The wind block collar adds a bit to the weight but is more than worth it. Works great on windy nights. Best stove I 've ever had. Cup locks into place so it's stable and heats up very fast. Heats 1 cup of water for me with 100 g fuel so I get 10- 13 meals from one small cannister.

Tried and true, it's obvious why the whisperlite remains the top expedition stove. Although it's quite different than the canister stoves, it was very easy to learn and get used to. [ I purchased a 14in explorer and converted it to natural gas. I wanted it to cook things in frying pans and not in the house. Things like fish. It works great and then I discovered the accessories and add- ons. I added the single pizza oven and it's just something else. Took a few tries to get the hang of it but I 'm enjoying the pizza now.

I have had my Explorer for 7 years now and it is going strong! We went from tent to Pop- up to Travel Trailer now and have only cooked on our CC. My Father- in- law and 2 brothers- in- law also have them. Have almost all of the accessories. My only issue is that it seems to get heavier every year?! LOL It IS the only thing we cook on, period! I volunteer heavily with both the BSA and the GSA and needed something to be portable and have the ability to cook a decent amount of food. I bought the Explorer 14 2 Burner Stove And the full size griddle for it. It was easy to assemble, Easy to clean, and I was able to cook two breakfasts and a dinner with ease for a troop of hungry Girlscouts this past weekend. It also heats up water for dishes and cocao pretty fast! Looking back I wish I had also purchased the single burner griddle and the leg levelers. Overall a great stove. It is going to go with me on all future camp outs!

In my opinion this is the best Coleman Stove. The clicking igniter is more durable than the push button type and it does n't move the whole stove when trying to lite- up. The wind deflectors are simple and perform as advertised, the grate is durable and provides adequate support. I expect to have 50 year life with this stove in which it will outlast me. I have been using Coleman camping products since 1963 and this retro stove is the one to buy.

I 'm not sure if we talk more about all the fish we catch or the meals made on the Camp Chef. Our last trip we had a traditional fish fry, fish boil, and blackened on the griddle. Pro 14 two burner cooktop Went to our inaugural Halloween bike ride and one of the guys pulled out a older version of the Pro 14 two burner cooktop and griddle. I could n't believe how easily it setup, cleaned up and made a ton of food for every that came that day. It worked so well that my wife and I ordered one immediately to use on our own trips, gatherings and just some Sunday morning cookout fun. We also purchased the two burner griddle and griddle carrying bags for both the stove and griddle, so nice to keep everything neat and sorted. I 've only used it a couple of times so far but one thing i really noticed was how nice the burner control is, you can turn it down all the way and not worry about the burner flaming out. My only complaint which is minor is that the flip out red lid covers do n't sit completely flat like my friends did. Perhaps they will wear in with a bit more use.

Since we bought this for memorial day and didn ’ t get a chance to use it all summer I was starting to have buyers remorse. But after using it one long weekend I ’ m in love. We bought the griddle and the grill accessories. One of my favorite things is that which ever one I ’ m not using acts is a warmer as I continue cooking other food. I literally planned an entire three day weekend of cooking around my new camp chef cooking system even though we have a camper with a stove and oven. Great Stove. I own three total, but this one is our elk camp stove. We use it 3 weeks per year and it's buried in a stash on our property the rest of the year. It's been up there for 18 years and fires up every time we pull it out. We also have the two burner and three burner griddle that have lasted since our very first three burner stove over 20 years ago.

[ Easy to use, flexes to wrap around almost any canister( I have an optimus Crux- lite but feel this would probably work for most backpacking stove that uses a canister). Watch pot size however, wo n't accommodate larger pots. Slides nicely in my Halulite Microdualist II Cookset bag.

I have an overland sprinter van so this is nice when I want to cook with fire outside instead of the induction cooktop in the van. Everything store quick and easy in its own carrying case. The little propane bottles last quite a long time when using this. Not a huge fan of the lid for the pan but also don ’ t really use it at all for it to be an issue. Great little stove.

[ I recently purchased this product to carry in my pickup as a basecamp. It is compact and the ease of use is amazing. I greatly appreciate the ability to control the flame from quick boil to simmer. My old trustworthy cast iron pan works well with the ability to regulate the heat. Its pricey but you get what you pay for and I 'm looking forward to years of use and convenience. Ps my buddies are equally impressed.
