[ At first glance when taking the Metcon 9 's out of the box I thought for sure they were going to be too big. I was extremely happy once I put them on that I was wrong because I loved the color, design, and weight of the shoe. The shoe looks wider than necessary when you look at it( or maybe I 'm just used to more narrow looking shoes), but once it is on you realize that the shoe hugs your food just right and allows space for your foot to expand while moving. If you are more into the natural fit then this is the shoe for you. The heel is a lot more stiff than I 'm used to for Nike, but to be honest, I like it a lot better that way. The shoe holds on to your heel for next to no movement. The grip on the shoe is next level as well, I 'm in the mountains, we hike a lot on unsteady terrain. The soles on these shoes gripped everything just right. The fabric breathes, but will also get wet very easily, I would n't wear these on a rainy day or on a rainy excursion. Love the velcro flap on the tongue to hold the shoe laces in place! That 's a nice touch I had yet to see in any sneaker design.

I have average width feet( I can wear 270 ’s but they ’ re a tiny bit too narrow for me) and these were just right. I have been using running shoes for CrossFit for years and the switch to these has been incredible! I love to use them on heavy weight leg days because they provide great stability making me feel more grounded and stable. They are awesome for short runs. I would say up to about 3 miles. I tend to have a problem with some running shoes because the toe box usually runs narrow but these have just the right amount of space. Because their use is so diverse, they are exceptional for my metabolic conditioning. These shoes would also be great for every day use but I like to keep my training shoes strictly for training. But, I might just get a second pair for casual wear!

I had seriously injured my leg 2 months ago and my physical therapist suggested I buy Asics, which I did. This shoes in white color are amazing. There is a little criticism about heel slip but runners knot solves that issue and heel slip doesn ’ t happen while walking so it ’s fine. The only real criticism I have about this shoe is its upper mesh is not good enough for the original price tag. It should be soft and shoe should be bendable in the front to be called a real runner shoe. Overall this is a most comfortable shoe I have ever tried. I can wear them all day and still not be tired so this is definitely a good all day walking or working shoes.

This is my first pair of Nike 's. Initially, I was a little back and forth on the upper as it felt loose in some areas and tight in others. There was some heel slippage on the first run as well that a runners knot cured. After 4 runs, twenty miles, and going back to normal tying, these shoes have broken in nicely and fit great with no slipping. They are incredibly comfortable and stable and are at home on the treadmill and the road. These are NOT go fast shoes by any means and nail the recovery or easy run role for me that still go the distance. They look great in the white/blue/orange colorway. Very happy with them!

I really love these shoes right off the bat. I was nervous because I read reviews on past versions of this shoe that they run tight-& smallish so I ordered these in a half size bigger and they fit perfect. The sole is very cushy, and the design provides a lot of support on the sides and on top which I appreciate for lifting. My feet are more narrow and I think someone with wider feet might not do well with this style- the sides are stiff for support which could hurt people ’s feet. Overall super solid choice for me- plan to use for running and lifting, might buy another pair for nursing.

The soles of the Rykas I received were dirty and the right shoe toe was creased, obvious signs of wear. It would have been nice if that information was made known online before purchase and the price discounted giving the customer a choice. I returned them to my local Dick ’s pointing out the usage as my reason for returning. The clerk was polite but could only me a$ 20 coupon after spending$ 100.
