We got a table that came with some paddles that were just the dimple rubber glued to the cheapest wood you can imagine. I hated the feel. I got this one because it had the soft, flat rubber but it was n't as expensive as some of the others. It does the job. The feel is good. I 'm not a good enough player to take advantage or notice anything more advanced than this.

I was in 20kts winds and in choppy water and a strong current in the Gulf of Mexico and it cut through all of that like a breeze! I saw other paddlers struggling and I was fine.
