I really like this knife. the handle is comfortable and the blade came from Gerber very sharp. so far it has held its edge very well and has n't required and sharpening. The knife is heavy compared to others I have at the same size but I like that substantial feeling and it is more difficult to flip compared to knives with a thumb stud but because of that the blade never gets hung up by the stud.

I recently purchased the new SCOUT Knife as a Christmas gift for my son, who has recently enlisted in the Army. This knife exceeded all our expectations. Its robust build and sleek design make it not only a practical tool but also a memorable keepsake. My son absolutely loved it! He mentioned how it brought back fond memories of our Boy Scout camping trips. This gift turned out to be more than just a piece of equipment; it sparked hours of conversation on Christmas Day, reminiscing about our past adventures and the special times we shared together. Gerber has not only delivered an outstanding product but also helped rekindle precious memories. Highly recommended for its quality and the wonderful nostalgia it brings!

[ Sharp, light in weight, lots of aftermarket parts. Feels good in hand. Mechanism is secure. Everything about it is a solid knife.

Woodsman270
The first one I bought in 1976 it lasted 33 years before the lock broke. I sent it back to Buck and they completely refurbished it to new condition at no cost to me. The second one I received as a Christmas gift. It has a drop point Burlap handle and cpm20cv steel. It is too pretty for every day use so I bought the latest one from Dick's. It shaves hair like the other two. Fit and finish are excellent!!!

The Salute Mini is somewhat of a misnomer for this knife. It is a very well built, well balanced, mid- sized lockback. It has an excellent blade profile for piercing as well as slicing. Dual, bronze pivot washers are rare at this price point. Nothing was really skimped on with superb knife except maybe the bead blast finish as opposed to satin polish. I ca n't comment on the black version other than my personal preference for silver blades. You 'd be hard pressed to find better quality and value than the Salute `` Mini ''. It's a no B. S., awesome EDC.

I 'll start by saying, if you 're thinking of purchasing the Kiku XR LTE CF Blackout version or any of the Kikus for that matter, you 're wasting time reading reviews... JUST BUY IT! You will NOT be sorry. I was all set to buy another brand of knife, then I saw a review of the Kiku XR on YT. I made note of it and kept coming back over and over to it. Next thing I know, I was reviewing my cart on the SOG. I have to say, this brawny little folder has SOOO much going on, it's just mind blowing! A flat- grind and a hollow- grind blade with a recurve AND a harpoon point that's made out of cryo 'd XHP that rides on ball bearings. The coolest Linen Micarta scales that eventually take on their own visual personality, and you even get a bolt- action pistol sound when the blade is flicked open vs an almost electronic servo feel and sound when deploying the blade using the flipper tab. Even the XR lock is the only bar- style lock that stages the blade when actuated and sucks the blade back to secure it when at rest. This makes for the ultimate non- assisted flipper knife that's an absolute blast to play with. All I can say is `` HOLY POOPAGE ''!

Let me be frank about this. Its one of the best knives under 20 dollers you can get.
5
I got this knife about 2 months ago and it's great. Razor sharp out of the box and it's super durable. It's got this secure feeling when you hold it. The locking mechanism is great too. It's a frame lock and is really easy to open and close.
5
I originally bought this knife at the base PX for training thinking it would be a cheap disposable. This has by far been the best knife purchase I could 've made. This knife got me through field training, serves me daily in the office, and even provided crucial help during a car accident by breaking a window and cutting through a seatbelt. If you need a knife that can do it all, I swear by this one. It's a simple and reliable tool that comes everywhere with me.
5
It is really light and eventually you start to master the art of closing it. Highly recommend, but only if you are willing to practice closing it cause it might take time to get used to.

I was looking for an American Made knife for daily carry that could be opened with one hand and that was slim and light. The Buck Bantam was a perfect fit for all this criteria. The price was good which made the entire purchase a good value. I can not speak to its longevity as I have not owned it that long. Ask me if I still have it a couple of years from now! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a sharp, easily carried knife for daily use.

I recently purchased this knife on this website after wanting to try one out for quite awhile. I am not disappointed. The knife is weighty in the hand but ergonomically designed so as not to feel `` heavy ''. It feels present while clipped to your pocket, which I appreciate. After carrying this it has quickly become my favorite EDC with it's ease of deployment, wicked sharp factory edge and very solid build quality. I am not an expert or a snob by any means but after having several below$ 50 folder knives come and go, this knife feels like a substantial tool; not just a tape cutter or mail opener. If you are interested in the knife and have the means, go for it! And to our friends at Dick's, the model number does not contain a `` Z ''. This is an American made ZT 0350. I confirmed this with the manufacturer. Thank you for offering it on the website!

Everything about this tool is perfect. From the blade to handle ratio, ambidextrous construction, lightweight glass fiber polymer, slim no nonsense design, to the firm feel of the liner lock and blade stop. the tolerance is so tight that there is no blade play out of the box. I do n't typically fall in love with a knife at first sight. However with this one I immediately had to buy it. If there was one thing I 'd change about it. I 'd have to say I 'd like to see it in an auto or spring assisted version. I 'd buy an auto pledge like time yesterday. Anyway that's my Ted talk. My favorite knife to date.
5
I got this knife on my birthday last month from my dad and I have not found one reason yet to live with out it. I am an auto mechanic and I use this knife all the time. It's always in my back pocket. I 've also never had issues of rust. I have had this knife for well over a year and the only problems I 've had, is that the small nipple that helps you pull the blade out fell out.

i have had this knife for years and it has yet to break on me. durable and affordable. i have had to only sharpen it three times and i use it daily. serration is great for line cutting. perfect size and weight and it fits perfectly in my hand. no problem with screws and no problem with dullness. i like that it takes two hands to open but even then if you do it right you can open it with one hand with no swinging.

Knife is amazing. Very smooth opening, blade is very sharp and has maintained that edge throughout the first month of use. Only improvement iand these would make it the best edc ever would be to have some texture on handle it is very sleek and smooth to touch and to make it just a touch longer. I don ’ t have great big hands but it is still a slight small. When opening it feels it could jump out of my hand

When selecting a survival folding knife, consider features such as blade material, locking mechanism, and overall weight. High-quality steel blades offer durability and edge retention, while a reliable locking mechanism ensures safety during use. Additionally, a lightweight design can enhance portability, making it easier to carry during outdoor activities.
Survival folding knives are versatile tools commonly used for tasks such as cutting rope, preparing food, and building shelter. They can also be essential for first aid situations or emergency scenarios where quick access to a sharp blade is necessary. Their compact design makes them suitable for camping, hiking, and other outdoor adventures.
Choosing the right size for a survival folding knife depends on your intended use and personal preference. A blade length of around 3 to 4 inches is often ideal for general tasks, providing a balance between control and cutting power. However, consider how you plan to carry it and whether you prefer a more compact option for easy storage.
Survival folding knives are typically made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and various handle materials like G10 or aluminum. Stainless steel is known for its corrosion resistance, while carbon steel offers superior edge retention. The choice of handle material can impact grip and comfort during use.
Yes, survival folding knives come in various styles, including tactical, everyday carry, and multi-tool designs. Tactical knives often feature aggressive aesthetics and enhanced durability, while everyday carry knives prioritize convenience and portability. Multi-tools may include additional features like screwdrivers or pliers, making them versatile for different situations.
Durability in a survival folding knife is influenced by the quality of materials used and the construction method. Look for knives with robust blade materials and solid handle designs that can withstand harsh conditions. Additionally, consider the knife's intended use; a knife designed for heavy-duty tasks will typically have a more durable build than one intended for light, everyday use.
