They are handy if you are an organized packer.( Which is why my wife likes them.) But I really use them to separate our used/dirty clothes as we go along on our trips. When empty they fold up thin and weigh nothing. They seem fairly durable and have good stitching and good zippers.

This bag is incredibly sturdy and if you pack smart and pack light, you can take get weeks to months worth of travel out of this bag while not being an oversized bag( 36L). It keeps good form and structure. It's still relatively new product but so far it has been quite steady. Compression straps, ample space, shoe storage, front pocket, top pocket, laptop/tablet holder and a couple of mesh pockets inside. Side and top handles feel well built. I appreciate the load lifters. It looks good. Would appreciate a full black version but the gray is also quite nice! This one is well designed and will be very popular very soon.

Overall, the bag is great. Granted I 've only used it once, it's shown to be spacious enough to hold well over 10- 14 days worth of clothes if you pack out right. The travel system PD has developed is wonderful. Everything fits just right. I have a medium and small packing cube, which fit perfectly into my 30L travel pack back. The size of the packing cubes are great even if you do n't have a PD travel bag. They are smaller than others I have and fit great into carrier on bags and suitcases. The expansion/compression feature works well and the separated `` dirty '' pocket is very handy. Only down- side is that they are a little pricey, but they are much better designed and constructed than other packing cubes I 've used.

I think the thickness of this bag is the perfect intersection of durable and light- good for a food bag while camping or a dirty laundry bag while traveling. I have never had a S2S buckle break on me, but it's cool that it comes with a field replaceable buckle. I 'm not totally sure what the benefit of the hang tab on the bottom of the bag is for, but I 'm sure there is a reason for it.

The addition of the field repairable buckles has also really secured these as some of the best dry bags on the market. I would still prefer the seal design to be changed into more of an envelope style to ensure an even greater seal at the top but beyond that I really recommend these as long as you can put them in the secondary containment like a backpack.
