I have more than one of these now- two for work& one for play. Fits fantastic, easy adjustment tab in the back. You can `` boonie '' it and scrunch the brim to get that sun that's angled to the side or shove it in your pack/pocket. Take it out and a hard shake will get the brim back. I run this through rocks, brush, sappy pines. No issues or snags. Breathes well and has some water resistance. One of the best things OR has made.

It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.

I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. So, I ’ ve never had hats that looked good on me until I shopped with Sunday. The Athena hat not only looks great, it provides the coverage I need and looks good enough to wear to a wedding. The color goes with everything.

I brought the Athena hat for a month- long trip in Europe! I love that it packs well without losing its shape. I nest it in my luggage( I do n't flatten it), or put it in my( large) purse while traveling. It's held its shape well without getting crumpled. [ The hat seems to fit well as I do have a relatively large head. It blocks sun well. Given I live in Florida, I have not been able to test in the rain yet. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.

This hat is versatile and comfortable. I had one for 10+ years that I wore on all kinds of adventures from hiking in the rain forests of Puerto Rico to hunting in the Rockies to river rafting to taking my dogs on walks until someone stole it out of my truck! This is the second hat in this style that I have purchased. The first one I ’ ve worn for hiking, water aerobics, walking and general use. The fit is adjustable and air vents help in hot tropical weather. The material is lightweight and easy to clean plus the cap bill is foldable which is great for travel.
