I have been using the 7/0 and 8/0 hooks for many years and catch many more fish than my friends using regular hooks. I tie them with 2' of 40lb fluorcarbon and use a fishfinder rig with 4oz to 8oz of lead. Fresh bunker[ menhaden] is the choice bait. The fish hook themselves.

i use these things for rigginmg soft plastics for bass. i rigged it on a little minnow, and it withstood a 13 lb bass. easy rigging, hook setting, and even a nice look for some bait. the only thing i didnt like about it, is tha t the hooks can sometimes be brittle. i was fighting a fish one day, and the hook snapped in half. still attacheed! but other than that, well made, great quality, and a definate addition to any tackle box!

I was sick of using traditional EWG hooks for throwing worms/craws/creature baits, because they would constantly slip down the hook. So I started trying twist lock swimbait hooks. I throw these only on braided line. Great hook up ratio and really strong wire hook. Have not bent any out. I use the 3/0 and 4/0. I do n't use them for swimbaits, but for plastic creature baits and worms. Gives them a faster sink rate due to the thicker gauge wire.
