I ’ m going from a TS3 to a GT2 and it ’s remarkable how forgiving this club is. In virtual golf I ’ m getting about 15 yards more hitting it 275- 280. It ’s cold where I am now and courses are closed but I went there anyway to tee 10 balls off the first tee. 8/10 in the fairway and the other 2 were right in the fringe. I ’ ve always had Callaways. Last one I ’ ve had for 15 years. Every couple of years I would try the newest model in the simulator and would see a gain of about 5- 10 yards but not nearly as consistent as I was with my old one so I couldn ’ t justify spending the money. This year I decided it was time. My old one has cracks and started to sound different. Of course my first choice was the Callaways but the fitter convinced me to try the TaylorMade and man, am I glad he did! For whatever reason the TaylorMade just seemed to fit my eye. Plus the distances were comparable to the Callaways but I was much more consistent. Only had it for 2 weeks so I ’ m still getting used to it but my consistency and distances continue to improve each time out.

For the last 5 years I have been using a Cleveland Launcher( MFG date 2003?) and I hit it extremely well. My golf buddy recently bought a Cobra F9 and asked me to try it and to my astonishment I drove the ball farther with his club than I do with my own club SO I started looking for a newer driver. This Srixon looked like it was the closest match to the Cleveland Launcher. I was a little concerned when it arrived because the shaft is stiffer than the Fukishira stiff shaft on my Launcher but, those concerns disappeared the very first drive I used this Srixon on- my golf league started on the back 9 and I nearly drove the 10th hole!! I tried a lot of the 2022 drivers in varying lofts and specs, and have always been a PING loyalist, but needed something more exciting and powerful. The LTDx was on my list, but spun a bit high for me. “ Concerned with what might happen, ” the fitter handed me the LS model with the Smoke IM10 5. 5 and we quickly agreed that, even though my swing speed was only around 90mph, this setup was performing very well for me. Carry distance was 30+ yards more than I was getting from the G425 Max. Having now played a round with it and had it on the range a few times, I ’ m floored by how the LTDx LS is performing for me. Never before have I been rewarded for trying to pound the absolute snot out of a golf ball. Get fit, but it seems like the LS can work well even for those of us with slower swings who are needing to bring the spin down by several hundred RPM ’s. Great driver.

Had the QI10 Max and really struggled off the tee. Just moved to the AI Smoke Triple Diamond and am hitting nothing but bombs. Spin around 2200, carrying 290+ with a nice baby fade. Sound off the face is so much sweeter than Carbon- face. This club is HOT off the face. Added 10+ yards more distance, better ball speed and more consistency. The weight adjustment is big time.

I found a Triple Diamond still in the plastic wrapping on the used rack at a PGASS. I took a chance and put it up against my old Epic Speed driver from 2021. I was shocked with the improvements. With the heavy 14g weight in the back I was seeing some real gains in distance but that wasnt the big story for me. The toe and heal strikes were not nearly as far off line as my old driver and that was the selling point for me. I always am very skeptical of the OEM claims that are put out but in this case Callaway was right on the money.

I never write reviews, but I felt the need to have to write this in case anyone needed validation to get this driver. I switched from the Callaway BB Epic that I had since that released, so about 6ish years. I have seen about 10- 20 yards of gain from this driver, and also the consistency of the ball flight is unbeatable. I have never felt so confident with a club and loved a club so much. Please consider getting fitted before purchasing, but I hope you highly consider buying this club as it is one of the best on the market, or THE best in my opinion. I am a 1 handicap, and prior collegiate golfer so take that as you want.

I received the Srixon ZX5 LS MKII Driver for Christmas 2023. I have been using it for two months and I love it. The all Titanium head has a great sound and feel. I get a lot of carry from the LS model and when the ball lands it bounds forward with plenty of roll out. The driver is plenty forgiving, too. I can tell when I do n't get the sweet spot the ball still flies long and straight. I would definitely recommend this driver to other golfers seeking a low spin driver with forgiveness.

A few months ago I purchased the ZXi 3- metal. I opted for a Tour AD DI- 6 shaft upgrade. This club has been amazing. Without hitting it first I ordered the LS driver with matching upgraded shaft. What I hoped would happen has happened. This new driver is incredible. I reversed the weights to make it a tad bit more forgiving. My spin numbers are down and carry is way up. Mizuno irons are always a great choice, but more people should give this Driver a shot and you will not be disappointed. It is on par with the major OEMs, if not a tick better IMO. I have played 3 rounds with this driver and it performed as expected. A good swing and a near center contact point delivered over 20 extra yards for me and more forgiveness. Only negatives I have so far are a tendency to miss left and the harsh sound at contact( I have gotten use to that now). I believe an adjustment to my loft from 10. 5 to 10 or 9. 5 should fix my left issues. Overall, the Mizuno ST- MAX 230 driver delivers on distance and forgiveness.
