This was warmer than anticipated. Have only used it two nights in the Colorado Mountains at 35- 45 degree temps and its all i ended up using those nights. Its also a good size as I am 6' tall and it covered my body perfectly. Also the waterproof material on the front side works extremely well even against red wine!

I prefer quilts/blankets when I 'm car camping and I 'm pretty picky about the material feel of them as well. This blanket checked all my boxes for having a soft cotton feel and light weight packability. I 've only used it during the summer nights but it get me comfortable without overheating. I 've also used it as a picnic blanket because it has a nylon lining on one side perfect for putting out on the grass!

Used as a camp blanket, camp rug, emergency layer. Worked on its own and also as an extra layer for really cold nights. We keep it in the back of the car for emergencies and general outdoor life. The waterproof layer is a bit noisy but so useful to have. The fluffy layer is really cozy. Packed size about that of a stuffed grocery bag- would n't take it backpacking, but great for the car.

I keep this at the ready in my trunk at all times. It's a solid piece to have on hand if you car camp, picnic, have a dog and just generally need something a bit more robust than a blanked and a lot more comfortable than a tarp. I do n't know if I would use this as a blanket like `` I 'm laying down in bed and this is my comforter '' but if you absolutely had to I guess you could. This thing shines at being a barrier between you and the ground.
