I ordered 2 pairs( different colors), one in size 5. 5, the other a size 6. They are both good for me- I wear a very thin sock with the smaller size and a thicker one with the larger size, and the feel and performance is practically the same. [ I ’ ve been seeking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in long distance, can maintain its support, and ultimately be my go- to walking shoes for the 1+ hr daily walks with my dog. I ’ m usually splitting my time between three different pairs of shoes for these daily walks- leather Jordans for when it ’s slightly wet outside, rain boots when it ’s really wet, and knitted running shoes for the nicer days in case we want to jog at any point during the walk. Because the Gore- Tex is versatile, it was able to address all three case needs and I have been wearing it every day for the past two weeks since I got them. The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly. There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore). As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail. I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear. Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes.

Absolutely love these shoes! I am a physical therapist and a farm girls so I am on my feet a lot. I have nerve damage in my feet and these are the only shoes I have found that I can wear without my custom orthotics. I also have plantar fasciitis and they work well for the condition for me. It has the same fit as previous versions of the Ride. It seems to have more padding, but the padding is still firm and requires some break- in time. I expect it to feel softer after 10 miles or so.

I have had the ride 17 for several months now and I LOVE these shoes! I enjoyed my previous rides( 15) but I did have several small issues with them and the ride 17s have fixed all of these issues! The ride 15s always felt a little narrow on my foot and they were hard to get on…the 17s fit wider and my foot slips into them easily! I have actually considered going down half a size but I live in an area that gets very hot in summer so decided to stick with my size 7s to allow for swollen feet! The previous 15s had very short laces and I had trouble doing double knots for race day…the 17s have lovely long laces so no need now for double knots! There is now a loop on the back of the heel which really helps with getting the shoe on! And they are. very cushioned as well as being responsive! I have been able to do faster sprint workouts( strides) which is really helping with my confidence for improving my next half marathon time! I have a spring half I am preparing for as well as a fall marathon, and although I would love to move up to a plated shoe( such as the endorphin speed 4) my budget doesn ’ t allow for another purchase right now so I will stick with the 17s.

I bought these shoes and I could n't be happier. I have high arches and I had a hard time finding a shoe that were comfortable and supported my feet. Most running shoes have a high heel drop or a lower heal drop and too much cushion and that is not ideal for someone with a high arch and shin splints. I have recently started running more, and these shoes are more luxe than I could have imagined. They are my first super shoe. I also run in the Evo SL, and I sized up in this model due to running in heat and fearing my feet would swell a lot during a race. I think I could have actually gone either my normal size or up 1/2. I bought these for a weeklong trip to Disney World and they were great. They fit perfectly and even with hours of daily walking they were wonderfully comfortable. I also bought a pair of the GEL- CONTEND 9 in wide and swapped back and forth from one day to the other. Both are very comfortable shoes and breath well which is important in the muggy Florida heat. My last two pairs of shoes have been the Adrenaline21 so this was a step forward for me( pun intended!). Instantly felt both familiar and comfortable. I love the colour way of Zephyr Blue Coconut- just the right amount of pop!
