We purchased a Tundra haul cooler mainly for our son ’s bday party, but we also have another Yeti cooler and know the value of them. Both coolers were side by side, baking in the sun at the beach. Our old cooler went 6 hours without ice melting( and it probably could ’ ve gone longer). The new one that we purchased at Dick ’s melted within an hour. My husband ran to grab ice throughout the party to keep the food to temperature. I contacted yeti along with pictures and video of an experiment I did the next day at home where the ice melted immediately. Their representative said there was not enough evidence and that I needed to pre ice the cooler with “ sacrificial ” ice. I took the cooler back to Dick ’s and they exchanged it for a new one. Although it wasn ’ t the original color, we were glad they were willing to make things right because Yeti didn ’ t.

Recently a theif thought he needed it worse than i did cut my cables and it was gone.. My sister and her husband have a Tundra110 on their boat. Not only did it hold ice for several days, it provided a place to sit- even in 3'- 4' waves while moving across a lake at 50+ mph. We ’ ve had our 110 for half the summer and it has surpassed my skeptical expectations. After using it for a couple back to back weekends on the Colorado River above Moab in 100+ degree heat I ’ m a believer. What ’s really made an impact is that after sitting in a raft all weekend and then a few more days in the sun of our driveway, there is still ice! Regarding strength, some friends of ours have a Tundra 125 that floated away after high siding a rock on the Dolores River above the Pumphouse take out this spring. Their cooler was found by another party over 5 miles downstream after passing through the notorious Snaggletooth rapids and multiple class 3 sections of river. The cooler had one character adding gouge but was otherwise unscathed.

[ I bought this cooler a bit more than a month ago and have only had a few opportunities to play with it so far. Not once have I been disappointed! The ice stays cold, I did the first test by tossing a sacrificial bag of ice in the cooler to pre- chill it but that ice only melted about 3/4 cup so had a spare bag of ice just lying around. The tips are perfect as well for loading. I only wish the cooler dividers had a few more options, namely a 3/4 divider widthwise instead of only splitting it 50/50.

We went on a week long road trip to Yellowstone National Park and bought this right before the trip. Did the “ pre- cooling ” thing the day before. Threw 2 bags of ice and a frozen 2 liter bottle of water in there with our food the day we left town. Didn ’ t have to buy more ice for 4 days! Got the 75 for a Meat locker when I quarter my deer to give me time to process it during early season. I have used it twice and has been absolutely AWESOME! I think I will be getting a 110 next. Some people say these coolers are heavy when they have Ice. I did not find that to be the case. The ice retention is Phenomenal and it does exactly what I need it to do I did n't have to swap out ice once in 3 days and there was ALOT of it left. I also got the Divider for when we go camping it fits great! Dry basket is also nice! But I will be using this for processing mostly.

I will use this for work meals, fishing, picnic for 1- 2, taking to the ballpark, long drives, etc. It ’s a little bigger inside than the flip 8 and the hard cooler option allows use as a table or seat. Tie down slots are integrated into the comfortable new small haul handle and includes a rubber grip for wet hands and good grip when full, though I like the optional double duty strap you can buy for hands free use. Fits more than it looks like it should. Great compliment to my roadie 15 and tundra 35. Size may not be for everyone but then, neither is the tundra 160. For those needing to fit this size and use need, it might be perfect.

Owning many other Yeti products including a Tundra cooler, I knew I had to have the Silo 6G. I just needed to find an excuse to convince my wife we needed one. When she told me we were hosting a New Years Eve party this year and she needed a large container to hold bulk libations, I knew this was my prime opportunity! Last night we prepped 6 gallons of spiked punch and it fit perfectly! While we opted for no ice to prevent watering down our concoction, I have no doubt about ice retention. There is one thing I wish Yeti would have included on the Silo 6G, a lock- out on the spigot. As soon as we got the Silo all filled up with our ingredients, what was the first thing my 4 year old did? She went over and pushed the button, causing boozy goodness to efficiently flow through the Surepour Spigot all down the front of her and all down the front of my white cabinets. Oh well, at least we still have 5. 9 gallons to ring in the new year with. Yeti, once again, has knocked it out of the park!
