I recently bought the Sea to Summit Telos 2 tent and wanted to protect my investment, so I also purchased the footprint for it. The package is really nice for it and to be honest, I thought that I 'd have a hard time getting it back into its pouch, but it folds up nicely and packs down small. I do a lot of backpacking where I sleep on rocks or directly on granite( hello, Sierras), so it was important for me to be able to protect the bottom of the tent. This does the job nicely and is super easy to install with the Telos 2 Tent. I love the fact that I can also keep this attached to the Telos Tent's rainfly if the weather is bad, or just set it up with the fly, without the actual tent for some ground protection and extra shade for a quick rest. I gave it 4 out of 5, only because I felt like it needed to be just a tad bit larger. It fits the bottom dimensions of the tent nearly perfectly, but I wish it was just a tad larger. When I was recently camping along California's Lost Coast, and we had wind gusts of 40mph, I noticed that the actual tent would shift just a tad off of the footprint, exposing the edges to the ground below. I was in sand, so was n't a big deal, but if the ground was harsh or muddy, the tent itself could have been impacted. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

[ Compared to similar tarps, the Mountainsmith tarp is a good value. I bought it mainly as a dining fly to cover a standard 8' campsite picnic table and it did a pretty good job. I use it for a three day camp in northern Vermont. It stood up to moderate wind and rain and kept the table mostly dry from blowing rain. I may use it for Spring and Fall backpacking, when bugs are not an issue. Overall a good product, with eight reinforced tie out points and a catenary cut ridge line for taughtness.

[ I bought this about a month ago for a wilderness fishing trip with my boys. Spent 4 nights in the bush, 3 days of rain, one tornado near miss. Slept in my ENO hammock under this rain fly and never got wet. My boys slept in high tech tents and while the tents kept the rain out from above some gear did get wet from water intrusion from below. [ I lost the footprint for my TigerWall UL3 Platinum at Deadhorse Lake in Utah ’s Uintas. I had placed it on a shrub to dry and then forgot to pack it up before leaving camp. I thought this footprint would be a good match, but it turns out the buckles are different than the fly, so I won ’ t be able to use this footprint in fast fly mode, but it will still work nicely when using the tent body( which is what I always do anyway). For other users, my UL3 Platinum must be an older model that didn ’ t use the TipLok buckles, nor the buckles on this footprint which appear to be a version between the traditional clip buckles and the TipLok because it has a similar buckle to the TipLok, but without the hole for the tent pole.

[ I recently downsized from the copper spur hv ul2 to the ul1 and wanted something to add durability to the tent floor. This footprint not only provides this durability, but it also allows me to leave the tent body at home and just use the fast fly setup on trips that I know the weather is going to cooperate. I bought this a couple of years ago and have used it a dozen times or more. It honestly weighs 2 pounds. I use it solo, but there is room for two big and tall guys and gear. No floor or insect net of course, but if it is weight you are concerned about this is a good choice. I have not used it in high wind yet, but if you look at the stitching and reinforcements on the many guy lines it appears very strong and well made and designed. I wish it had a mesh pocket inside to put my glasses, head lamp and pocket book in at night: suppose I could easily make one. I use a 1 mill painters plastic tarp for a floor and put a rock on each corner to hold it down. You need trekking poles or sticks, like any A- frame tent, but I have also used available trees so I did n't even need poles. The stakes they give you are light, and while someone complained low quality, I thought they worked just fine. Over all, thumbs up. Price is right, quality of workmanship good, and it easy to spot in the woods.

We 've had this tent almost 3 years. For the past 2 years it served as a 2 person cabin at our hunting lease. We 've gone so far as to put 2 queen size air mattresses, a chest of drawers and a heater in it. Aside from maintenance it has performed flawlessly, enduring some decent storms, pea sized hail, with ease. Of my few complaints with this tent none of them would be noticed or problematic for a family of weekend warriors. Two thoughts if Core reads these, add a socket pocket near the back window and offer a rainfly with vestibule or porch feature.

Good tent footprint, but it seems like it should have the same shape as the tent base. The 9- Person Extended Dome Tent is n't rectangular, the ends taper. This leaves the corners of the footprint exposed which could allow heavy rain to collect and pool under the tent. Otherwise a great product.

[ Yes I know these things are overpriced. But you 've already left fiscal sanity when you paid that much for your tent. And this thing not only fits perfectly but literally expands the usable space. Plus keeping dirt outside makes your expensive tent last longer. So just buy it. BTW if you really scrunch things it will fit in the tent storage bag.

[ I bought this for my Tiger Wall UL2 Bikepacking tent. I consider using Tyvek or poly, but went with the real deal since it provides a footprint for under the vestibule, not just the main tent body. I was n't sure if I wanted the bikepacking tent or the regular Tiger Wall, so I asked Big Agnes directly if it would work with the regular model too and they said it did, as I was planning on getting the footprint no matter which tent model I chose.

[ I purchased this footprint for my regular Copper Spur UL 1. It fits the tent fine and it's nice to be able to put some items in the vestibule without having them get damp id the floor is wet. I have noticed that the footprint gets a bit dirty where I am getting in and out of the tent with my foot traffic. I could take more care to remove my shoes if I wanted to use that space to sit, but its not really been an issue.

It works just like it should and is n't very heavy. Im able to pack it with my tent no problem. This tarp is big, well made. It was a bit windy setting up in the mountains. I suggest staking the Footprint down untill you get the tent up. It is larger then the 11 person tent so you have to fold in the sides to stake the tent down. You can use the extra length at the front of the tent for taking your shoes off prior to entering the tent, or for a doormat placement.

I like this because it is light so easy to lay out instead of using a big tarp. Hoping the material even being light is as good of quality as the tent. My really only complaint is it is not the same footprint as the tent so in order to stake the edges by where the screen meets the cabin you have to fold over or push back the footprint so you do n't poke a hole in it. Wish they designed this to the tent.

I ’ ve been using this tarp for nearly a decade and I absolutely love it. I have the large size with the inner tent and it ’s incredibly spacious and lightweight. I ’ ve used it in just about every condition you could imagine and it ’s held up exceptionally well. I ’ ve survived big summer storms in the alpine, used it in light snow, stayed dry in absolute downpours, and just about anything else you can think of. The 10x10 size feels like a palace when you ’ re solo and it disappears in your pack. Barely shows any sign of wear. Can ’ t recommend this tarp enough.

[ This poncho packs to half the size and the weight is about 10% less than any of the inexpensive ponchos that I have used in the past. I 'm more of a weekend warrior, so I tend to hit the trail when weather forecasts are fair, but I always want to bring some kind of rain protection. I like ponchos because they cover my pack, which also allows more airflow and ventilation. I do n't know that I will ever use the tarp function, but I like that this poncho has eyelets for use as a temporary shelter.
