Great hook for rigging soft plastics. I usually run mine in a Carolina rig.

5 Better Than Work
Bought these weighted hooks so my son could cast further when using plastic rubber worm lures instead of using split shot. He smoked me the first day he used them. He caught six and I caught none. I definitely attributed to him being able to get the lures further into the water from land. He was able to get it to the drop offs for large mouth bass

16 th oz. Weight is perfect for a wacky worm not too slow or too fast.

5 Toruk
Bought this as a weight for a spoon. Using 8ft of leader between the two items. Convenient eyes on either end for tying it together. Seems to do the job.

5 Kyzak
Have used similar sinkers for years. Actively searched many bait& tackle stores as well as Dick ’s, Sports Authority etc. for these without success. Found some with fins, but not 3& 4 ounces. I use these for cut bait fishing from shore. They pick- up less weeds. I was really surprised that Eagle Claw is making the product and that Dick ’s is selling them. Great product for casting from shore. Completely satisfied!

5 midwestexile
It is a sinker, which means it is heavy( lead) and has swivel attachment points. I cab insert it in line and cast a small jig a long way across an inlet.

Frequently Asked Questions For Worm Weight Sinkers

Worm weight sinkers are primarily used to help anglers cast their bait deeper into the water and maintain better control over their lures. They are designed to minimize resistance while allowing the bait to sink to the desired depth. This makes them ideal for various fishing techniques, especially when targeting species that are closer to the bottom.

Worm weight sinkers are typically made from materials like lead, tungsten, or steel. Lead is the most common due to its density and affordability, while tungsten offers a smaller profile and is favored for its sensitivity and eco-friendliness. Steel options are also available, providing a balance between weight and environmental considerations.

Choosing the right weight for your worm sinker depends on factors such as water depth, current strength, and the type of bait being used. Heavier sinkers are suitable for deeper waters or strong currents, while lighter weights work well in shallower areas or when a more subtle presentation is needed. It's important to match the weight to the fishing conditions for optimal performance.

Yes, there are various styles of worm weight sinkers, including bullet weights, slip sinkers, and drop shot weights. Bullet weights are streamlined for better casting and are often used for Texas rigging. Slip sinkers allow for free movement of the bait, which can be beneficial in certain fishing scenarios. Each style serves a specific purpose and can affect how the bait behaves in the water.

When selecting worm weight sinkers, consider the material and construction quality. Tungsten sinkers are generally more durable than lead due to their hardness, making them less prone to chipping or breaking. Additionally, look for sinkers with a smooth finish to reduce line wear and ensure longevity during repeated use.
