Bought this as a weight for a spoon. Using 8ft of leader between the two items. Convenient eyes on either end for tying it together. Seems to do the job.

Have used similar sinkers for years. Actively searched many bait& tackle stores as well as Dick ’s, Sports Authority etc. for these without success. Found some with fins, but not 3& 4 ounces. I use these for cut bait fishing from shore. They pick- up less weeds. I was really surprised that Eagle Claw is making the product and that Dick ’s is selling them. Great product for casting from shore. Completely satisfied!

It is a sinker, which means it is heavy( lead) and has swivel attachment points. I cab insert it in line and cast a small jig a long way across an inlet.

Swiveling trolling sinkers are designed to help anglers achieve optimal depth while trolling for various fish species. They provide stability and prevent line twist, allowing for a smoother fishing experience. These sinkers are particularly useful when targeting fish that are deeper in the water column.
Swiveling trolling sinkers enhance fishing efficiency by allowing bait to move naturally in the water while maintaining the desired depth. Their design minimizes line twist, which can lead to tangles and lost time while fishing. This means anglers can focus more on catching fish rather than managing their gear.
When selecting swiveling trolling sinkers, consider the weight needed for your fishing conditions, the type of water you will be fishing in, and the species you are targeting. Additionally, look for materials that offer durability and resistance to corrosion, especially if you are fishing in saltwater environments.
Yes, swiveling trolling sinkers can be effectively used in both freshwater and saltwater fishing. However, it is important to choose sinkers made from materials that can withstand the specific conditions of each environment, such as corrosion-resistant options for saltwater fishing.
The swiveling design in trolling sinkers helps to reduce line twist, which is a common issue when trolling. This feature allows the bait to move freely and naturally in the water, increasing the chances of attracting fish. Additionally, it helps maintain a straight line, improving overall fishing performance.
