I ’ ve had my 800 for 9 months now, it ’s done nothing but impress me over and over. I was using a Whites V3i and Garrett ’s AT Pro before buying the equinox. I sold off both of those machines with no regrets and now use the equinox as my primary machine and have never done better. The battery life is great, about 13 hours on a charge. It ’s lightning fast recovery and processing speed are where this thing shines. Along with really good depth. I ’ ve took this machine to spots that I hunted heavy with my old machines and found things I missed or couldn ’ t hit with them, same outcome at spots that have been hunted by others before. As of 8- 28- 19 I am up to 71 silver coins, 3 large cents, 54 Indian head pennies, and hundreds of wheat pennies with this machine. If you choose this machine you will not regret it!

I own a Minelab Equinox and bought the Vanquish 340 as a backup detector. I have owned it for a couple months now. The coil size makes it ideal for working school and park play areas. Performance is outstanding and the auto noise cancelling makes it a smooth quiet running detector. Target ID and Depth are right on.

The Minelab Vanquish 340 is an excellent entry level detector for a beginner. It is easy to operate, goes deep enough to find good older targets and has very accurate numerical target ID. It is extremely versatile and can detect at salt water beaches, open fields, low level trashy parks and playgrounds. It is very lightweight, well built and can be adjusted for use by anyone of any size from roughly 8 years old to an old guy like me that was looking for a light weight detector to swing. Great for the casual, vacation, weekend hobbyist. For the more experienced detector user, it can fill the part of a quick grab and go detector you can trust to find good targets up to 8 '' deep in any situation. Mine has already made some good finds and was easy to learn and use for my newbie grown kids. They found some nice targets first time out. I wish it had a pinpoint mode. Otherwise, I highly recommended it. Well worth the price.
