Its hard to leave an educated review without putting some miles on the boots. That being said, I have had my boots three weeks now. I 'm a union electrician and I had a big shutdown over labor day weekend. I wore the boots 19 hours without taking them off and I must say they are a very comfortable boot. At this point in time I would purchase another pair without question. We 'll see what the future has in store for long term comfort and durability.

My only complaint with these boots is that they took forever to break in. After two weeks I thought about returning them because the leather uppers were digging into my ankle so badly that I had bruises. I kept wearing them because of all of the good reviews. At about 3- 4 weeks of wear they just kind of conform to your foot. Now at 8 months they are the most comfortable shoe I own period. After a weekend of wearing tennis shoes my feet actually feel good slipping into these work boots. I can work an 8 hour shift on my feet and keep them on after work until I go to sleep and they are still comfortable. Not to mention that they are holding up great and if I cleaned them they 'd probably look new. I will be replacing these with a pair of the same boots when these finally wear out.

I 've had these boots for over a year, working 10- 12 hours a day 5- 7 days a week. I work in the elements. I have tromped through water, been on ladders for hours of the day with no arch pain, rested heavy objects on them, and put them through a good bit of everything. They still do not leak water, they are still comfortable, they have not torn at any seams and keep my feet happy. I would buy these again without hesitation and would highly recommend them to friends and coworkers. I had to replace the laces today but that is expected. They do not have to be broken in like some other boots.

I bought my first pair over 7 years ago and they saw all day every day service for at least 3- 4 years, since then they are still worn for 2- 3 miles of dog walks and all day on most weekend. The durability and comfort has been exceptional. When in mainline service I found they would take on a good polished appearance( I use Kiwi Cordovan). I 'm looking forward to my second pair. First and foremost, customer service. It is OUTSTANDING! I ordered a size 10 boot online, which is my normal size. When I received them, they were real tight on me. I figured they would loosen up after a couple of days. They did n't. Because I wore them for 3 days, I figured that customer service would n't take them back. To my surprise, no questions asked, they not only took them back, but gave me the right advise and I reordered a larger size 10. 5. Customer service then noted for my file, that if these did n't fit, I could send them back again and they would work on another solution for me. I was stunned. Granted im an electrician so these boots undergo vigerous exercise throughout the day, slugged through trenches and up ladders 8- 10 hours a day other than normal wrinkles around the ankle area where they have been worn in. [ Like everything danner makes it is great leather. I rock a 13 wide in sneakers and got a 12 wide for this boot. It fit snug at first especially around the top arch of the foot. After about two weeks of breakin they are comfortable but tight enough to provide appropriate traction. I think after a couple months of molding they will be on the top for comfortability.

I 've been buying these boots to wear for my landscaping business for as long as I can remember.( over 15 years?) They are comfortable after a day of brake in. I apply one coat of weather seal when I buy them. I wear them over 12 hours a day and they last about 6 to 8 months. I like that they are n't steel toes, and that the tread on the sole does n't disturb the soil very much, but has good traction. I like to buy two at a time so I can alternate wearing them. I have bought them for my helpers too.
