it down in dirt or sand it can clog the gas orifices. Cap it with a piece of plastic bag and rubber band during transport.

I received a recommendation for a Camp Chef Mountaineer from my brother. I could n't be happier with this piece of camp equipment. It makes cooking a breeze! It's super portable and has a really sturdy construction. We took it out for it's inaugural trip in the woods and it performed so well. When boiling water, you can really tell how much heat it puts out. Easy to control. Simple and sleek aluminum construction. I highly recommend!

Long time Camper, restaurant veteran. Using stove for first time on current trip. Seems very sturdy and well made. Excellent temp control from low to big heat output. Each burners independently controlled and put out full heat range. Easy to clean. It is pretty large, will accommodate larger pans or griddle. Waited a long time for stove to be in stock, disappointed that legs remain out of stock.

[ I bought this camp stove for camping off grid in our teardrop trailer. It is solidly construction and the high btu output means you can make a pot of coffee or cook your burgers in no time flat, even at high altitude. The stove is very solidly constructed and I like the fact that I can run it off LP and not those little gas bottles which offer little run time and create a lot of litter.

I bought this stove last summer for a car camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was frustrated with the lighter but then realized what altitude I was actually at and piezo lighters do n't work so remember this when you go to altitude with it. Below 7400ish youre good. The power these burners have is amazing, great for fast cooks or for a big group. It works great with cast iron and I liked the flexibility. It boils water incredibly fast with the 20k btu burners, faster than my gas range at home. It is a little bulkier than other stoves but perfect for camping or a quick picknic, I 've even used it at the sledding hills for making cocoa. I opted to get an adapter and a 5lb tank and after multiple uses I 'm still well over 3/4 of a tank.

I have not used my Everest 2X camping yet but did test it out as soon as I received it. I filled a two qt. sauce pan with 1 1/2 quarts of cold tap water( at sea level) and fired it up. On full high the water boiled in 3 minutes 50 seconds, much faster than kitchen range. Amazing high heat and it sounds like a jet engine. It also simmers at very low heat( wind was moderate) without any trouble. My only issue, which seems to have self- resolved, was one of the burner's igniter did not spark. After turning the igniter knob 5- 10 times in succession it began to spark intermittently and then it worked consistently. I 've only used the stove once for this test before taking it into the field so I 'll have to see if it continues to ignite properly. I purchased the 2' extension hose and 1lb. canister stand for convenience and canister placement options. Bothe that hose and the included hard pipe connector worked perfectly and I did not experience any leakage( as some reported with the hard pipe) on either connector. Ca n't wait to cook some meals while camping. The Everest 2X seems to be a very well made unit and is capable of crazy high temps and cooking speed if necessary. Highly recommended.

Bought this 2 years ago. I have been acquainted with Coleman stoves most of my life, but thoroughly blown out by this stove. Does Coleman make a great stove? You bet ’ cha. But this stove means I can cook anything I can get the ingredients near the stove. Best country flapjacks ever. Fabulous beef bean and cheese Dutch oven dish. I can use my old Lodge cast iron, or my newish gsi dualist, even that can make great pancakes if I can stop making them an inch and a half thick!

[ Loving the new stove. I ’ ve had a Colman stove for years with smaller burners. It makes cooking all the easier with more btu ’s. I can use my large cast iron skillet with a large pot at the same time!

[ Family is into camping now and trying to cook a big breakfast on two small WhisperLite stoves just is n't cutting it. Tested it out this weekend and wow! Super easy to light. Electric start, but twist to light, no reliance on batteries. Sounds like a jet engine when dialed all the way up, boiled water in just a few minutes. Can cook a feast with this thing! Solid construction, not very heavy, but it is large. Its' perfect as a car camping stove, tailgating, or even as an emergency backup stove if you lose power( for those of us with electric stoves). Very happy with it.

Buying the base camp was a huge upgrade from my older green two burner stove. The regulator is fantastic and allows you to really dial in either a very low heat to simmer with our worrying about the flame going out. The ignition system is fast and reliable.

Took this to Big Sur last week and it worked out great. Space is limited in my jeep making it great because it is compact. The flame was easy to start and gets hot really quick.

I bought this a month ago and so happy I did. We are taking it to Yellowstone soon and will be do most of our cooking on it. The temperature is super adjustable and easy to control so you aren ’ t scorching things or waiting ages for them to get done. The propane fuel it uses is cost efficient and the stove itself is super efficient. Will report back after more use. So far I love it.

Really enjoy cooking on this portable stove, I am tempted to now buy the Luna Satellite boiler for Jetboil Cup so I can make a single pan breakfast and coffee all off of one propane tank

[ I needed a quality compact propane stove for my overnight camping trips. This stove fits the bill perfectly. I already own a two burner Coleman and the Jet Boil two butner Genesis. For my overnight camping trips, I just heat up a can of beef stew and do n't need a full size stove to do that.

Really enjoy cooking on this portable stove, I am tempted to now buy the Luna Satellite boiler for Jetboil Cup so I can make a single pan breakfast and coffee all off of one propane tank connection. Easy to collapse into one portable package with the pan attached and then the propane tubing sits nicely inside the Zipper Pouch that is included. The pan gets warm/hot fairly quick which makes it efficient and an first choice for camping or traveling meals.

Been using jetboil since the beginning for boiling water for meals a drinks. Started getting tired of eating out of a bag and wanted to step up my meals for one to three day base camp trips. Decided on half gen with satellite burner so I could cook meals and keep my dedicated water boiler. Excellent quality, function and design.

So after forgetting the car camping stove again we decided to get a stove that would fit in the downsized camping cooking box that one can actually carry by themselves. The half gen was a perfect fit and we could fit our plates in the bag that comes with it. The only thing I wish it had was a lid for the pan which I would pay for. The wind screen was a little awkward getting on at first but it works at least in 20- 30 MPH gusts. Construction is solid, the lighter works and due to the shape there is no cooking splatters to deal with on the stove itself. The gas control is good too. Yes it was not cheap but a great size and it works well.
A windscreen stove is designed to provide efficient cooking in outdoor environments by minimizing the impact of wind on the flame. It typically features a built-in windscreen that surrounds the burners, helping to maintain consistent heat and reduce fuel consumption. This makes it an ideal choice for camping, backpacking, and other outdoor cooking activities.
Windscreen stoves are often made from lightweight and durable materials such as aluminum or stainless steel. These materials are chosen for their ability to withstand high temperatures and resist corrosion, ensuring longevity in outdoor conditions. Additionally, some models may incorporate heat-resistant coatings to enhance performance.
Using a windscreen stove for camping offers several advantages, including improved fuel efficiency and faster cooking times due to reduced wind interference. They are typically lightweight and portable, making them easy to carry on outdoor adventures. Furthermore, the design allows for better heat retention, which is crucial when cooking in variable weather conditions.
Windscreen stoves are versatile and can be used for various outdoor cooking tasks, including boiling water, simmering meals, and frying. However, their effectiveness may vary based on the specific model and design. It's important to consider the stove's burner configuration and heat output to ensure it meets your cooking needs.
When selecting a windscreen stove, consider factors such as the number of burners, fuel type, and overall weight. If you plan to cook for a group, a multi-burner model may be more suitable. Additionally, look for features like adjustable flame control and compatibility with various cookware to enhance your cooking experience.
