After some use, this new Made in the USA gerber blade performs well. I used it while camping and it did great for al, the tasks I asked of it. It carved sticks, created kindling and fuzz sticks for a fire, sparked a ferro rod, cut rope, and sliced up our meat for supper. The sheath is well thought out and allows for multiple carry options. The handle fit my hand well and was very grippy in all conditions. I ordered a fine edge from an Internet site, and received a serrated in the box. Gerber's customer service was awesome, and quickly replaced it with the fine edge version that was supposed to be in the box.

As soon as I opened the box I was impressed with the fit and finish of the materials. It feels sturdy. The details are well designed, like how the sheath snaps onto the handle for a secure fit. Thanks to Gerber for letting quality speak for itself. I returned another knife to upgrade to this one.

Back in my Active Duty days, I carried a Gerber Mark2 in my ruck. So Brand Loyalty is key here, I 'm not a full on Gerber Fanboy, but their designs and innovations speak to this former Grunt, and now retired but still running Precision Rifle matches. My EDC was the Gerber LST( light and SS for corrosion concerns). My current EDC is the Gerber Swagger. I sprung for this StongArm because I found the Prodigy and LMF and Infantry knives/sheaths a bit on the heavy side. Enter 2015 and the StongArm.... What can I say that has not been said. Great for BOB knife, SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse and plain old GTFO/ Get Home bag. I 'm no longer wearing a plate carrier so a simple FLC with MOLLE will see this knife. My Maxpedition bags all have MOLLE so this GTFO/SHTF knife mounts with amazing flexibility. And for my 2017 Taco truck the BG Ultimate Pro will reside in the cubby. This StrongArm will always reside in my GTFO gear, though. I do have an axe for the truck so I 'm not concerned about chopping, but I 'm super pleased to know from the YouTube reviews, that these knives can hold their own. Thanks for a great design in the USA Made StrongArm... I 'll be dead before this knife dies.... LOL

Awesome blade, well performing knife for all condotions. But mone is not stainless mine has rust spots forming in random spots on the blade, several on the hip clip, all over the colapsable sheeth, and some on the exteriou blade hindge. Still a nice knife though...

Have had this knife for about 6 years, it has seen a lot of use and a lot of abuse. Have never had a single problem with it; blade still sharpens easily, action is smooth, and I have never once had to tighten a screw.

I have carried this knife with me almost every day and use it 3- 5 times/day for about three years. It is easy to open and securely locks in the open position. It fits my big hands well. I have this knife in three sizes. It works well as my money clip and it really holds its edge.

I am an auto mechanic and I use this knife all the time. It's always in my back pocket. I 've also never had issues of rust. I have had this knife for well over a year and the only problems I 've had, is that the small nipple that helps you pull the blade out fell out.

i have had this knife for years and it has yet to break on me. durable and affordable. i have had to only sharpen it three times and i use it daily. serration is great for line cutting. perfect size and weight and it fits perfectly in my hand. no problem with screws and no problem with dullness. i like that it takes two hands to open but even then if you do it right you can open it with one hand with no swinging.

I have loved the paraframe series since i got my first paraframe mini in a BG basic survival kit. Since I bought a paraframe II it has become my favorite of the series. All of the paraframe knives have very strong construction and sharp blades. They are all great for edc.

My wife and son bought me this knife for my birthday. We are regular hikers, campers, hunters, and outdoors people. It is razor sharp, holds and edge and is not a bear to sharpen. It is a pleasure to use and is light in the hand. the largest draw back is the handle is somewhat small( around), and the sheath is borderline awful. I will still give it 5 stars. this is about the knife and the quality you get( and is expected from Gerber) at the very low price. Huge bang for your buck

I bought this knife because this was the knife Rick Grimes tossed Randyl in the `` 18 Miles Out '' school sceen. on AMC `` The Walking dead. I saw it cut through Randyl's Wrist binding like butter. I stopped action on the DVR and researched the weapon. I also bought the myth Sharpener. This is a `` high quality '' tool with full tang and should offer years of service. I just need to add a lanyard rope because I am on the river a great deal.

I bought this knife for my dad for fathers day. He used it this year for hunting season. He sharpened it and it worked like a dream. This knife is great! The sheath was a little stiff at first but after unsheathing it a couple of times and wearing it in it is great.

I own a fixed freeman in pear wood with the gut hook, and then also the drop point with tachide. Both are great knives. One is my go to squirrel and waterfowl knife, the other one I keep on the boat for fishing. I love these knives!!!
