[ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly `` all- terrain '', both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore- Tex material, making them water resistant( no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non- trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. As with any Pegasus, I 'd recommend sizing up half a size if you regularly run long distances( 6+ miles). Looking forward to many trail runs over the summer!

[ Wow! These are my new go- to workout shoes. I do everything in them and have experienced no problems during my Zumba, cycling, running, and HIIT workouts. They ’ re super spongy, almost like walking on one of those rubber bouncy floors at the playground. The mesh material keeps them airy and lightweight. They don ’ t have much grip on indoor hard floors but they still get the job done. Outdoors they ’ re great and really flex well with the changing terrain. The curved sole in the back has a unique design and allows for a lot more mobility than a flat shoe. It ’s almost like rocking in a rocking chair! If I could change one tiny thing I would like to have the foam piece on the back heel sit a little higher for more support but it ’s not a big deal at all, just a personal preference. Regardless, these shoes are still so soft and comfortable. I ’ d definitely get more of the w pegasus trail 5 gtx in different colors!

I ’ ve only had these shoes for a short time, but so far I ’ m very impressed. I previously wore the Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GORE- TEX and loved them, so I was a little hesitant to try something new. The fit and overall feel are similar enough that the transition has been easy, with no significant break- in period for me. I have high arches, a higher instep, and toes that like room to spread when I walk. I also tend to notice pressure points and fit issues quickly. These shoes provide a nice balance of stability and flexibility without feeling overly rigid or overly cushioned. They feel secure through the midfoot while still allowing natural foot movement, which is important for my walking/running style. For sizing reference, I wore a size 8 in my Pegasus Trail 4 GORE- TEX and chose an 8. 5 in these. I ’ ve experienced no rubbing, hot spots, or heel issues so far, and they ’ ve been comfortable from the first wear. The traction and overall ride feel well suited for walking on a mix of pavement, road shoulders, and uneven terrain. My only wish is that there were more color options available when I ordered. I recently noticed the customization option and would have loved that feature from the start. In fact, I ’ m already considering picking up a second pair as a backup because I like them that much and hope Nike keeps this model around for a long time.

I love that they ’ re not super narrow at the toe area like some running shoes, my toes can breathe and allows me to feel more comfortable running. They have great cushion at the bottom that allow a boost/little jump when you ’ re running for support. The bottom has tracks that allow you to run on different surfaces and not slip. The grip really well. Broke my pair in walking around the city and at work for a few days and then hiked in them and loved them! Got ta love Gore- Tex, was walking through streams like it was nothing! The grip left me feeling secure, even at spots that were a little rugged or slick. I purchased a pair of the women ’s Merrell Wrapt activity shoe for hiking walks up in the foothills. They were recommended by a friend and I received a discount on my order. I ’ ve enjoyed the shoes for a few months now and can say I am very happy with my purchase. I normally wear a size 8. 5 and ordered a 9 based on some reviews. Ordering half size up worked for me and have no issue around the toe box wearing socks. These have done amazing on dirt and paved trails. My area has seen rain so I ’ ve hiked 5 miles in the mud with no slipping. Same with trail rocks, the shoes have amazing grip. The one thing I noticed is I have to double knot or the laces will continue to untie…and maybe double knotting is a normal thing to do.

[ The Cascadia 20 surprised me. I tried some Cascadias many years ago in my search for trail running shoes, and they did not work out. They were too narrow and not at all comfortable to me. Brooks has made some great updates though! The Cascadia 20 was comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them for short and long trail runs, and they remained just as comfortable at the end as the beginning. These shoes have ample cushion but not so much that it makes you feel unsteady on the unstable terrain of the trails. My feet were well- protected from sticks and rocks poking them. My biggest complaint about any running shoes is how narrow the toe box is, but I was so happy to find these had great space there. Additionally, the soles provided excellent traction on technical trails, both wet and dry. They performed well on trails made of grass, rocks, roots, creek crossings, wet bridges. The Cascadia 20 will have a permanent place in my trail shoe rotation.

[ I 've really enjoyed the Cascadia 20s. They 're comfortable, supportive, and have quickly become one of my favorite trail shoes. The traction is reliable on dirt, gravel, and rocky trails, and I felt confident hiking in them. They were n't the best on wet sand, but that's pretty typical for most of my trail shoes. They were also a little squeaky during the first few hours of wear, but that went away after breaking them in. The stability is excellent, and I always felt secure on uneven terrain. The cushioning provides a good balance of comfort and protection, keeping my feet comfortable on longer hikes while still shielding them from rocks and rough trails. Overall, the Cascadia 20s are a dependable, comfortable trail shoe that I 'd definitely keep reaching for on future hikes.

[ The Cascadia 20 gripped like glue to every surface I encountered. They were very engineered and well made. I never felt my foot slip in any direction. The construction was solid especially on rocky terrain I encountered while hiking in Colorado. Whether it was rocks, gravel, or wet surfaces this shoes could handle it all. My hikes range from 3 miles to 10 and I could definitely withstand this structure for long distances versus other hiking shoe brands in the past. I didn ’ t feel like I needed to break these shoes in to go the distance. My biggest wow factor was crossing creeks with my kids( normally a lot of foot slip) and I barely had to use my pole to stabilize due to remarkable stability.

Loved the previous versions of the Speedgoat, but the 6 felt “ off ” to me, and had durability issues so I switched over to a different brand. Luckily the Speedgoat 7 fixes many of my previous complaints and is a light, cushioned trail shoe that still provides a good ground feel. I have long, square shaped feet and the toe box felt slightly narrow; sizing up made the whole shoe too big, so I stuck with my traditional size and did a heel lock lace tie which helped keep the foot in place!

[ These shoes are a 10 out of 10 for me. They fit true to size and are made of a comfortable and breathable fabric. They are a little tighter around the ankles than a typical shoe, but for running is offers stability and support that I appreciate. For trail running in particular, it is even better because I do n't fear rolling my ankle. The design is very cutesy without sacrificing stability, although I would have preferred darker colors as these will stain very quickly. The soles seem to be pretty thick which suprised me at first but I quickly found that was a benefit. When moving up hills, the shoe itself almost seemed to rock on the soles and help me up the hills easier. There is not much I would change about the Caldera 8. My only( small) issue is how big they seem, but they are for running not for fashion so they get the job done. I would recommend these to any trail runner, from beginner to experts.

I 've worn them on dry runs and just after rainfall, and the footprint/sole of this sneaker felt like it grasped the earth well in both circumstances. The elastic ankle detail hugged my foot just enough for added stabilization. I could really feel the vibram sole and full cushioning which I prefer when trail running. I appreciated the non slip grip the laces had on the upper, they felt secure the duration of each run. But my main takeaway was the width of the sole at the ball of the foot. It really felt different compared to other sneakers I run on trail with. This felt like when my foot stuck the ground, it was fully connecting, giving me more confidence and security with each step. Even though it ’s not labeled as a wide shoe, it still worked well for my feet and provided solid arch support. My only recommendation would be to wear high socks and avoid wearing them barefoot. I made the mistake of doing a 2- mile uphill run without socks and ended up with blisters, so good socks definitely make a difference.

I unfortunately don ’ t live near much off road terrain and end up using these a lot on pavement, but even for pavement, they ’ re quick, durable, and adapt well to road conditions. They ’ re also pretty grippy in snow and icy conditions. The shoe laces are a bit slick, but there ’s a little pocket on the tongue of the shoe where you can tuck the laces to keep them tied and out of the way. One of the best aspects of these shoes is how washable they are. I have a light pair that I get pretty muddy and they clean right up with a run through the washer.

Right out of the box, I wore them on a hike for over an hour on a dirt and rocky trail with uneven surfaces and several creek crossings. I was impressed that I had no stiffness, rubbing, or blisters at all. They do feel firmer and more structured than a regular tennis shoe, but that is part of what made them feel so supportive and sturdy on the trail. Even though they are waterproof, my feet did not feel hot or sweaty. I have found myself reaching for them several times since that first hike because they are comfortable, supportive, and practical for outdoor use. My only complaint is the appearance of the all- black color. To me, it can look a little orthopedic, so I would probably choose one of the other available color options. Aside from the color, I would definitely recommend these shoes.

The Cascadia 20 GTX are great shoes on the outside but the comfort and cushioning on the inside of the shoes are so dreamy. The insole was soft and supportive and I did n't need to break in the shoes they were adaptable to my feet from day one and I enjoyed varied trail lengths from short mornings out to longer hikes. Very comfortable performance on the inside of there shoes. The all weather performance was so helpful for taking this pair to varied climates. My feet were comfortable and dry in this pair and these can be taken on a trip as a great option for all around use and comfort. All around comfort and stability in rainy and wet trail conditions.
