[ Build quality is excellent. Lightweight with long spikes for excellent traction. I should have bought these a long time ago. I am new to using crampons, but these have delivered on everything I asked them to do.

[ I bought these a few months back and as a hiking guide I can say they are worth every penny. I use them on a few of our hikes that we would otherwise not be able to go on. I 'm thankful for finding a good brand the first time.

5 CLaw
[ I bought these for my trip to Alaska. Glad I did. Great price, well made, good fit, easy to put on. These fit securely and are very easy to get off and on. I like the fact that they have the Velcro strap that goes over the top. I felt very secure walking on the glaciers with these.

Have been using these here in the Adirondacks on low- snow- year, moderately steep hikes. Versatile so far, allowing for excellent traction on packed snow and variable iced- up stream beds. Ca n't comment on durability so far as I 've only had them a couple of weeks, but so far so good. Pay attention to the size chart, and tend to the lower end of your size. I wear a size 9 and went from size large to a medium. You want these to be snug on your kicks... Also, had a great transaction with Dick's exchanging for the right size. All in all, a great purchase!

Easy on, easy off. Excellent traction. Perfect for keeping in your car for icy parking lots, etc.

5 Hikes with dogs
These are awesome. I can ’ t imagine winter up here in NH without them. They fit onto any shoe and really help for dog walking and hiking in icy conditions. My current set has lasted for 2 years, but now needs to be replaced. I ’ m so glad I found these.

5 Icefish
I ’ m out ice fishing nearly every weekend and these crampons make a huge difference. They don ’ t slide causing discomfort, and they ’ re snug fit keeps them in place. Others I ’ ve owned just don ’ t have the same bite.

I bought these just before a big snow/ice storm and they were great. Fit well over boots. No slippage on boots. Great grip on the snow and ice. You should n't wear them inside on wood floors but I had no problem with carpet and linoleum. Felt safe for the first time in my icy driveway!

Frequently Asked Questions For Winter Traction Devices

Winter traction devices are accessories designed to improve grip and stability on icy or snowy surfaces. They typically feature spikes, chains, or rubber materials that attach to footwear, enhancing traction and reducing the risk of slips and falls. These devices are particularly useful for walking, hiking, or performing outdoor activities during winter conditions.

Winter traction devices are often made from durable materials such as rubber, metal, and synthetic compounds. Rubber provides flexibility and grip, while metal spikes or chains offer enhanced traction on ice and snow. The combination of these materials ensures that the devices can withstand harsh winter conditions while providing reliable performance.

Most winter traction devices are designed to fit a variety of footwear styles, including boots and shoes. However, it is important to check the sizing and compatibility of the device with your specific footwear to ensure a secure fit. Some devices may be better suited for specific types of shoes, such as those with a more rugged sole.

Winter traction devices are best used in icy or snowy conditions where slipping is a concern. They are ideal for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, or commuting in winter weather. Using these devices can significantly enhance your stability and safety when navigating slippery surfaces.

Choosing the right winter traction device depends on your specific activities and the conditions you expect to encounter. Consider factors such as the type of terrain you will be on, the level of traction you need, and the fit with your footwear. Additionally, look for features like ease of use and portability to find a device that suits your lifestyle.
